Interesting idea, like the gameplay and visual!

Interesting idea, like the gameplay and visual!
Another morse-code implementation on this event, and this one is cool too. gameplay loop is fun and addictive and this army visuals are pleasant to eye.
Connecting Airstrike and morse code is very interesting! Though it may take some time to tap every code correctly, but after playing several round and getting a little bit upgrade, things are getting easier. Anyway, well done!
Absolutely loved the idea of using Morse Code as your input method. I struggled in the beginning, but once I got the hang of it, it was a lot of fun.
Felt awesome when you linked together multiple commands to jump between targets quickly, very cool
This is the type of game I was hoping to be able to play with this theme! There were a few levels where it was hard to see the targeting reticle. 73.
Awesome, your game is magnificent! I had a blast playing it, really cool stuff!
Really creative idea. The way he combines coordinates with Morse code is just perfect, though it's a bit on the difficult side. My hands often don't listen and press the wrong buttons.
Once I got the upload for area the game really opened up, great concept, great execution! No notes really the only trouble I had was my own fault I feel. Very well done!
Done! Great, engaging gameplay! At first it was hard to hit the moving objects, but with upgrades that stopped being a problem. It would be interesting to see how this gameplay could be developed further. Без имени.png
I loved the sound design and the gameplay loop. The game felt very polished, and I definitely entered a flow state. Well done
Really cool game. Difficulty increased nicely. Upgrades really mattered. Levels all different and harder than the last. Great submission :)
A truly polished and creative piece of work. absolutely love this innovative gameplay and rly cool SFX design!
Interesting gameplay and loads of content for 72 hours. One thing I would've loved is to have like to buttons to either put in o or -. I know that the morse code machine also only used one button, but for this gameplay I think it would make it more fun.
Interesting concept! I had so much fun playing it
Very nicely done, it gave me Helldivers II stratagem flashbacks 😆 The graphics and animations flow very nicely, the music is on point, sound effects are quite good. It's just the right amount of content for an LD game and the mission progression was very nicely done. At first I thought "yeah no way am I even fast enough for this first mission" but through a combination of learning and upgrading the skill tree I managed!
Not a lot to say for improvements, other than the skill tree didn't involve any decisions. One resource instead of three would have forced me to choose. But as it was the decision was always just "yes, please!"
Good work!
Haha, I genuinely did a double take seeing this 😅 I made DOT//DASH for LD59 — also a Morse-code shooter70031.gif
Curious if you'd come across it!
I really enjoyed your animated characters, tanks, and bomber plane! The upgrade system is a great addition too. Nice work!
@avi Thanks! ❤️ I haven't seen your game yet, but I'll definitely try it out right now. I actually thought I was the only one with this mechanic. Man, was I wrong. 😂
@rhewid Yeah, thought about the same thing. Even added Q/E controls for it, but the game instantly became way too easy. Decided to drop it. Might be worth adding as an option in the settings tho. Thanks for the suggestion! ❤️
Too bad there is no reply option for each comment on the site. Sending "thank you" messages to everyone in separate posts feels kind of weird. But just so you guys know @ulziton @orpheus @ralex-x @wheelsx @yubs @runningopenloop @ao-85 @pankun @isaac-hisey @cahard @technicalitycreations @vinnnie @dracco-0n @rhewid @dywanix @udo @avi , I am super grateful for all your words! ❤️❤️❤️
Superb concept! I really liked the graphics, the soundscape, and the overall design and aesthetics of it, including the very well done itch.io page. I'd love to see more of this; more incremental upgrades as in both boosts and tree depth, enemies shooting back with flaks, fighters and whatnot, special bombardment missions, etc. Also, in its current form the game was a tad too easy for me. Maybe could add bomb limit/cost, delay between strikes, or something?
@exigo Thanks for the feedback! ❤️
Cut a ton of mechanics and upgrades just to make the deadline. Definitely plenty of room to improve and add more later. Wrote down your ideas. Thanks again!
Yeah, thought it felt easy too, but figured that was just from testing it non-stop during dev.
Let a few friends try it and they actually found it way too hard. 😄 Definitely an interesting design challenge to try and please everyone here.
Great game, the mechanic with moving the sight using Morse code is simply GENIUS!!! I gave it the highest rating.
I've never seen anything like this, but it is still pretty good!
Very original and nice game. I was captivated by the art style and stayed for the fun and polished experience. At first I did not realize that you could send only one command (either row or column) to change the airplane's position which made it a bit hard but once i figured it out it was very satisfying. I feel like the dashes could be a bit quicker since I tended to avoid numbers like 1 or 2 due to the high amount of time I had to spend on them compared to something like 5, E or I. I don't know if less pauses would make inputs too hard though. The upgrade system felt very rewarding (if a bit overpowered, which is understandable for such a short experience) and gave the satisfying feeling of a power trip. Very nice entry!
The sound design at the start immediatly pulled me in. main mechanic needs some time to learn but later becomes second nature. Great enrty.
genuinely the best game i played so far in the jam
The GIF makes the coordinate system easy to follow: tap out a location, then watch the plane arrive. Having moving targets puts a nice bit of pressure on the Morse input. Keeping the codes beside the grid also means the challenge doesn't have to start with memorising an alphabet.
If you have a moment, I'd appreciate a rating on my latest game, [Robot Workshop](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/60/trashfight).
Such a cool game! Hard to play but very fun when you manage a hit :)
I found it quite difficult to enter the codes correctly and play smoothly, I think it would have been better if each signal had its own dedicated shortcut key. That aside, the pixel art is absolutely fantastic, and the sound effects are great. The concept of using Morse code for commands is highly original and fun, I just wish it had been implemented in a simple way so I could have played it for longer. Still, the game has great potential! Congratulations, great work! xD
@emaigualmc2-art Thank you for the feedback! ❤️
Just 2 days ago @exigo wrote that the game was too easy. It feels that way to me too, but I suspect it is because of non-stop testing during development.
I mentioned before that I thought about adding the option for 2-key input too, and there was even a version of the game with Q/E controls for it, but the game instantly became way too easy. Decided to drop it. Might be worth adding as an option in the settings tho. Thanks again for the suggestion! ❤️
This game is simple amazing, top 5 on LD60 for sure. Super fun, once you get the grip the gameplay launches into frantic action. Top graphics, top sound, not a single thing that I would change.
Congratulations!
Such a smart idea, bravo! The amber pixel HUD, the one-key Morse input and the grid map with codes printed on it feel clean and stylish, and the tutorial teaches it gently. Seriously cool, keep making games!
[Thanks for submitting your game to stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2909045755?t=02h43m41s)
The game started ridiculously hard, until I finally got the AOE blast ability. Then everything really started to click. 😅 I didn't have TOO much of a reason to care about most of the upgrade tree outside of a few power-ups, but the core idea itself seems very promising!
Игра очень понравилась. Процесс игры записал, будет интересно можешь посмотреть. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2910447474
@coleslaughter Thanks for these streams! 🔥
While waiting for my game, it was really fun watching you play the other games. It was super helpful to watch from the side how game onboarding works and how people figure out the core mechanic for the first time. It is definitely worth making the intro easier and maybe adding difficulty levels that simplify cursor control. 🤔
Thanks again for playing and for all the feedback. ❤️
@garyglhf Спасибо! ✌️
That was fun! I had a _lot_ of difficulty at the start, I'd unlocked basically the first tier of all upgrades before by the time I unlocked the 3rd area. Most of the upgrades (at least in the right two trees) felt pretty noticeable at that point (and beyond), so that was nice. By the end I finally had the hang of things and it was a lot of fun to steamroll back through the levels and get 3 stars on each level one after another. I loved using morse code, very "old tech". I don't think I actually learned any morse code, however, so maybe something that forced me to learn the letter/number -> code mappings would have been rewarding (though, made it even harder) - perhaps just having the grid be labeled with numbers and letters, and a separate chart somewhere listing each number and letter than their morse code, so my brain had to correlate the letter with the morse code (as it was, I just looked at the row I wanted, and looked directly at the code, never paid attention to the numbers/letters). Overall, nice job!
You have something here! imo one thing to improve is the difficulty progression. It's challenging at first, but once you unlock the 3x3 grid damage, it becomes much easier. Anyway, congrats! great entry!
I was bad.. then I became better! Hard to believe how hard I was failing, after playing 3 Morse code entries so far I should be picking this stuff up! Everything felt tight and well polished, mechanically it had an unusually good balance for a jam entry (a good thing). Make more levels after the jam, I want to get lost in this game for a few days :) https://www.youtube.com/live/1jKZ760uuDk?t=8362
