LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

HamsterX by UntitledQ 2015-12-15T03:54:00

The physics feel pretty good and I really like the low poly graphics. Although it's pretty easy to mess up your hamsters set up and waiting for your inevitable failure is rough.

Tower to the Stars by ianh 2015-12-14T23:47:00

Well I really like the graphics and color scheme. Wish there could have been some audio!

Gardening Rabbit by lurils 2015-12-15T04:27:00

Fantastic atmosphere you've captured in this entry, down to graphics, mechanics, and even sound. The audio may be the weakest point though, some sound effects sound really fatiguing. I get the aesthetic you were going for but maybe get an equalizer on some of those sounds, specially the one that plays when you complete watering the plant.

Growy the Flowy by Optimus6128 2015-12-14T23:06:00

I really like the visual of the planet growing. This could be a really relaxing and fun game with the proper music and polish.

Switcher by coywolf 2015-12-17T04:07:00

I like the idea but really wish the controls was the mouse instead of the keyboard. Doesn't feel very intuitive.

Trash Refresh by shatty 2015-12-15T20:44:00

The art I think is pretty unique. I like the concept but surely the rotating animation could trigger some motion sickness lol.

Voidbound by disdanes 2015-12-15T05:01:00

Super great graphics and aesthetics. I'd definitely play a mobile port. The dialogue is cute and the game plays well.

Tree Life by Tooichi 2015-12-15T20:37:00

Super atmospheric, although a bit too linear for my tastes.

WALKER by piper82 2015-12-15T04:12:00

Solid entry. The graphics are minimal but doesn't appear seem to be out of any skill. I concur with the previous comments about the walking speed, it's painfully slow and disappointing when some interactions (like the dog) aren't very satisfying therefore they don't really award you for the slow movement speed.

Major Tom by OberynMartell 2015-12-15T04:55:00

Well the graphics are definitely a 5/5 - so is the mood and aesthetics. I think the satellite is a little too hard to control, it rotates really slowly and lazy. I would have more fun if the rotation was improved.

InfiniGrow by niccholaspage 2015-12-17T03:48:00

Not a bad entry. I was pleased with the animation but the controls don't feel too responsive, which made the game feel more difficult than it actually was.

Billy's Big Day by Kitty553 2015-12-17T04:27:00

Really fun entry. The music is really bright and set the mood well and I liked the sound effects. The first level is indeed too long, it'd be a lot more fun if it was shorter.

Garden Grow by justinooncx 2015-12-15T04:18:00

A really nice game, I would enjoy a mobile port even more. I liked the design decision to have a like a cushion at the bottom of the level that really helps players recover from mistakes. Sound effects were just okay I thought. Minimalist art is fine but I'm not a fan of the color choices, some don't mix well.

Mood Swings by catchthefloaty 2015-12-17T04:20:00

I liked the idea but it'd be nice if the visuals could infer a bit more on what's happening. It wasn't clear what to do until I read the comments. After that, the gameplay was quite interesting though.

O Christmas Tree by EthanWebster 2015-12-15T19:06:00

Fits the theme and the art style is really atmospheric!

On Tario by LeafThief 2015-12-15T03:04:00

Fantastic art and neat character portraits. However, there doesn't seem to be any audio on Chormium (Windows).

Growth by Alexander Ramsay-Baggs 2015-12-15T02:44:00

A well executed farming game, very comfy to play. Nice work.

Watch out for the green stuff! by wehard 2015-12-15T22:40:00

The controls are pretty nice and responsive; although I wish there was more visual feedback or sound effect that plays once you hit something that slows you down.

Super Santaur by tweedle 2015-12-15T04:49:00

Nice work on the graphics, they're pretty unique. The game is super jolly just for the seasons. It seems like there's some physics problems though. Occasionally I would get stuck on some objects like the ice walls and a few platforms.

Squirrel Forest by Luminar 2015-12-15T19:43:00

A really intruging concept, it could be really great with some more polish. There needs to be a little more visual feedback, especially when the player is waiting for the vikings to attack. The AI is very rough as well, but I understand it's hard to get it right under time constraints.

Colony XG-29 by juxipolo 2015-12-17T04:47:00

Wow this is really well done, I can't imagined how much work you've put into this entry. There's so many cards to choose from and it's very detailed in its design. This is one of the few entries that makes me want to continue playing after rating. It's a little overwhelming with all these cards but I'm sure I'll get used to it in time.

1 Button Wizard X2 by BoxedMeatRevolution 2015-12-15T05:04:00

Woah amazing work on the one button controls. Clever game design there. This entry has a lot of potential, I really hope you continue development on this on concept in the future.

Spellblast by Tonal Recall Games 2015-12-15T15:49:00

Great mix up of genres, I'd never would of thought of mixing a word game and a shooter! My favorite part of this entry is the graphics and monster designs. It looks like they were drawn with skill, the best comparison I can make would be something I would see in a surreal Adult Swim cartoon.

Slash & Dash by Fartenko 2015-12-14T23:11:00

Fantastic atmosphere and animation. The sound effects are really good as well, 5/5 mood for me.

Gjallarhorn by NoWandStudios 2015-12-15T16:36:00

Really impressed with the graphics for 72 hours. I also like the screen shake when you hit the enemy. Additionally I thought the controls were nice and responsive.

Centi-Snake by utoxin 2015-12-15T04:43:00

Works well once I had a handle on the simplified controls. I really thought the game could use some basic sound effects though. Look into sfxr, it's a free sound generator and probably perfect for this game. Also is the frame rate supposed to be so low for aesthetics or no? I tried the WebGL version and it felt really laggy. Nice job on your first entry.

ScaleFlexes by ansoneh 2015-12-15T16:00:00

Fun and simple entry, but I felt like I never had enough time to react to the incoming circles. The player should change size quicker or the circles should move slower. Or perhaps you could zoom out the camera view a bit to give the player more time to react.

Plantown by ChrisAntem 2015-12-15T17:02:00

Great concept to go along with both themes. I was really impressed by the graphics, they're really well done! The controls were interesting but took some time to get used to.

Blobitronica by crucknuk 2015-12-15T05:25:00

The graphics are really great, nice work while being minimalist. Dodging everything is a lot of fun but the instant deaths make things pretty difficult. Perhaps save the rays of death after the player is further into the level.

Growing Gertrude by edgeofcode 2015-12-15T03:00:00

Not a bad game, but the controls are very much an issue as they're not very intuitive. That along with the randomly appearing enemies while you can't control very well is pretty rough.

We used to be Neighbours by axoona 2015-12-15T19:37:00

Could be a good game but unfortunately it's too rough in its current state. The tutorial didn't really assist much and the text would fade away too quickly for me to read. Also the controls weren't really defined in it. That along with the clutered visuals made it hard to decipher the purpose of the game.

OSHIYA! PUSH! by inbetweengames 2015-12-15T16:12:00

Really great mood and aesthetics, I've seen the progress on Twitter. Clever idea to fit the theme as well.

Cosmic Bloom by Suaave 2015-12-15T19:46:00

Wow great job on the mood and graphics, 5/5 for those categories. I'm a fan of low poly stuff. Game fits the theme nicely as well.

Aloft by synthsmitty 2015-12-15T02:38:00

Sweet simplistic pixel art. Perhaps the game could be more difficult but the music made it pretty relaxing to play, so 4/5 for mood :)

Lurking Lights by xiin 2015-12-15T20:17:00

Exceptional art and mood. I don't like how slow my character is though, it could be sped up a bit, that alone would improve this entry a lot.

The More You Arm by Bamboy 2015-12-15T02:54:00

I literally have no idea why I'm eating a variety of balls...but I think I'm having fun?

A Small Giant by colinator27 2015-12-17T04:13:00

Pretty innovative despite the graphics. I enjoyed it.

EXPURGET by xodene 2015-12-15T19:22:00

Thanks, it's actually vector art roughed up, then handpainted on my Wacom tablet.

Also I updated the entry to include the OS X build, let me know how it works!

Sentient Sewage by blakeohare 2015-12-15T22:36:00

Wow, really great job on the mechanics and design. It's very original. I also liked low poly water for once because of the great animation!

Destination: Gravity by ThreeLivesGames 2015-12-15T04:23:00

Hot mama, those are some pretty pixels! Nice work on the visuals. The audio is one my favorites in the jam so far.

Picky Eater by Trash Games 2015-12-15T02:49:00

Graphics are cute and the game is pretty fun! Nice work on the music and sound effects, 4/5 in that regard.

Auxochrome by yuotta 2015-12-17T04:17:00

Pretty awesome atmosphere, I really liked the graphics and sound. But I wish the enemies, especially at the beginning, were a little easier to kill. It felt like they needed to many hits to knock down or the collision boxes were too small. So it really slowed the pace down of what feels like should be a quicker paced game.
