| Dec 20 19:36:00 | Grand Mystic Quest of Discovery | You've already got my feedback D: <br/> <br/>Anyway I liked it. | |
| Dec 20 20:45:00 | 1h 09m | :ORE: | This was much harder than it first appeared, proper planning was needed in most levels. It was fun for a while. I liked the manual. |
| Dec 20 21:28:00 | 43m 00s | Deep sea discovey | Sort of fun in a relaxing way. The enemies had really large collision bound. <br/> <br/>First time I tried to start it it locked up. Closing it left the process running in the background (this also happened when it had not locked up). <br/> <br/>Music wasn't made by you within the compo? |
| Dec 20 21:36:00 | 8m 00s | Retirement of the Space Shuttle Discovery | I have flown into hundreds of satellites and the moon, does that make me a winner? I believe it does! \o/ <br/> <br/>Probably needs a little work to really function as a game (like you say, a win condition). |
| Dec 20 21:50:00 | 14m 00s | Dry Voices: who are you? | I like. Also music really fits the game. <br/> <br/>Did you actually need the key? Used it on a door that seemed to lead nowhere, then when the other way and got out of the cave. |
| Dec 20 22:05:00 | 15m 00s | City State: Inspired Destiny | I've been wiped out by barbarians, by regular war, and global atomic war. I'm good at this! <br/> <br/>I like it. Sort of like a subset of Civ. I had a similar idea that I didn't pursue because I didn't know how to enter any conflict into it, but I think you succeeded. |
| Dec 21 18:52:00 | 20h 47m | Introspect | Movement felt a bit sluggish, didn't quite match the idea I got of the creature in the intro screen. Content wise pretty solid game. |
| Dec 21 18:55:00 | 3m 00s | Cardiac Arrest | Very ambitious to make a game for Sega Master System. Makes it more bothersome to play though. I'll try to revisit it later. |
| Dec 21 19:11:00 | 16m 00s | Q-Bers | Pushing space jumps directly to the credits. Happened when I tried to figure out what to do (didn't at first realize you had to click a block to rotate it). <br/> <br/>Two last screens were challenging! I had fun. Next step is adding moving blocks around, then it'll be almost impossible under time pressure. |
| Dec 21 19:45:00 | 34m 00s | COMPLICATED VIEW | This is a pretty cool idea. <br/> <br/>I kept ending up outside a solid wall after going through a few exits (I think). What did the enemies do? The they do that? |
| Dec 21 19:54:00 | 9m 00s | The Detectorizer | Poor PC: "Why are you chasing me? I have this shovel! I could hit you with it! Stop chasing me! Oh god, why? I haven't done you anything!" <br/> <br/>It's a tough life, metal detectoring. |
| Dec 22 16:15:00 | 20h 21m | Researching String Theory | Level 16, score 3086. Apparently I'm Einstein \o/ <br/> <br/>Not so fun to play with a lousy mouse, but that's all my complaints. |
| Dec 22 16:30:00 | 15m 00s | Hey, Person! | Interesting piece of storytelling. I investigated all the stories, I think. |
| Dec 22 16:45:00 | 15m 00s | Scanno Domini | Congrats on your first finished game! <br/> <br/>A score counter or something would be nice. |
| Dec 22 16:52:00 | 7m 00s | Eureka! | Feels like some sort of traveling salesman PacMan. |
| Dec 22 16:54:00 | 2m 00s | Anacalypse | Sadly crashes on startup without any helpful information. Might recheck it later on another computer. |
| Dec 23 20:49:00 | 27h 55m | Sprawl | When playing, it does not feel like I'm working towards a goal. Otherwise it's a good start. |
| Dec 23 20:58:00 | 9m 00s | Discover19 | I think this could be good, but I felt it started out at a much too slow pace. |
| Dec 23 21:16:00 | 18m 00s | Husk | This is a pretty cool game. I don't see the point of 'the keeping the robot thing powered' part, it felt more like a distraction. When the game opened up a bit, I easily got lost. |
| Dec 23 21:21:00 | 5m 00s | Juxtapose | In Opera, the keys did not just move the selection/activate, they also scrolled the browser window, which was a bit annoying. <br/> <br/>Interesting idea. |
| Dec 23 21:29:00 | 8m 00s | You must discover yourself. | Kind of tricky. Also, I don't think I manage to figure out how to win. I visited all of the ? and so. Pretty neat, otherwise. |
| Dec 25 18:29:00 | 45h 00m | Zoobedoo | Played through it all. Seemed a bit overwhelming and tricky at first, but eventually I realized that *SPOILER* just building diagonals of all the animals */SPOILER* was usually enough (though not when trying for the fewest clicks). Having more kind of rules and not always having access to all the animals might solve that. |
| Dec 25 18:47:00 | 18m 00s | DirectionsTranscend | Too hard for me as well. Played it a fair bit though, it's a pretty good game if you have the patience for it. |
| Dec 25 19:01:00 | 14m 00s | Hat Quest | Will try it later on a computer I have XNA on. |
| Dec 27 15:49:00 | 44h 48m | Observatory | Will try later on a computer I already have Unity on. |
| Dec 27 16:28:00 | 39m 00s | Voyage of Discovery | I was really looking forwards to playing this one, but sadly there's usability problems (and maybe bugs). The screen is very small, there's a lot of buttons to remember, and if you use some actions it seems you can get stuck (example: C -> select direction, but no direction is valid, or same with A). A good effort nevertheless. Suits the theme, among other things. |
| Dec 27 18:43:00 | 2h 15m | Universal Conquest | This is the game I've played the longest so far, which is both good and bad. It was really fun until it was just a lot of grind. I never completed it (don't entirely know what how to win, but I assume it was finding an alien base or something). Lots of comments: <br/>- At the start, I didn't figure out what to do. Once I realized what the Zinc counter was, things looked up. <br/>- The oxygen thing was sort of unnecessary, and I felt that there should have been some out leave to orbit when it was low, if it are to be kept at all. <br/>- The first vehicle ran at double speed if you held both Up and Down. The speed was practical but the key combination was not. I suspect it was a bug. <br/>- The game at times sort of reminded me of parts of mass effect and x-com. <br/>- I didn't like that you had to switch between keyboard and mouse, some kind of keyboard control outside the planet mode would have helped. <br/>- Would have been good to see the total value of collected materials and/or be given a notice when you can buy something new at the store. <br/>- As mentioned, at some point, it was just too much grind. <br/>- The combat, when it suddenly appeared, could use heavy improvements. |
| Dec 27 20:15:00 | 1h 32m | Planet Discover | Will try later on a computer I have XNA on. |
| Dec 29 13:01:00 | 40h 46m | Floorplan | Sorry, no Linux. Perhaps I can compile it for Windows when I get home from the holidays. |
| Dec 29 13:37:00 | 36m 00s | Roguesweeper | I played this quite some time and I really like the idea. Some comments: <br/>- The font isn't very easy to read, especially when it's blue. <br/>- I would have preferred to see a larger part of the world, either with a larger screen or smaller pixels. <br/>- The screen shake was too much. <br/>- It seems you could only carry one scroll? Would have preferred to be able to toggle scrolls. <br/>- After a while, it's a very long way to the shop. <br/>- You can't hold an arrow key to keep on moving, this became pretty uncomfortable for my fingers when walking far. <br/>- It's annoying to only be able to carry one treasure at a time, especially in conjunction with the problems just mentioned above. |
| Dec 29 13:43:00 | 6m 00s | Discovery - Researching Space | I like randomly generated enemies. The game could use improvements, but it's an OK 48h game. |
| Dec 29 13:45:00 | 2m 00s | Disc Over Y | I just had a black window which didn't respond to Esc and that had Close disabled. |
| Dec 29 14:34:00 | 49m 00s | Discover - Collect - Profit | After downloading the missing dll it runs. Hard to rate since it's note entirely a game yet. |
| Dec 29 14:42:00 | 8m 00s | Discovery Shuttle Defender | Java should be available in the path, so just writing 'java Discovery' should work, or so it does here -- maybe helpful for those that can't get it to run. <br/> <br/>The shuttle moves a bit slowly. <br/> <br/>If you hold down space, you keep spamming missiles until you press another key, creating a whole barricade of them. |
| Dec 29 14:50:00 | 8m 00s | Land Rover Discovery Challenge | Some sliding and stuff would have been nice, and an ending. Otherwise it's pretty good. |
| Jan 3 20:19:00 | 125h 29m | 10 Minute Galaxy | That's a very yellow background. <br/> <br/>Seems to work fine in Opera, except that the browser crashed when I closed the tab which was weird and maybe unrelated. Very CPU intensive. <br/> <br/>Actually a pretty fun game, it took me 103 turns on the first try. |
| Jan 3 22:41:00 | 2h 22m | Eureka! Vaults of Knowledge | Pretty good game. In tight spots however, I tended to hit Esc instead of Backspace. Would be good if Esc just paused or something, not abandoned the game. Also, one time it began the wrong word when there were two words starting with the same letters. Not sure that's actually wrong, but it confused me at the time. Also, the medicine words appeared in two stages? |
| Jan 4 08:17:00 | 9h 36m | The Secret Documents | Great game! |
| Jan 4 10:39:00 | 2h 22m | Run | File not found :( <br/> <br/>You should re-upload it somewhere and edit the link. |
| Jan 4 10:52:00 | 13m 00s | Deep Space | Pretty good game. I've never liked asteroid like controls, but this one works better than most. The end menu could have had more obvious choices (never got to try rampage mode). Played with the balance patch, I think it had a good difficulty level. |
| Jan 4 10:58:00 | 6m 00s | BedBug | Quick and fun game, but could use some polish. |
| Jan 4 11:07:00 | 9m 00s | Batcave | Really cool game. It's a bit tricky to keep track of both sonar and up/down speed at the same time, but perhaps that's the game. I think it would have been easier if you always had had a notion of your up/down speed, even when it was pitch black. |
| Jan 4 11:31:00 | 24m 00s | Quick | Running Quick.application didn't work at first. Running setup.exe worked, only it seemed to auto-launch Quick.application once afterwards and that didn't work. Then when manually running Quick.application after setup.exe, it worked. Perhaps I just confused things. <br/> <br/>I played on until I disabled the cheesebounciness. Couldn't get anywhere after that. Was an OK game. |
| Jan 4 13:16:00 | 1h 45m | UNSS Pasteur - Search for a Cure | It feels like there's no element of skill to the game, just luck and persistence. Was sort of interesting otherwise, but feels like slog. |
| Jan 5 23:28:00 | 34h 12m | Planet Thing | I had a shader error on startup (on ATI card), relevant log lines: <br/>" <br/>info: loadShader shaders.Treeland ... <br/>info: Loglength 61 >0 true <br/>error: Error compiling shader: <br/>'Vertex shader was successfully compiled to run on hardware.' <br/>info: compile fragment shader <br/>info: Loglength 236 >0 true <br/>error: Error compiling shader: <br/>'Fragment shader failed to compile with the following errors: <br/>ERROR: 0:24: error(#160) Cannot convert from '4-component vector of float' to 'highp 3-component vector of float' <br/>ERROR: error(#273) 1 compilation errors. No code generated' <br/>warn: Compile status is bad <br/>info: ... bind attrs <br/>" |
| Jan 11 10:18:00 | 130h 50m | Beacon | Great game. |
