LD57 — Depths (15)

Forest Depths by Jon Curtin 2025-04-15T12:50:43Z ♥ 0

Cute game. I don't really see the theme but you finished a game in 3 days and its pretty well polished. Well Done!

Inner Beasts by jscommander 2025-04-15T12:45:50Z ♥ 2

Good level design and I liked the art style. The mysterious kind of audio made the whole thing come together.

Murder for Dessert by Fupi 2025-04-15T12:34:54Z ♥ 1

Beautiful game. Took 30 mins and the unlimited lives but I was able to crack it finally. Can't believe you were able to make this in 3 days. Incredible.

Pressure of the Depths by slay a stone 2025-04-15T11:52:00Z ♥ 1

The game is very fun to play. The Amoung Us like mini games are really interesting. I wish there were some more different types of them but I understand you had to make it in 3 days lol. I would suggest taking this further and polishing up stuff, add in a few more mini games. Another way to expand would be to have more submarine types with their own mini games.

Drill la Drill by FrogtownMatt 2025-04-15T11:43:41Z ♥ 2

The thing is liked the most is the movement. It felt really good and well polished. The boss was the easier one imo. The 3rd one was def hard and I think there should've been a boost option as well to boost past the fan wings. But otherwise pretty cool game for a game jam. Well done!

Glimmer in the Deep by ScrivenerOfLight 2025-04-15T11:37:30Z ♥ 1

The atmosphere and vibe is really good. Would have liked a minimap as I was very lost and a bit frustrated as I kept going to the same place I already visited. It might just be because I"m an idiot too lol.

Falling by ayuv 2025-04-15T11:27:44Z ♥ 1

Loved the idea but was a bit disorienting for me. Also I passed through the medicine thing but nothing happened. But the game looks pretty polished imo for a game jam game.

Dungeon Cartographer by finntastico 2025-04-08T10:12:05Z ♥ 4

Awesome game, I would add a small mechanic of lighting one of the fires in each room to light it up. I think it might give the player something to do rather than just walking around. And I suck at drawing, it looked like a 3 yr old drew my map 🤣

Depths Ascender by d-demetori 2025-04-08T10:01:19Z ♥ 1

Def a rage type, speed running game. I was able to skip the tiles, not sure if its intended or not. Well done though, I had fun playing it.

Echo Depths by Slyz 2025-04-08T09:51:00Z ♥ 2

Guys this is awesome. Easily one of the top 3 games I've tried today. The mechanic is really cool. The colors and animations are cool, the music is cool. Love it.

Living Lift by Scrawach 2025-04-08T09:43:59Z ♥ 1

Nice animations and motion. Especially the jump and fall down, you have the squish and elongate thing going on which makes it pop out really well. Something to work on is the camera which does feel very glitchy.

Abyssal Mayhem by Ranzor 2025-04-08T09:29:57Z ♥ 2

Good job. I especially like the afterimage like effect when you move. How did you implement that? The game feels very well polished with lots of enemy variations. I only saw 3 and I'm pretty sure there's lots more.

Target Practice by JCMonkey 2025-04-08T09:21:06Z ♥ 1

highscore - 1179 but I feel like someone really good can just do an endless run. Maybe something pops out afterwards? Very fun to play and well polished. I guess the theme interpretation is depth of field. Can't believe this was done in just 48 hrs. Congrats

Cave Escape: Featuring Steve! by Isaac Hisey 2025-04-08T09:08:38Z ♥ 2

The tutorial was pretty well made + the little humour at the end. One criticism I have is that, I would like something to take me back to the main screen where I could check the controls again or like settings to reduce the music something like that. Feels stuck in the game. Not sure if there is a button for it though on keyboard atleast.

Splat by aviolin 2025-04-08T08:59:48Z ♥ 1

The music is too good. Maybe something to keep track of your highscores will be a good addition.

What Goes In Must Come Out by SimplePotential 2020-10-09T18:47:31Z ♥ 1

Nice Idea. I like how you interpreted the loop as what goes in comes out. Some of the blocks start to overlap when you play for sometime. Maybe you can add like a collider and check if a block exists? I don't know which engine you would be using so you could do like check if something is already present and if yes then don't place green or purple block there. Anyways nice game. 😄
