Aug 27 00:36:00 Sprout Wow! Super cool game. The first fun one I've played!
Aug 27 02:33:00 1h 57m Move the Cheese Wow, super fun. Really love the art style.
Aug 27 02:42:00 9m 00s Mutating Scales Really love the way "selection" worked with the dragons. I was surprised how interesting this was, since the screens didn't look promising...Awesome game!
Aug 27 02:47:00 5m 00s Super Evolver Boy: Turbo SD Interesting concept. "Devolve Mode" was really satisfying haha. The only issue was the platforming getting caught quite a bit. I got hung on edges a lot, but little problems like that are to be expected in a 48 hour game. Awesome work!
Aug 27 02:50:00 3m 00s Firefly Also crashed after black screen with Win 7 64 bit. The screens and concept look really cool, too!
Aug 27 03:01:00 11m 00s Biovolve I really enjoyed the sound, and the visuals were decent, although they were simple. The only complaint is that when I did die, it felt like it was due to the controls and physics not being super tight. That may just be my monkey hands though. Great job!
Aug 27 03:09:00 8m 00s Boxy the Boxcat in Evolution Escapades Played through to the end, but I only say like 7 cats. That's like 993 short of the theme, bro.

Seriously, though, super impressive. Music was oddly fitting of my cat blowing up cars wit lasers. Also, my cat had laser eyes. Awesome work. Definitely the best I've played so far.

If I was going to complain about something, it would probably be the feel of the controls. Both jumping and walking were a little funny feeling, but that's definitely nit-picking. Also, I think I already mentioned, but not nearly enough cats.
Aug 27 03:14:00 5m 00s Germ Super Spy I couldn't figure out the first level. I walked into people for a few minutes, but couldn't figure out how to absorb someone else. Didn't leave any ratings, just in case it was just me not paying attention well enough
Aug 27 03:19:00 5m 00s Hot Damn that's a Lot of Blobs! Pretty cool game, especially in 7-8 hours. As you mentioned, very easy to dig underneath, so I liked that you taunt the player for winning that way. Really encourages creativity.
Aug 27 03:24:00 5m 00s Rovolution Really liked the way it felt. Level design was also pretty good. The only thing that felt odd was combat. It seemed like the only way to win was buy getting in front of the blaster, taking fire, and hoping you didn't take too much damage. Other than, really fun game! One of my favorites so far.
Aug 27 03:29:00 5m 00s Bots Vs Fleshbags Looks like it just needed some more time. Not really much depth in anything, but that's not really the point of all this. Keep going!
Aug 27 03:36:00 7m 00s Tad's Adventure Really fun! I suck at it, though, lol. Asking the player to choose skills to drop makes for interesting gameplay. Great job!
Aug 27 03:42:00 6m 00s Goo Simple, but still satisfying. One thing that might make it a little more interesting would be some variance in the terrain, or maybe more of a projectile on the goo cannon. Still a fun game though.

Also, there's probably a little too much reading to begin the game. I read the first few pages, but it's probably unlikely that most people will read at all.
Aug 27 03:50:00 8m 00s Buffalo Joe Pretty interesting game. I like the concept, but it seems like you needed a little more time to flesh it out some more. The intro voice over is super awesome
Aug 27 03:54:00 4m 00s Megavolve Didn't make it to the gun evolving. Yet another game I suck at...
Aug 27 04:00:00 6m 00s Paradigm Shift Wow, a real story. Awesome job. I actually liked the art style, and the controls actually felt decent compared to many of the platformers in the competition, although you mentioned you aren't an artist or programmer.
Aug 27 04:03:00 3m 00s R/evolution Fun game, but around level 4-5, i started having noticable slowdown, until it eventually was unplayable. Not sure if it's an issue with my computer or the game, but I was running the direct link on Win7 and Firefox.
Aug 27 04:07:00 4m 00s Cat Evolution! I'm not totally sure what's going on, but I really like it. I love the concept, I'm just not sure what everything means. Cats are a plus.
Aug 27 04:09:00 2m 00s Candy Hill Loved the nyancat shooting through. You did an awesome job with the art and feel of the game, just needs some more time to clean up gameplay and bugs.
Aug 27 04:14:00 5m 00s Class Warfare I enjoyed the game, and the invisibility is central to the game, as well as symbolic, I agree that it makes it a little frustrating at first. I'm not sure I see the tie to evolution?
Aug 27 04:23:00 9m 00s Triple Threat Really liked the methodical pace. It's almost like a puzzle/shmup.
Aug 27 04:35:00 12m 00s Virion I agree with Griz. The physics were great! I actually had more trouble with early levels than later, since the chase AI was pretty easy to outsmart. I also really liked the way the virus spun when I moved...I'm not sure why...One of only a few games I've played thus far that kept my interest til the end. Awesome job!
Aug 27 04:39:00 4m 00s Slime Fighter Really love the art style. Wish there was a little more variation in the attacks, but overall a really fun game.
Aug 27 04:47:00 8m 00s Defense Of The Space Station Guardian Agree with some of the other posters, there are definitely some bugs in the upgrades.Thought it was a really cool concept, but i was able to get a helper spawning every frame within a minute or two. It might be a good idea to set some boundaries on the upgrades, as well as fixing the bugs. Really love the idea and look though!
Aug 27 20:32:00 15h 45m Badass Great job. Lot's of fun. It's not super complex, but you found the identity of the game and made it central.
Aug 27 20:39:00 7m 00s The life of Cat Pretty interesting. I really liked the idea of making the cat change speeds in different phases of life. It was frustrating for me when my cat got old, and could barely move, but I think the fact that it frustrated me is positive.
Aug 28 21:48:00 25h 09m Kudzundheit Really great. There are no big flaws, although I wish there were more options for upgrades. That's super nitpicky though, especially for a 72 hours game. Really awesome work!
Aug 28 21:53:00 5m 00s Harvest Doom This is a sweet concept, but the game feels a little incomplete(pretty common in a game jam). It takes a little longer than it probably should to get a grasp on what's going on, and how to win. As you mentioned, it's more of a sandbox at this point. I hope you make a post-compo version, as this game has more potential than almost any I've seen.
Aug 28 21:56:00 3m 00s Death Cell Really cool game. I know it's just the game of life based graphics, but I really enjoyed the look and feel of it.
Aug 28 22:19:00 23m 00s Space Mayham I thought the game was actually pretty fun, although as others have said, it was very straining on the eyes. Perhaps it was too easy? I just held down both mouse buttons and kept the enemies off screen and went on pretty much indefinitely. Pehaps I'm missing something, but I don't really see much evolution. Sorry if that's a lot of critiques and no encouragements, it did hold my attention for a bit.
Aug 28 22:24:00 5m 00s Obsolete Upgrade Seems fun, but I was turned off early on by how difficult the toasters were. Since they move at the same speed as you, it makes it very difficult to jump over them safely. Very funny, and a good concept.
Aug 29 01:31:00 3h 07m Soul Jar Not sure why, but I get a small white window, and it gets stuck before it starts every time.
Aug 29 01:47:00 16m 00s NICE SHOOT I really enjoyed the concept, look, and feel. The music was also good, but the sound effects hurt my face. Not only were they repetitive, they were way louder than the music. Other than that, I really enjoyed the game, top 5-10 I've played so far.
Aug 29 01:54:00 7m 00s LimiT Awesome job. The game may have been a little easy (you can stand next to the spawn until moving to the next "level"), but I really enjoyed it. As others have said, the ending was great and the graphics were beautiful. Great work!
Aug 29 01:56:00 2m 00s Geomancy The UI was a bit confusing. You only had 48 hours, but you can't typically expect people to do that much reading. More feedback within the game would go a long way
Aug 29 02:00:00 4m 00s Volver It was simple, but I enjoyed the look and feel of the game. I liked that no explanation was needed to play, you press z to play, immediately see that it shoots, and you already know how to play. That seems insignificant, but after playing a lot entries with several page long tutorials, you start to see that that is an underrated quality.
Aug 29 02:05:00 5m 00s Constructilution I really liked the idea and look, but I had a hard time figuring out exactly what I was supposed to be doing. The physics seemed to turn on and off at times as well (a stick would stand straight up, even if I hit it with something else.)
Aug 29 02:07:00 2m 00s Gobbulator Great pick up and play appeal. I'm loving the games that need no instructions more and more.
Aug 29 02:19:00 12m 00s Involucion It's confusing, but still appealing in it own way. I placed all my stuff, then watched for a few minutes before closing it.
Aug 29 02:23:00 4m 00s Survival of the Leggiest I really liked the idea, but I couldn't quite figure it out. I was switching between modes and trying different things, but it didnt seem to have much effect. Either way, I really liked the idea. The goal was very clear, and the "story" and art were pretty neat, too.
Aug 30 18:25:00 40h 02m Angry Fish Decent game, I expected to see hundreds of variations of this game when the theme was announced, but this was the first. As many have said, getting bigger doesn't seem to be advantageous, since theres no way to get big enough for it to matter.
Aug 30 18:34:00 9m 00s EvoProbe I love the idea and the story, but the game got a little repetitive for me. As others have mentioned, it was very frustrating to get a second level tile when you already know the pattern for winning.
Aug 30 18:57:00 23m 00s Robo Rancher Wow! I really loved this one. I really loved what you did here. The UI setup is pretty brilliant (except maybe the placement of the scrap button, but that's a minor issue). Overall, one of my favorites! I'd love to see you take this one a few weeks further at least.
Aug 30 19:00:00 3m 00s Dracolution I like the concept. The mouse controls were very frustrating, especially when you're expected to avoid projectiles
Aug 30 19:28:00 28m 00s Darwin's Turtle Race Challenge Really loved the concept (Almost the same as mine, lol) but your execution was much much better. I love the humor of using turtles and the simple menus
Aug 31 01:20:00 5h 52m Improv Completely random.
Aug 31 01:28:00 8m 00s Evowing I enjoyed it, and thought it was decently fun. The biggest problem I kept having was lining up shots. It might have been useful to separate firing and movement (maybe something like Binding of Isaac or Realm of the Mad God. Other than that, it held my attention for a while, and I really enjoyed the music.
Aug 31 19:34:00 18h 06m Young Earth Road Trip That was great! I think I accidentally clicked during the finale, because it brought up the save game screen. I saved, but couldn't figure out how to reload or go back out of the screen, so I think I missed the best parts everyone is talking about in the comments. Is there any way to load?
Aug 31 19:41:00 7m 00s Evolve @adventureloop, it should be very clear that you've finished. I can't put why, because it would be a spoiler. I enjoyed the game, although more sound would have been nice.
Aug 31 19:48:00 7m 00s Evu for life I enjoyed the game, but I wish the collision detection was a little more natural. It was weird getting use to dying from spikes from below, and it also made it difficult to not go back and forth in pipes at times
Aug 31 19:51:00 3m 00s Slime LifeTime I enjoyed the game, just a few criticisms. For one, the sprites are a little small and difficult to see, especially with all of the unused screen above them. Also, pressing space bar repeatedly can be very annoying, perhaps being able to hold it down and just having a cooldown timer on it would have done the trick?
Aug 31 22:06:00 2h 15m Bomb the Bunnies Super fun, but maybe too difficult? I don't think I fully understand what the mutation mechanic is either? Either way, I really enjoyed it.
Aug 31 22:19:00 13m 00s Beetlefield : The Forecast New Favorite! This game held my attention for the last half hour! The unpredictability makes it interesting to watch, and the hope of seeing hyper-evolved teams fight is a great incentive to keep trying. Great Work!!!!!!
Aug 31 22:26:00 7m 00s Magistrate I loved the idea, and it's a pretty ambitious title for ten hours (at least at my skill level). The only issue I had with playing was being able to build behind things. For instance, I planned to build walls before building fields inside, but it wouldn't let me place buildings behind one another. Also, was the theme considered at all?
Aug 31 22:44:00 18m 00s Advancer Played it all the way through and really enjoyed it. Wish the attack radius was a notch longer, it was nearly impossible at times to hit enemies with out taking damage. The checkpoint system really alleviated these problems though. Great Work!
Aug 31 22:48:00 4m 00s Maple Really liked the idea, not sure I see the connection to evolution (but as the idea is incomplete, that's to be expected). Seemed like it was going in the Captain Forever direction, which is never bad.
Aug 31 23:10:00 22m 00s Artificial Selection I like the idea, and the enemies seem very well balanced, but the UI and complicated controls, which are listed at the bottom of the screen (the average player won't read), can create a headache trying to figure out how to play. I read the controls, but still found myself getting attacked while scrolling down to figure out how to do something.
Aug 31 23:14:00 4m 00s Unnatural Selection I wonder if there's a better way to teach the player how to play. The on screen instructions are better than off, but there's still a lot of reading to do, especially when I'm supposed to do it as I play in a font that is a little tough to read quickly.
Sep 1 00:34:00 1h 20m The Fromagist I enjoyed the game (and I typically am not into text adventures!). Very funny, and I love that you put all the endings on the last page, even though that probably wouldn't be good practice in a normal game. Not sure I see the "Evolution" connection, though.
Sep 1 00:40:00 6m 00s Fit to Fight I'm assuming this is supposed to be multiplayer? I wandered around for 4-5 minutes without finding anyone. I liked the environment, but that's really all I can comment on. Also, not sure of the validity, either, seems gray.
Sep 1 00:42:00 2m 00s Swarm or Die Pretty and like the sound, but its a shame that there's not any gameplay.
Sep 1 02:50:00 2h 08m Planetary Overseer I played with it for 5 minutes or so, but couldn't quite figure out what I was supposed to be doing. I clicked the buttons at the bottom a lot, but I was never sure if they were affecting anything, or how. That said, it was surprisingly fun to watch, despite not having top notch graphics. I'm sure if I could figure out what I'm doing, this would be a lot more fun. Loved the music, btw.
Sep 2 01:31:00 22h 41m Unnatural Selection Really like the concept, sounds, and mood. However, the difficulty curve is way too steep (mostly caused by imperfect physics, collisions, and stuff. Overall, great work.
Sep 2 01:35:00 4m 00s Manual Selection I think I was a little lost. I created a large mass of ants, but I wasn't sure what to do from there.
Sep 2 01:39:00 4m 00s Ivan the Infection Really liked this one. Liked the art style, and the general feel of being totally overwhelmed was great. The effect of the bacteria dying kept me wanting come back.
Sep 2 01:43:00 4m 00s Infestation Pretty neat little game. The only complaint is how quickly the difficulty spiked. Within a minute, I was totally overwhelmed, and was too slow-moving/slow-shooting to do anything. It quickly devolve to running away and launching the big fireball things to the enemies off screen. A faster pace might do wonders.
Sep 2 01:54:00 11m 00s Unstealthiest Ninja Made it to the 4th lvl before giving up. I suck at puzzle games...but I really enjoyed this one. It was sort of spooky how long the music went on after I was done. Good work!
Sep 2 02:00:00 6m 00s Cosmic Canvas I enjoyed it once I figured out what was going on, but I was on the verge of giving up before I stumbled on it. Beyond that, it was a simple and fun game, with the only complaints being finicky grabbing.
Sep 2 19:38:00 17h 38m Terra Tam: The World Warrior This game is awesome!
Sep 2 19:49:00 11m 00s Evoland Really loved this one. The slow introduction of new mechanics actually makes for great game design, too!
Sep 2 19:54:00 5m 00s How evolution really works? Really awesome. Very funny for a game about a species of squares.
Sep 2 20:00:00 6m 00s Adlus: Mouse Of Truth I like it. The beginning loading screen was hilarious too.
Sep 2 20:07:00 7m 00s Legacy Bird I liked the game, the concept, and really liked the prompts, wierdly. The only issue I had was some odd collision detection. Sometimes, if I was too fast, I could stab an enemy, and then run through them to my death. Maybe making the enemy get knocked back more when hit would be a good idea?
Sep 2 20:12:00 5m 00s Hunt'em! Really love the art style and music. The game is decently fun as well. The only issue I had was that once or twice, the next wave would spawn basically on top of me when goin out of hunt'em mode. Solid entry,
Sep 3 18:26:00 22h 14m Peanuts! Really great idea, but as others have said, I ran of the edge of the first level. Not sure I see a tie to evolution, and maybe it's just me, but the game I played looks nothing like the screenshots.
Sep 3 19:12:00 46m 00s Plan M I normally am not a fan of adventure games, but this was hilarious. Great work guys!
Sep 3 19:26:00 14m 00s Small Worm Very smooth, clean game. Not sure why I didn't think of it, but snake is the classic evolution game!
Sep 3 20:43:00 1h 17m kinetic dream Really atmospheric and fun. Liked the visual and sound direction
Sep 4 00:02:00 3h 19m Place of Origin The connection to the theme might have been a bit of a stretch, but I really enjoyed the atmosphere and sound. It's short, and maybe a little easy, but I really enjoyed it.
Sep 7 05:25:00 77h 23m GeomeTree Very cool and calming. Not really an active type game, really sort of mindless, but in a good way.
Sep 7 05:30:00 5m 00s Cave Creature I wish there was more meat to the combat, especially since healing wasn't very obvious. Maybe some longer short range attacks, something like Realm of the Mad God, could give you some more involving combat mechanics. Even just separating attack direction and movement direction into to two different control sets would help a ton. Other than that, I really enjoyed it. I really loved how big the world felt, and taking the time to build a mini map feature is really cool too.
Sep 7 05:33:00 3m 00s Psee's Food Quest Cool ideam but it just didn't feel right at all. A little more time to make controls and physics feel natural would help a ton.
Sep 7 05:51:00 18m 00s Invaders: Evolution Hahaha, love the story!
Sep 7 19:37:00 13h 46m Title Goes Here... It was actually pretty fun to play, just a few suggestions. I wish there was more feedback for things like shooting zombies, zombies getting knoecked back, etc. Also, I wish it took fewer than three waves to have enough money to buy any upgrades. Getting the player involved in that earlier would make it much more engaging
Sep 8 17:10:00 21h 33m Deep Sea Fish Loves You Forever Great music. Great concept. Not sure about the evolution tie-in? Also, you're the clownfish, jerk. Good work!
Sep 8 17:16:00 6m 00s Neural Nodes Maybe I was doing it wrong, but after I took the first three nodes, it wouldn't let me take anymore?
Sep 8 17:48:00 32m 00s Lucas's Quest Backwards Loved the story, and the platforming wasn't bad either. I don't use all caps often, but THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING CHECKPOINTS. It seems like a luxury feature when your working over a weekend, but there's no way I would have played to completion without them. Great job!
