This makes me think of DOS platformers! Nice use of the theme too. I'd love it if your platforming was a little less floaty.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → eruditespirit

This makes me think of DOS platformers! Nice use of the theme too. I'd love it if your platforming was a little less floaty.
Fun little game, lovely graphics, and it's interesting that you need to escape more times than you die to actually win!
fantastic game; nice graphics, funny dialogue and fun gameplay to boot!
Nice music, interesting mechanics wrt moving two people at once and tombstones being obstacles.
Interesting interpretation of the theme! Platforming was a little too floaty, and it would've been nice if I didn't have to switch between WASD and arrow keys.
Very enjoyable; curiosity kept me going till the end.
Reminded me of those iOS twin stick shooters that had similarly blocky heads, but with an interesting powerup system. The sfx were a little loud, and there were a few collision detection problems with the boss(I think he wasn't being damaged by the fireballs at max speed), but other than that, great game!
I got up to Round 7, and it's quite funny to see his gun shoot 3 bullets with the second powerup.
Great gameplay with tight controls, wish the tutorial wasn't a pop up dialog though.
Fantastic, polished game with great art!
Way more fun than I expected! The special attacks and enemy types made it for me. I'd love to see you add some polish to the game post-compo.
Really hard game! I couldn't even get past the third stage. Fantastic graphics and music too!
I quite liked that the bullets ricocheted off enemies.
I would've preferred if the bullets were a little bigger.
Not a huge fan of the acceleration, but it seemed to work in context.
I liked the music.
Crazy music, wish it looped. Other than that, pretty decent pacman clone, and I like the way you start the game.
Oh, and I couldn't tell what the bonuses were doing, so I don't know which bonus is not a bonus.
Funny concept, lovely graphics, and nonstandard aspect ratio!
The sfx for the positive vote collection is a little too high pitched though.
Is the jump height tied to the framerate? I couldn't jump over the wall to the first yeti unless I was zoomed in. But other than that and the lack of air control, I think this was a good game with a great idea, nice graphics and good music
There doesn't seem to be much to do in this game, and there's a long delay before you can press a direction after each move.
I did find the easter egg though, that was in a pretty good place.
There's a lot going on in this game, what with the powerups and the map switching, and that's great! I'd have liked it if the enemies were a little easier to kill, but that's just me.
The familiar is super useful btw.
I didn't finish it, but I got the 3rd layer in 135 seconds, and more clicks than a Diablo runthrough :P
The interesting enemy movement patterns and decent amount of polish stand out!
Really fun TD, even though I couldn't even clear 10 waves :P
The music was great btw.
It's very difficult to understand the game, but it's an innovative turn based dota-style game, which makes it interesting.
Very interesting control scheme, wish the arrow was a little faster, but overall, good game!
Interesting game! I wish the corridors were a bit wider, and a little atmospheric music would've made it pretty amazing.
Quite nice game, I think I'd have liked it a bit more if it was a lot faster, for both the tutorial and the actual game.
I loved that different enemies fought against each other! I wish there was a score so that I could tell how many of them died.
A lot more fun than I expected it to be. I love that little robot and his animations!
Nice idea, but it took me a while to get to the text in my ship, so I didn't get it till then. Maybe zoom out a bit more? Also, it was really hard because your ship's a little slow and there's a huge number of bullets.
You only have 0.4 seconds to press a direction before it goes into the failstate. I tested it again just now, and it does work. Please try it again if you will.
Thank you for the feedback!
I didn't want to put in ramping difficulty because the lower difficulty often becomes boring after a few plays, but I think it would definitely have been useful to have longer times initially.
About the visual icons rather than English text, I completely forgot that it was a factor in how long it takes to react, so I'll definitely keep that in mind, thank you!
Thanks for all the feedback! I do agree that it needs at least a few practice rounds so that the player can get used to what they have to do, probably with a quickly ramping difficulty. I'll remember to keep in mind new user experience from now on!
A countdown's a fantastic idea, thanks!
The rotating directions mechanic is really interesting, and it makes it incredibly confusing to actually navigate the levels (which look great btw). Thanks for putting in the level skip, I don't think I'd have seen all the levels without it!
