I loved it! The general ambiance is poetic, the game design and the gameplay simple but effective. The sound design and the color switch totally seduced me. Great job!

The graphics are really great and the sound design (music + voices) just amazing. It really made me restart the game over and over. However, I thought the level was very easy (I pressed the space bar all along) and I'm a little bit frustrated that nothing really happened when I died (a scoring window would have been nice). Anyway, really cool game!
The sound design really amused me, same as the graphics. The gameplay is a bit basic but effective, which is nice. Diversity would have been great: outfits colors or hair, anything that can make the player think this is not the exact same baby. Great job anyway :)
Super original concept, along with a good graphism. Too bad that the sound design is missing, but we all know it's sometimes difficult to take the time to do it. I think the game could have been a little bit less difficult.
One of the most fun LD game I've played. Very challenging, and the sounds were so funny it made me laugh almost every time.
@flip120 You're probably right, I think a tutorial could change that in a future version of the game.
@arya Haha, at first I thought it was strange too but in the end I think it keep the game in a funny mood ("God damn, why do people just go to my place to vomit?!")
@antoined73 Thanks :) In the future, the game may have others level to avoid the repetitive aspect of the playing.
I really enjoyed playing the game, even if I didn't finish it because of a lack of personal time. The atmosphere is really fascinating, I've been taken in the game since the beginning! The sound design is helping to make this scary ambiance, but maybe it could have been more subtle: the main character breathe and the snake sound are a bit too loud in my opinion. Really cool first game anyway! :)
Honestly a really good start: the graphics are simple but really nice, as well as the sound design. I like the ingame tutorial and the controls are very intuitive. But I can't comment more of the game because I can't stop dying! I just can't get through the "double jump" section. I'm so frustrated!
Honestly a real nice concept, I had a lot of fun playing it. The way to behave is a bit difficult to understand at the beginning. The graphics especially are well worked. Great job!
I had to restart the first time because the controllers didn't work. The game is fun, I like how you designed your characters in a minimalistic way. The movement is very slow, wich I presume is a total part of the gameplay but is a bit annoying. The game itself is satisfying, probably because of its simplicity and the way the characters are exploding in particles - I also like how the floor, after some time, is filled with blood squares. I would have liked some challenge, the only score bar is frustrating and isn't enough to call it a game to me. Good starting anyway!
Honestly the most beautiful artwork seen on this jam. I fell in love with the global artistic direction, as well as the heavy atmosphere. The music helps a lot. I would actually love the game if the level design wasn't so repetitive. The crow animation is very poetic, and I was very charmed by the narrative input, but it feels a bit incomplete to me and it's very frustrating. I played in normal and easy mode, I've died both times and I really don't know if I could play again because nothing in the gameplay tells me there is a end of this story. In conclusion, I would say that the artistic and narrative input is absolutely fabulous and makes me want some more of this game, and I very encourage you to continue the work because it's clearly a game I could play. Well done.
@tetralogia very interesting comment, I totally agree with you. We intended to develop the gameplay but focused on details. But it's a good start for some changes. @bartosz I think you're right, sword animation should be faster. It's probably one of the thing we'll focus on. Everyone, thank you a lot for your comments and critics.
Very intuitive game. I liked the tutorial, simple but effective! The penalties add a lot of fun in the gameplay. Good job!
A difficult start! I liked the graphics and the concept though. Great job!
I really liked it! Definitely not my kind of game, but this was very fun. The music was very appropriate: stressful, but happy. Not too difficult, which is *perfect* for a noob like me. The super-bomb is very satisfying to use. I didn't really see the theme of "sacrifice" in your gameplay, though. Otherwise I've nothing to complain, you did a great job.
The level design could be easier. However I really liked the dark atmosphere: the music, the graphics (especially the Dark Lord hands)... We can clearly see the artistic intention behind the prototype.
I enjoyed playing this game. It was challenging - but yet not so difficult - until the level 7, which is a real deal: I never had the possibility to play further. Also, I didn't really understand the mechanics of the game, but it does not make it less pleasant to play.
One of the best game I've played today. Real good mechanics, graphics and sound. I'm impressed by the level design. It could have been a little easier, but I'm not a hardcore gamer so it's a pretty subjective comment. Well done!
The game is a bit difficult to handle, it ruins a part of the experience. But it worth the perseverance: it's very funny to see the characters burning (evil has spoken).
I really liked the game, it's very cute. It did freeze twice in the tutorial (web version), but that's not a big deal. I would have liked a little more resemblance between the real plants and the pictures in the book. I understand the interest (it adds difficulty I guess) but I find it a bit treacherous in the sense that the illustrations are not very realistic (very pretty, though). Apart from that, I think it's a good game, interesting and rather fun :)
I really loved the concept of the game, but I find it quite stingy with informations. I would have liked a little more time to adjust what my plants need. As a plant lover, I don't have any realistic indication of what they need, and the feedback is very discreet (except of the fact that the plant dies or is happy). For example, in real life some plants don't like to be watered too often, however in this game I have the impression that I have to use a minimum amount of water to make them happy, so I choose my actions in a random way. Apart from that, the concept is really good, the graphics are superb, the atmosphere is really pleasant and it's easy to handle. With a little bit of corrections and balancing, it's a game I'll play with pleasure.
Really loved the concept. It would have been really nice to see the plants moving to get the light :) good job as usual
