Very nice artwork. Props to you making the game open source
Cool! I just played your game for a bit. Firstoff: congratz on your first LD entry! I see that you were part of a big team. Did you have fun?
Sadly, once in a while I get an error. You can check it here, as the stacktrace is very long: https://pastebin.com/yd5L8W62
Some feedback/questions I've got for you: - I don't see any reference of why the rain is important. I tried togging it, expecting the boxes to soak, or the robots to fry. But there does not seem to be anything changing. The effect is awesome though! It is the only control mentioned in-game, so I thought it was a key mechanic. - The buidling you warrior part is very original and deservers some innovation points, very well done!
The premise is pretty cool! I liked that you couldn't really run out of life, since if you got hit and lost boxes you could just disengage, backtrack, and plug the boxes you lost right back onto yourself. I found the fighting option to be pretty slow and not very practical, compared to just jumping over the enemies, though. Even the turtle was far easier to leap than to fight. Also the game crashed when I hit a delivery point with only 4 boxes on my character. The rain effect is neat, though I wonder why it's presented so prominently. Was it intended to be part of a more important mechanic that got cut for time? Overall, congrats on your game!
Cool concept. You ARE the delivery. I wish the art looked a bit more like your cover art.
I really like the concept of picking up a bunch of packages to be your body. The combat could have used a bit more polish as it was unclear if I was hitting them. Also the dog after the first drop zone would not die. I was wailing on it for a good 5-10 minutes and it would not go down or leave me alone.
Lacks a lot of polish and juice. But could be something there. Surprised by how big the team is.
im getting an error in the dog scene https://prnt.sc/DIgRyo4vS9uD but the visual style is good, i loved the rain, nice game in overall
@pralista We haven't realized that bug while the jam. After your feedback we fixed that in the latest version. You can checkout bug free version in the itch.io. Thanks for feedback :blue_heart:
@sakii Thank you so much i hope you had enjoyed Deliwar
@wouter52 Thanks for the taking your time to feedback. We added your suggestions about the rain in our future plans :blue_heart:
@agudar Unfortunately that bug is occuring because of webgl. We tried to fixed that in in latest bugfix. You can checkout for bug free version in the itch.io (windows version is more stable right now). Thanks for your feedback
I like the idea of building yourself out of boxes and being able to repair yourself, it reminds me a bit of Knack on Playstation.
@proutymat Thank you so much ♡
The game's music is full of rhythm and energy, and another piece of music will be played when triggered by battles, which is great! The background will slowly move with the character's movement, which is very immersive. The highly polluted background and mutated mechanical creatures in the game can make people pay more attention to environmental protection. Great game! Thanks to the development team's efforts!
@yuriscat Thank you for playing our game in the Ludum Dare game jam and for your kind feedback! We're thrilled to hear that you're loving the game, and appreciate your support and encouragement. Keep enjoying the game and please don't hesitate to share any further feedback with us. Thanks again! :purple_heart: :blue_heart: :black_heart:
The idea of the packages building the character was excellent. The game play needs some work. The fighting graphics need a lot of work. Keep at it, add some polish to the game
Thanks for awesome game <3 The twitch integration was really cool idea, maybe in next Ludum Dare we will see some extended use of it?? :o
Also some sort of tutorial would have helped. It was initially unclear when to press "fight", "throw" and "pick up". But eventually I managed to beat the game. :-)
Nice job. It is innovative to play as a delivery. But there are some suggestions. 1. I notice that delivery has different types. Maybe the way player attack could be affected by which types of things you pick up. For example, an iron pipe could be a sword or a fews of books could become a shield. 2. I can't see the difference between attack and throw. I could accomplish with the enermy only by the throwing. I believe that further design could make the game more fun.
@devil-ovo @beebster-games @martta Thanks for the taking your time to feedback <3
@martta Thank you so much for playing our game and for your kind feedback. We're working on to implement more function with Twitch like spawning enemies with a chat (its kinda a secret build for us but for that you can check out version 1.4 on our github release page - u can use !enemy and !hurt commands in that)
@devil-ovo Thanks for all this amazing suggestions, we're so glad to hear new ideas for the game. I personally loved your book shield idea. I hope you had enjoyed Deliwar :card_box: :blue_heart:
Whacky concept, really unique! I think the screen could have started scrolling a little bit earlier.
Super fun! The build yourself mechanic worked really well!!

Very interesting concept. The art style is very cool and the mechanic of collecting more and more boxes in order to become a more powerful animate object is unique and interesting. Not sure what the rain mechanic was for, but the visual effect looked very good. I think the controls could use a bit of polishing and the ranged attack was a lot more powerful than the melee attack, essentially making it better to always use ranged. Despite this though, the game looks very good, so keep up the good work!
Very intriguing visual style!
Cool concept! I found the fighting to be a bit awkward but still enjoyable! :D
really great idea! was kinda awkward to play at first time but then it was fine. a little bit advice about music: sometimes it was a little bit too loud when we faced the hostile mod so it'd be nice to fix. nice entry!
Love the concept.
Fun concept, I feel like I haven't seen too many games this jam where you're fighting enemies, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see one. The boxes all coming together when you press E is super satisfying!
I will say that the "throw" felt a little bit overpowered - I can just wait until I see an enemy, get some distance, and spam it without taking any damage.
Cute game! I don't know what the "rain" does, really... seems like nothing? I wished that the dogs didn't just stick on you once they spawned. I couldn't really run back and take a breather/collect the boxes that got hit off of me without the dogs being on my ankles. The dogs matched your sprint speed so there was really no escaping them.
Eventually I got stuck with a dog that didn't seem to get hit no matter what I did, and I ran back and eventually the boxes got flung past the start point.

I did replay again and managed to finish to the end. There was one thing that confused me though, in the "Delivery Zone" There seemed to be 12 boxes that can be delivered, but it only ever took the first row of 4 items from me and not more than that. So I'm not sure if I did that part right, but no matter what I did it only ever took 4. Same with the second Delivery Zone. So when I got to the end, I still had a majority of the boxes I collected...so I'm not sure if I "won" necessarily?
Not sure how delivery zone works, and time between clicking "F" and actually attacking seems a bit too long but still very good work :-)
Props to you for managing to integrate Twitch into your game and create a unique gameplay experience in just 72 hours. The fighting felt a bit awkward (mostly due to the graphics) but the original concept and art style more than make up for it.
I really liked becoming an animate box golem!
I think the visuals for this entry were top notch and the theme was fitting, but I found the gameplay lacking. Hold "move right" and press "throw" over and over. No environmental obstacles, no real movement options.
I also was a bit confused about the delivery points. They showed many slots but only took the top four.
Cool idea for a game, wish there was some way for the player to customize how their box person was made. Throwing together a bunch of box arms for faster, more numerous attacks or something would be really fun. Being able to use different attacks other than the punch, or having a blocking mechanic would be nice
Your idea for this game is really interesting! It's a refreshing game for me. Every time I finish fighting enemies and go back to pick up my own goods, it's really cute
