| Aug 28 03:46:00 | Revolvolution | Haha, nice work! I like it a lot. I didn't get too far, but I'll be trying again tomorrow! Keep it up! | |
| Aug 28 18:27:00 | 14h 41m | I'd Change the World for You | You said you updated to decrease lag? I still get lag myself. Perhaps, and this might be a bit much to put as a fix, but I'm saying it anyway, that you should only run these tile checks for tiles visible to the player? |
| Aug 28 21:48:00 | 3h 21m | MatterSplatter | Well. This is... bizarre. |
| Aug 28 22:08:00 | 20m 00s | The Darwinizer | Huh. I'd like to play this, but upon running it, all I get is this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/otlmr6atlkue8ks/error.png |
| Aug 28 22:19:00 | 11m 00s | Evo | From the way you talk about this, you'd think it'd be pretty terrible, but I actually think it's pretty neat. My one complaint is the text on the first island is hard to read when moving so fast. |
| Aug 28 22:37:00 | 18m 00s | Oneway | Ah, I didn't get what I was doing at first, but then I did. Good job! |
| Aug 28 22:54:00 | 17m 00s | AvRvE | Nice. Very nice. The graphics never disappoint with you two! I agree, this game could and should be expanded up to 10 times it's current length. |
| Aug 28 23:59:00 | 1h 05m | evolution of monsters | So, I get the idea your dad doesn't know about this?

My advice, tell him. No matter what he'll say. |
| Aug 29 00:05:00 | 6m 00s | Screaming Fish Growing Appendages | I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't play this due to some sort of inadequate GPU problem. Sorry about that. |
| Aug 29 00:13:00 | 8m 00s | The Unbeatable Blob | Hehe. Cool, reminds me of the food chain. |
| Aug 29 01:11:00 | 58m 00s | NICE SHOOT | The sound effects are kind of annoying... It sounds like they're playing more than once like they should. It's okay, though. I think there's an end, right?, but I haven't gotten to it. |
| Aug 29 01:37:00 | 26m 00s | Fantasy Map Tactics | Hmm. What is the point of the castles if all you need is to capture cities?

Anyway, nice game! It's pretty awesome for a board style game, which I don't always enjoy. |
| Aug 29 01:49:00 | 12m 00s | The Debate | Interesting. This does, after all, show us something: This debate will go on forever, back and forth monotonously. Like pong. Good job, despite it not having much work in it. |
| Aug 29 17:16:00 | 15h 27m | Kitty Breeder 2012 | This is pretty challenging! Good job! Definitely a great interpretation of the theme.

Also, I've gotten someone to help me turn my Mac build of Adaption into something that'll hopefully work on your system! Do you mind trying it again? |
| Aug 29 17:33:00 | 17m 00s | Religion Evolutionary Simulator | Hmm. This is interesting. I do wish that you had time to add some properties to the religion that are good... I don't believe religion is just a potential militant force. But of course, everyone has different opinions. |
| Aug 29 17:57:00 | 24m 00s | Soul Jar | The first time I played this, I didn't get that I was influencing the robot. I died. Then I paid attention to the messages popping up. OH. I died again. I still haven't gotten an end, and I haven't rated it yet, but I'm loving this.

You wanna know what's funny? The art style is so oddly familiar, because it is almost exactly how I internally imagine how my games should look. It's like, when I imagine a new game idea, the graphics are really similar to yours. Capturing subtle beauty in a broad and unknown landscape... It's fantastic. Unfortunately, I can never get it to look like that in real life like you. |
| Aug 29 19:14:00 | 1h 17m | Gems of the Evolving Land | There doesn't appear to be a real win condition, I believe? I guess I can say I beat it then! The controls were not exactly intuitive, in fact, they were a bit confusing, in my opinion. But this game is decent, and I encourage you to keep working on it! |
| Aug 30 02:55:00 | 7h 41m | Targeted Evolution | I LIKE TURNING INTO GODZILLA!

I liked how the Professor mentioned keys and the guy didn't know what he was saying. That was hilarious. Great game, 5 for humor.

By the way, I noticed you gave me a "Good Samaritan" award. What was that meant for? :) |
| Aug 30 17:58:00 | 15h 03m | Gene Binder | I don't quite get it... But it's cool! |
| Aug 30 18:17:00 | 19m 00s | How evolution really works? | I now know all I need to know about evolution! |
| Aug 30 18:34:00 | 17m 00s | Save The Memepool | Heheh, funny stuff! I don't really understand why it's Richard Dawkins talking about culture, I mean, I know he's the "evolution rules and god is awful" guy, but he's not really that cultural, is he?

Oh, who cares? Great game! |
| Aug 30 18:50:00 | 16m 00s | Evolution: A Parallel Narrative | Such a strange and wonderful multiverse you have created. Amazing. |
| Aug 30 19:09:00 | 19m 00s | LimiT | Interestingly freaky. Nice job! You have a TON of comments! |
| Aug 30 19:22:00 | 13m 00s | Terra Tam: The World Warrior | Weird game, man. Weird game. |
| Aug 30 19:50:00 | 28m 00s | Psychiatric Evaluation | Freaky. The text adventure part really made me feel insane. I love feeling insane! hahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH i'm not mad... don't you see it... LOOKAT IT! |
| Aug 30 20:04:00 | 14m 00s | OF SPECIES | Woah... Nice. I didn't jump at anything, but I'm kind of hard to scare when I'm given a warning (a.k.a. reading the ominous monologue thing in the description.) I like it, and the system is amazing. Please, give this a remake, or a sequel or something. And tell me when you do! |
| Aug 30 21:32:00 | 1h 28m | Microraptor | Pretty cool, despite being unfinished. I agree with Wan, what was it meant to become?

P.S. I think you should give my game another try. From your comment, you didn't seem to understand exactly how it works. ;) |
| Aug 30 23:00:00 | 1h 28m | Octogeddon | Would someone rip me away from my computer screen? Because this ROCKS. I've played it longer than any other entry. Upgrade games have a real potential for LD, it seems. Probably because level design is so minimal. |
| Aug 30 23:33:00 | 33m 00s | Space Mayham | Guys, guys! To anyone who's having troubles with the graphics card thing, I just accidentally found a solution! Go to your Device Manager, go to display adapters, and then right-click your graphics card and press "Update Driver Software!" Does the trick just fine!

To the developers: I suggest you put this in the description. |
| Aug 31 00:11:00 | 38m 00s | Project "E" | Interesting, very interesting... I like this thing. The idea of mankind naturally evolving to become hugantic is a bit peculiar, but hey, it works. The soundtrack was a bit actiony for a puzzle game, and the grey walls often blended with other gray wall to the point of invisibility, but those are my only complaints. |
| Aug 31 00:30:00 | 19m 00s | Strike of Rage ! | Darn, can't beat it. I like to see you're trying something different from your more recent melancholy tone in games. |
| Aug 31 14:15:00 | 13h 45m | Revolution | Fantastic game! I like how you make the player circle the ring to get the mask, forcing combat! |
| Aug 31 14:21:00 | 6m 00s | Amazing Neko Neko Shop | I still don't have music myself. Windows 7, 64-bit. |
| Aug 31 14:49:00 | 28m 00s | A New Kind of Man | I like it, despite the length. It's a very nice idea. |
| Aug 31 15:18:00 | 29m 00s | Human 2.0 | You're not really supposed to get sounds from freesound in a compo entry, SFX must be made during the competition, but hey, what's done is done. As long as you don't do it again next time. :)

Very atmospheric, as the others said. It was very creepy... I think it's because it makes you think, "Are we being bred for something by some unseen force?" Insanely cool. |
| Aug 31 17:51:00 | 2h 33m | Papillon | I won't beat it, because I got really far, and then my computer shut down due to intense lagging. Normally, this would be fine, because you implemented a save, but my save went out in the room you get the thing that breaks white barriers, right after getting it. So, those white blocks were there, I couldn't get up and around, and the powerup I collected was missing even if I could get up there, and I didn't have its powers. So, basically, my save was corrupt.

Anyway, I liked what I saw. Those monster bosses were freaky looking. Good job! |
| Aug 31 18:02:00 | 11m 00s | A Blug's Life | I like it. Really, good graphics, too. |
| Aug 31 18:41:00 | 39m 00s | Dinosauria Square | I liked it, although I never got strong enough to face the dragon. Good work you have here. |
| Aug 31 19:24:00 | 43m 00s | Stevie Asteroid Rescues the Hovercredits | Brilliance! I love it! My game evolves as well, but in mechanics, not in graphics. To be honest, while the game itself is okay, what makes it even better is the story behind its development! Some of the things you've done here not even I have, such as run cycles and moving platforms, so I must say you've done fantastic! |
| Aug 31 19:44:00 | 20m 00s | Vesuvius | Someone should upload this on a server and put the link in the comments. It would help a lot. |
| Aug 31 20:02:00 | 18m 00s | My Pairs and Me | Very odd. Very odd. In a good way, though. |
| Aug 31 20:23:00 | 21m 00s | RED PLANET | I really like it! I thought it could use some slight polish, and yeah, I guess maybe some more gameplay, but you managed to spin together a nice sci-fi experience. One flaw with the story many people have overlooked, which is good for you guys: Why does he need a suit the first time he goes out, but not the second? Just a thought. |
| Aug 31 20:37:00 | 14m 00s | The life of Cat | I thought the speeds were just right! Great game, great way to use kittens without going crazy. |
| Aug 31 20:59:00 | 22m 00s | The Unravelling Of The World By A Man Made Monstrosity | Brilliance! I could only beat it through running fast, though, like Dadayemi pointed out. Death sound is hilarious, and I'm glad you decided to voice act! I think Sergei Russiashinov or whatever needs to be in more games! |
| Aug 31 23:14:00 | 2h 15m | Finally done!! | I'm gonna go the other direction and say, despite graphics being ripped, I myself thought it was pretty fun. A good way to waste some time. Keep going, Two Dice! |
| Sep 1 14:48:00 | 15h 34m | Planet Evo | Same glitch Uberi first reported here. A shame, too, it looks good. |
| Sep 1 14:59:00 | 11m 00s | Epic Pong Evolution | Well, why you can't mess up pong, this is pretty boring. My suggestion, instead of a change every ten points, do it every three. You don't have enough here to keep people playing for 10 after 10 after 10. |
| Sep 1 15:25:00 | 26m 00s | Caveman Evolution Story | Nice. Very nice. Simplicity is great. |
| Sep 1 16:19:00 | 54m 00s | Red Underpants : Minislip and the strange helicopter | This is one of the most fun things I've played so far! I love it, it feels almost complete! In fact, until reading these comments, I didn't even realize there wasn't music, a good thing if you ask me! Despite some wonky physics, this is fantastic. 5 stars! |
| Sep 2 15:34:00 | 23h 15m | GIFT | Dude, let's be honest, this thing is way too hard. As a player, I probably wouldn't be playing it, but I'm here to rate.
I like how you had some of the good stuff, like achievements and things of the like, and it looks like some auto-tiling, which is always nice. But the game itself is too hard to be casual, I mean, it took me 5 or 6 tries to beat the first level. This might be tough for you, but it would be cool if killing a carrot makes all his bullets, which you'll hopefully make bigger, disappear if they're still on screen.

Also, your site link seems to be down. I could only still play through Google's cached copy of the page. |
| Sep 2 18:59:00 | 3h 25m | A.D.A.P.T.S | Pretty awesome, great graphics, great game. My one gripe is that, I know the ship gets easier to control as you play and get new stuff, but that doesn't mean the controls should be awful from the get-go. Because they are, in my opinion, very annoying at first. |
| Sep 2 20:07:00 | 1h 08m | Additive | Pretty good. I find the piano sounds a bit grating myself, but it's not too bad. Sometimes, it felt like I was solving the puzzles in a way different then I should've... I guess there are multiple solutions? Great for 48 hours, most puzzle games don't turn out this well. |
| Sep 3 03:27:00 | 7h 20m | Poggle Island | Incredible simulation of intelligent design and evolution as one... It shows a lot about how games can give us basic understanding of these concepts. For example, keeping a much smaller climate where your Poggles can survive increases control over breeding, much like a laboratory. Amazing.

From a casual gamer's point of view, it's pretty good, too! |
| Sep 3 20:11:00 | 16h 44m | Fall Of The Ark | I didn't get it at first... To me, the whole thing seemed very abrupt, but I played it again after reading the comments to try and pay more attention to the plot. It was better during this second playthrough. |
| Sep 3 20:29:00 | 18m 00s | Future Rabbit | Cross-stitch should definitely stay for the next game. Very memorable. At first, I forgot all about upgrades, and just let my science carrots sit there. Then, I read the instructions again and went "OH!" So I played it again, and it seemed like a much better game already.

By the way, I noticed one time that a turnip generated right on top of a carrot, occupying the same space. I figured you'd like to know about that glitch. |
| Sep 5 22:54:00 | 50h 25m | Sorry, i was late! | Fun. Reminds me of my game for the warmup. Never realized it fit evolution until now...

Also, if I were more of a stickler, I'd care you used graphics off google images, but I'm fine with a little rule-breaking. |
| Sep 5 23:24:00 | 30m 00s | Cytosine | Very nice. You want to know what would make this REALLY fun? If you sort of overhauled it a bit to make the main part of the game forcing the player to only allow worse traits to breed by corralling the enemies. It wouldn't be easy to apply to this game directly, but it be cool. |
| Sep 5 23:39:00 | 15m 00s | Lamarck's Theory of Evolution | Aiming is, in fact, hard. But this is a good game, even if it's a little slow. |
| Sep 6 21:24:00 | 21h 45m | Foodvolution | Like it, man! If it were longer, it would be excellent. I applaud that walking sprite, too, pretty neat looking. |
| Sep 7 22:07:00 | 24h 43m | Encarmine | Great, great job. I really don't like that so many people are being such sticklers on what Evolution games should be about. I mean, isn't it all up to interpretation with such a broad concept?

Anyway, loved the story. And I'm one of those guys who thinks if a single person calls something a game, it's a game. |
| Sep 11 21:31:00 | 95h 24m | Selectra | I didn't finish it either, but I like what you have going here. Pretty awesome game, great idea. |
| Sep 11 23:22:00 | 1h 51m | Legacy Bird | Do I love this game? YES! Very, very addicting. Wouldn't take much more work to become an epic release.

I got two bugs: One, the BIG weapon glitched, left me with a lance that faced only right until I loved climbing, getting the proper BIG upon the next stage's beginning. Two, same as Norgg, had to end my game there. |
| Sep 11 23:51:00 | 29m 00s | ExoSlime | Gosh, that boss is HARD! Can't beat it after a lot of trying. I really like the game though! Although the music sort of contrasted with the story a bit. |
| Sep 12 00:08:00 | 17m 00s | Praepoch | Wow. I really like this. Some of the graphics were definitely a bit rushed looking, but all in all, it fits the style we come to expect from Connor Ullmann. And I liked the surprise of there being a moral at the end rather than a cliche sinisterness.

P.S. I loved Seedling. It was awesome. |
| Sep 12 00:21:00 | 13m 00s | Adlus: Mouse Of Truth | That was... weird. Very weird. |
| Sep 12 00:33:00 | 12m 00s | LD24 X0ut | They say that, for an LD game, the most important part is the first impression, and you sir have blown me away with your game's beginning. That dramatic zoom out, the music beginning, those fateful words: "I open my eyes and see the path before me." Epic, and seriously makes me rethink my strategy on leaving stuff like intros for last. |
| Sep 12 23:42:00 | 23h 09m | Hunt'em! | Wow, beat it right away, congratulations on keeping the game mechanics so obvious and easy to master. (Or, for me at least.) It's refreshing from normal 3D game art, spheres and cubes in this competition, including Jam entries. |
| Sep 13 00:10:00 | 28m 00s | Evolution Stew | Haha, this is hilarious. I spent so long trying to get Cthulu out of the pit until I got it... Nice little puzzle there. Great job. |
| Sep 13 01:10:00 | 1h 00m | Beetlefield : The Forecast | What does it mean when your guys just start flashing yellow and run off the screen? Is that a glitch? Or intimidation-related?

Great game. One of the best, and fantastic art. I literally double checked to make sure this was in the 48. |
| Sep 14 00:22:00 | 23h 12m | Parental Guidance | I have no idea what just happened in that ending. But it was scary, so good job! |
| Sep 14 00:36:00 | 14m 00s | The Best Dinosaur | Pretty nice, man. Shows a good game doesn't have to be graphically fleshed out. Like it! |
| Sep 14 01:37:00 | 1h 01m | Evoland | Makers of evolving game buddies! Very awesome. VERY awesome. No complaints at all, and I liked how certain things showed some satirical commentary on how games have changed. (a.k.a health = super easy) |
| Sep 15 19:52:00 | 42h 15m | The Legend of Elzad | Pretty epic. It's got some pretty good level design in it. |
| Sep 15 20:05:00 | 13m 00s | Awareness | I don't think I'll rate this... It's far too obscure for me to understand much. |
| Sep 16 16:43:00 | 20h 38m | Tiny Evolution Adventure | I got the bug where I couldn't get past the second level. Oh well, not gonna try again.

My first comment is: Why on earth did you add the possibility to fall off the screen? Death is so contradictory to the design of this thing, it's just not right. I got a message saying it was time to evolve half a second prior to falling off. It's extremely aggravating. |
| Sep 16 17:47:00 | 1h 04m | Rise of the Morbels | Wow. This game is beautiful. The morbels felt so alive... and on that last level, I felt awful that I was about to kill them off. The one that asked me if I was God really made me stop and feel awful. These people looked to me as a creator, and I was killing them to reach my own ends.

At first, the ending sequence with all the "Oh, Crap"s was a slight of that, I thought, "Oh, no, he's just turned it into a cliche alien takeover story." But then, the last voiceover cleared it up. You're really good at voice actinf, by the way. |
| Sep 16 17:56:00 | 9m 00s | Rise of a Colony | For ten hours, I guess it's pretty decent. |
| Sep 16 18:00:00 | 4m 00s | cuboidAI | I get the same as Panzermancer... except it's black with the interface, not gray. Windowed mode doesn't help. Oh well. |
| Sep 16 20:58:00 | 2h 58m | Plan M | Not too shabby, guys, not too shabby. Although the ending sort of confused me. It felt really complete. Apart from music, of course. |
| Sep 16 21:26:00 | 28m 00s | Socket City | That ending song is the next big thing. |
| Sep 16 23:55:00 | 2h 29m | One Last Chance | That screenshot of the description of the magazine... Can you not do that in the unity version or something? I don't know.

Basically, I like what's here. It's a pretty cool concept, even if I don't get to see it on a tablet all augmenty-like. |
| Sep 17 00:22:00 | 27m 00s | Darwin Fitotherapy | Yeah... Definitely a bit confusing. I don't really understand what's happening either, but I stayed around for 170 seconds, it said. |
| Sep 17 14:35:00 | 14h 13m | Acts of August: Introspective | I'm going to be brutally honest with you. I have no idea what just happened.

The comic was just bizarre, and the short film was hard to understand. And the game, well, you know. Basically, the only thing I'm getting is that she's got some sort of mental problems or schizophrenia, but am I supposed to know the root of those problems somehow? Because I couldn't figure anything out. And I have no idea who the guy is either, but I'm guessing he's a figment of her twisted imagination or something.

Of course, when going with something so abstract as this, you run the risk of alienating a viewer or two. I guess I happen to be that viewer. Oh well, I suppose that's not your fault.

Well done on attempting something on such a grand scale. |
| Sep 17 17:19:00 | 2h 44m | Tiimmmeeee | Norris... *shakes fist into he air*

I had to use the walkthrough text to beat it, so I guess you can't use me as an example for "he beat it!" I also found it annoying to refresh after making the wrong zap. |
| Sep 17 17:29:00 | 10m 00s | Bored Bob | Awesome. Just awesome. I only got it after the first play like many others here, but then it rocked. It's different, and almost feels soothing. I personally enjoyed hugging the top of the screen and sending my minions up and down the play area.... Just awesome. |
| Sep 17 17:40:00 | 11m 00s | DrumBeat Evolution!!!! | Neat. Very neat. I can see myself actually using this in the future to make drumbeats. Sure, it's not much of a game, but it's one heck of a toy! |
| Sep 17 17:46:00 | 6m 00s | Volve | Pretty easy for me, too. A fun little time-killer.

Also, I noticed my health was at zero seconds before winning, you might want to check that out. You might have it die only when health is less than zero or something like that. |
| Sep 17 17:53:00 | 7m 00s | Flower o Doom | ^Same as everyone above. Couldn't add anything else. |
| Sep 17 18:27:00 | 34m 00s | .ISO - Part One | Ah, a fellow fourteenerperson! Pleased to meet your acquaintance.

Well, I can't for the life of me pass the buzzsaw level, because the guy is just too darn slow for me to reach this one platform. Even with dash. A word of advice: if you, as a developer, find you're always holding dash while playing and telling everyone "just use dash!", then you're probably better off making the normal speed the same as dash and cutting dash entirely. And the buzzsaws are really annoying, with their huge hitbox constantly knocking me back off that one platform. And the physics could use some work.

All in all, it's okay. Not very entertaining, but a good try.

P.S. I'll do your guilty conscience a favor and rate audio as a one, just to balance it out against the people who thought you made the audio yourself. Assuming you are guilty. Otherwise, TROOOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! |
| Sep 17 18:31:00 | 4m 00s | The Plurality | Won't run on me either. Something about the plurality.Main not existing. |
| Sep 17 19:17:00 | 46m 00s | Survival Of The Tastiest | The web version has a red bar emblazoned over it when I play: "Context3D error: Error #3685"

Nonetheless, I can still play it. I can't beat it, though, no matter how hard I try, but I see where you were going. Great job. |
| Sep 17 19:30:00 | 13m 00s | Bio Hierarchy | A dodge button that's actually helpful to the player? Wow. You've won me over. The guys everywhere remind me of Slenderman. Well played. |
| Sep 17 19:33:00 | 3m 00s | Micro2Mega | This is epic. |
| Sep 17 19:53:00 | 20m 00s | Combine And Conquer | Not bad, not bad. Pretty cool stuff, and although starting all over seems kinda harsh, I can't think of any alternatives. Funny stuff, man. Funny stuff. |
| Sep 17 22:05:00 | 2h 12m | alteration | Not bad for your first game. I can tell it's kinda based on the gridlocked player tutorial. It does feel pretty polished, nice job on keeping it simple. |
| Sep 17 22:16:00 | 11m 00s | Bug Hunter Evolved | This is insane. Awesome work, not too polished, but it's still awesome. |
| Sep 17 22:27:00 | 11m 00s | The Plane of Evolution | It's okay, I guess. Not terrible. Just hard.

P.S. Did you know you can't shoot up when hugging the bottom wall? Annoying bug. |
| Sep 17 22:43:00 | 16m 00s | DashDashDASH | Way, way too uncasual for me. But I applaud how much work you got finished.

Also, I personally found it beneficial to shoot all the enemies in sight before leaving the starting gate. Not sure you would have wanted the player to do that. =) |
| Sep 17 22:54:00 | 11m 00s | Simplex Evolution Tabulae Ludus | Very, very polished. Amazing. Love it. |
| Sep 17 23:00:00 | 6m 00s | Move forward | Wow. Really good graphics for 3D made in the time allotted. |
| Sep 17 23:21:00 | 21m 00s | Complexitivity | Pretty cool. I normally agree that first person platforming is awful, but you've pulled it off rather nicely. Well done. |
| Sep 17 23:32:00 | 11m 00s | Lost Soul | I'm really unsure how to begin this one. I'm guessing I get the same issue with the background as described above. Can't figure it out myself. |
| Sep 17 23:37:00 | 5m 00s | ROCK EM SOCK EM DARWINS | I beat the little monkey... Although I don't know how I did it. |
| Sep 17 23:46:00 | 9m 00s | darwin_award | When I click the .bat, all I get is the CMD popping up before disappearing in a blink. I assume I lack some dependency. |
| Sep 18 00:30:00 | 44m 00s | Super Darwin | No saving. Hardcore, man. Well, I'm sure I've seen enough to rate this, other than the ending. Nice art. |
| Sep 18 00:55:00 | 25m 00s | Mutate Now! | Haha, awesomely cartoony. Nice. |
| Sep 26 00:06:00 | 191h 11m | Panspermia | Apart from the omnipotent red lines that create impassible barriers of death and destruction in the very fabric of space time, you've got yourself some pretty durable sheep! |
