The game is very interesting, and I really like the idea. Sometimes, those upgrade fields spawn near the border, making it very easy to take damage.
really fun game, after a while game lags a bit, maybe some of the bullets are still alive outside the screen, also good music!
Cool game! I think it could benefit from being more fast paced with more frequent trees, upgrades, and monsters. I ended up dying when a circle spawned almost all the way into a wall and got hit by a monster as soon as it spawned, which was pretty frustrating. I'd recommend to reduce the spawn area for circles to account for this. I liked the music a lot! With a few minor adjustments this could be really great, and it is already impressive given your time constraints!

Cool game but it wasn't clear what the trees do. If the objective is to plant more trees, then there should be a penalty for not doing so. Currently it feels like the main objective is to just survive as long as possible.
I recommend doubling the speed of the entire game.

Nice little summoning game! The main difficulty was dealing with summon circles spawning near the border. It is really tempting to use them, but you know that it may be dangerous. This is one of the best examples of "it is not a bug, it is a feature"!

Nice little game with solid gameplay design. Need to mention your sound effect is added which makes it too loud when I have multiple soliders to shoot with me.

Liked the use of the theme! I would've liked some feedback on standing on the green zones, which was a bit confusing initially, but enjoyed it after reading it up!

Nice use of the summoning theme, I like the idea of replication. Missing some feedback when killing enemies and probably a sign that they arrive. Feels frustrating when you get killed by an enemy you couldn't see coming. Otherwise its really well done for a solo dev :)
Fun game with simple controls. It took me a minute to get the hang of the tree planting and power-up strategy, but I got it after a couple of minutes. Reached 450 points :). So far, this is the best out of the 20 games I've played.
Fun little game with a good and interestingtake on the theme. I like the sound effects and music! The art style is also really nice and simple, awesome work for one developer! :D
Some feedback would be to balance out the player attacks / power-ups with more enemy variety. I think it would double the fun if there was a yellow monster that was twice as fast for example :)

One thing that I found a bit counterintuitive is that there's little incentive to actually plant the trees - sure, each tree gives lots of points, but they also increase the difficulty. On my second run I kept farming biomass and power ups for a while then I resumed planting tree only because the easy enemies were too easy by then 😅. A more patient player could just keep playing on easy indefinitely to get a higher score.

@wendel-scardua I'm actually trying to find a way to mitigate this. Maybe use a multiplier to entice players to go to harder difficulties, or maybe a wear-off that decreases the number of points that enemies give after so much in a single difficulty
Nice little arena shooter! I agree with what’s said above, that increasing the difficulty doesn’t seem to be worthwhile. I would argue that it should be impossible for the player to stay on a low difficulty forever, there should be a reason that you’re eventually forced to increase the difficulty, or that the game ups the difficulty even if you don’t. Otherwise if it’ll be possible to infinitely power up or get infinite score, which really invalidates both the score and the sense of achievement.

@wendel-scardua @justcamh I released a patch that doesn't allow the player to stay in the same difficulty. If you reach three times the quota of trees value you'll be tossed to the next difficulty and penalized for the remaining quota not captured. I just need to add a warning so the playing isn't caught by surprise when this happens
@online-play I've decrease the area of spawn of the zones. Now it's less unfair.
@bastillas The lag is restricted for the web build. I have an idea why, but I couldn't fix this yet, so stick eith the windows build and you'll be fine.

@themotleybrit The damage indicator I don't know if it is like pop how much damage you dealt but at least the enemies show they've been hit by blinking.
@unchain I changed it, now it only makes the shooting sound when the player shots, not the little minions. Hopefully that helps!
@rudra-nil-basu Now if you stand in any zones they will spin and shrink instead of fading away.
@squidly You get told in the beggibg now to capture trees and if you don't you get penalized for the trees not capture to your quota and get thrown to the next difficulty.
@shasaur I want to add that later, but since the jam is still running I can't make gameplay induced changes. Only QoL, bug Fixes and unintentional mechanics fixes.

Really fun game! I like the concept a lot, having to choose if you wanna rather focus on the objective, getting more allies or more damage. It's a very simple but effective idea, and with a few tweaks with the optimization for webgl, it could go a lot way. You could also have it so the game checks if you have maxed allies, and if so, it doesn't spawn any more blue circles, since you wouldn't need them anymore.

Tried it out again, the webgl seems much better now yes, but there's still occasional lag from time to time. It seems to mostly happen when there's 10 units with the player. When moving to the next level it does fix it though.
But wow this game is much harder without the lag. I'd even say, it's a bit too hard, since you rely a lot on having maxed out units, and that's just gonna happen if you have good RNG. So if you don't have 10 units with you, the enemies WILL overwhelm you super quickly, and there's not even invisibility frames, which can make dying feel a bit frustrating, especially if you die due to loads of enemies clumped up together since you couldn't kill them anymore.

The minimalistic artsyle is pretty neat and the music is good too!
I really enjoyed this, the gameplay loop kept me hooked, even tho I didn't get that big of a score, the spike in difficulty makes me wanna return to the game and get a even better score. I also thought the bullet spread when you hold the cursor in the middle of the group was a nice touch, the way the bullets look in general is really satisfying.
It would be neat to see this game with a lot more variety in pickups, more types of enemies and maybe even a skill tree system or upgrades at the end of each stage
