It was a little frustrating because of the short field of view - I'd rather see the goal and race to get to it, rather than have it concealed and stumble around. Other than that, very simple and fun.
Extremely twisted. This was one of my favorite games in the compo, by the way.
I like the way the difficulty escalates over time as a consequence of more paparazzi and more cars. It would have been nice to have some kind of score that you can play for after beating the game.
This might be my favorite game of the compo. I'd buy it if it were a mobile game.
It took me a while to warm up to it, but I like it. I kind of wish there were more games out there in this style.
More fun than I've had with most roguelikes! Would have been more fun without the fog of war effect - I'd prefer to see where I'm going, even if it's hard to get there, than to stumble around. I'd buy this if it were more complete.
Very cool. You did the impossible: writing clean Java code! Still trying to figure out how you did the rendering.
The controls were a little too buggy to be fun on my machine. I love the artwork, it kind of reminds me of Splatterhouse.
This was one of my favorite games of the compo. I'd buy it if it were a little more polished.
This is a great entry, although I prefer to see the goal and struggle to get to it, rather than have the goal concealed and stumble around.
I like that the controls and gameplay are simple and straightforward. Also, the non-standard screen size was a nice touch.
Great graphics and level design. It would have been more fun with a life bar.
Love the graphics and level design. It would have been more fun without so many jumping puzzles, IMHO. :)
Very ambitious for a 48 hour compo. I have a similar project so I know how tough it is to complete this. I found it slow and confusing in the beginning, but the graphics were really clear and functional, and I like the feedback on the AI state of the sailors.
This might be my favorite entry. I love the simple gameplay and controls, and the fact that the light is an actual gameplay element (not just atmosphere).
Kind of buggy and confusing. I still gotta respect someone who finished, though.
