When you click the download link, it will open it up on Google Docs. Just go to the file menu there, and hit Download to download the Windows Zip. The Love file link just goes to a page that has a big download button :P

I'm having a heck of a time downloading this. Could you stick it on Dropbox or something and update your description with the link?

jprogman 2012-08-27 06:14

Boo, logging in to google to download?? Oh well, it was worth it. Very fun game, and -- like my favorite food -- I really wanted more! Good work.

gfm 2012-08-27 22:47

Interesting concept! =D

It would have been great if you had been able to make some more stages...

cobrajs 2012-08-28 01:47

Thanks for the comments! I changed to Dropbox, so now more needing to login to Google to download.

josefnpat 2012-08-29 02:35

It's a shame you only had one stage!

cipher 2012-08-29 03:04

Very nice idea. Keep working on it!

patrickgh3 2012-08-29 06:01

Cool concept! It's actually very similar to the one in my game. The difference is that in my game, collecting items upgrades certain stats, and you can only do it 7 times in the level. But in your game, collecting items upgrades certain stats and also downgrades others. Pretty cool concept!

quasist 2012-08-29 21:01

Since installing love in linux was not an option - I wined the windows version (worked fine, slow loading time)

This game must not be about food consumption! You should add crapping and shitting as game elements!!! Like you need to shit a pile to jump over obstacle!!!11

yngar 2012-08-29 23:10

I like the mechanic and the engine seems good. I think its worth putting more levels into. I would definitely play through if you do! Good job!

phocker 2012-08-29 23:12

Could not jump over the spikes in the level. Got frustrated, sorry.

topherflorence 2012-08-30 01:50

The spikes were a little too difficult but I did make it to the end. Expanding this to where you had different food choices that affected the paths you could take would be a neat idea.

cobrajs 2012-08-30 02:33

I think I'll go ahead and try to add a few more levels and polish, and release a post version. I had a few extra ideas for it, so I'll see how it goes.

The spikes aren't that hard! You just gotta time the jump just right. Maybe a bit much for the tutorial level, though :P

The mood is oka, but because there's no music, it doesn't help. The graphics of the game are really nice, I liked them.
On your place I would add some sound effects, and the background music, and I would also expand the screen a bit.

cracky 2012-08-31 01:54

This seems like it's going places. Needs more levels!

mdkess 2012-08-31 01:54

Nice! Needs more content, but the idea is fun - I could see you making some interesting puzzles out of this. Great work!

kayelgee 2012-08-31 10:07

The concept is interesting I would like to see a real level and what choices I could make.

endermath 2012-09-01 02:12

cool idea! It just needs a few more levels! :)

Jeremias 2012-09-01 20:49

Nice idea, but too short :(
The way you introduce the game mechanics while playing is well done. I had no problems with the tile collision, by the way.

mohammad 2012-09-03 15:21

good game.
shame it was so short.
now, if you excuse me, im going to eat chicken and win a race, then eat carrots and jump up to my apartment, then eat cake and jump on my stupid brother.

puzzlem00n 2012-09-06 21:24

Like it, man! If it were longer, it would be excellent. I applaud that walking sprite, too, pretty neat looking.

cobrajs 2012-09-07 02:33

You know what the funniest part is? That was actually my testing sprite... I had plans to replace it once I got the mechanics worked out, but I ran out of time so I just shaded it a bit, then based the character on the title screen to match that sprite, so it fit a bit better :D

I finally got the tile collision worked out so that it is now perfect, and I added some rendering optimizations, so I'm going to start adding in a few more levels then I'll release a post-comp version.
