LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Octov by Taldius 2015-12-15T02:40:00

This game was amazing! the most fun thus far for me. I wanted to explore the world and I love the fact that you took simple controls and made them mean many things. I had some graphical bugs and the audio was a little harsh on my ears but I absolutely love it. Great job.

Earth Maker by jayitinc 2015-12-15T02:08:00

I thought this was a really cool prototype! I gave you the most points in fun, because this was really nice to play, but it suffered a bit with graphics and the lack of audio so the mood wasn't what it could be. With a little work this could be an exciting game!

Snake Scape by mockthebear 2015-12-15T03:38:00

Everything about this game is adorable and I love it. My only complaint was the snake speed, but I may not have gotten far enough for that to change yet!

Sunder Farm by BudaDude 2015-12-15T02:41:00

Art was really pretty, but the gameplay was a bit too tedious, and for a Ludum game, I feel the play sessions were a bit too long. I can't iterate how much I like the art, though.

Microgravity by jn327 2015-12-15T02:32:00

Hah! This was king of a blast to play. Really enjoyed the ship cluster, but struggled figurout out what the power ups did.

Inferno Botanica by QuestionableQuality 2015-12-15T02:06:00

I definitely like what you were going for, however, I struggled for a couple minutes to figure out what exactly was going on, and then longer to figure out that the fire was green. The audio on the fire also carries over into the menu. Not bad, and an interesting concept!

A-W-E-S-O-M-E by Cosmic5 2015-12-18T04:46:00

I really liked this, even though you didn't finish and didn't quit hit the theme because of it. I quit loved the look and feel, and the sprites + 3d environment with crunchy music was really cool. I would have shrunken down the text and made it less blurry though, that was rough. Cool prototype!

Pluto's Revenge by Angelosz 2015-12-15T01:58:00

Man, I just had, a really good time playing this thing. Only things I noticed were a few frame jumps in set intervals as well as some tearing in the background.

Lokator by Echo Team 2015-12-18T04:34:00

The graphics and the atmosphere were captivating, and I really want to explore the world more. 5/5 for that. Sadly, I feel like mechanically it fell short, I had trouble actually clicking the pests and I didn't understand what to do even after instruction. The audio was a bit grating but I do like the idea of the narration, really cool concept. It feel like a great prototype. Please keep working on this!

More Than 2 Defense by Micah Goodhue 2015-12-15T02:49:00

So, I was really hoping to get to more controller jokes, but I ran into a few game-breaking bugs that, unfortunately, impeded my progress to said jokes

Abyssal Zone by Leddev 2015-12-18T05:58:00

4.5/5, superb! The look and feel are amazing, the limited color palette and crunchy sound effects combined with the ambient soundtrack make for a haunting experience. The puzzles are tough but fair, and the mechanics are clean and the theme adds to the game in a way few others have been able to master. The reason I took off half a point was twofold. One, and this is just me nitpicking, but the controls felt a little tedious at times, especially reset. I would know the solution to the puzzle but then spend a full minute or two trying to execute it, and when I got it wrong and reset the game it would take a few tries to get the buttons to do what I wanted. The second thing also relates to reset, I believe. I got all six pearls, and I was really excited to get to the end and get that bonus room thingy, but the game bugged out on me and I couldn't get to the end. I went past the room where you have to use two bricks to make the spider guy hit the switch, and then came back to get the final pearl in the hall before you introduce the spiders. Turns out when I got the pearl and got back, the spider in the room with the two bricks was no longer a spider, but a brick, and he was now back in the center of the room and the door was locked. I thought maybe this was intentional but I could not interact with the new brick, so I assumed it was a bug. Thought I would let you know! Thanks!

Chew Gum!!! by serge_rgb 2015-12-15T02:19:00

The game is neat, really funny, and I like that you were experimenting with gameplay and growth as a mechanic, but I think that the rhythm game and having to diversify what you chew didn't really go together. you lose arbitrarily a lot due to just not getting the gum you need. Cool concept though, with some more work it could be interesting. :)

LazerLock by TeamDromedare 2015-12-15T02:21:00

I found it very difficult to control in a lot of ways, and struggled to figure out the game without reading through the readme. It has potential, though

Cyberkuza Syndicate by trashgames 2018-04-25T09:25:44Z

@dovakla Yes. That's correct. You can only be betrayed / trade with the trader you speak to in that turn. Currently weapon ties favour the player. Thanks for your feedback. I am currently thinking of ways to improve the game. A conversational trading system, where you have to talk to the trader, so you can get a sense if they will trade / betray you during dialogue. A and a Rock, Paper, Scissors type weapon system where the player must choose which weapon to take with them to a deal.
