very very good
Very interesting style of gameplay here, it's a cool concept and I found the idea very funny. However (this is probably me being bad at puzzle games) I couldn't find a way to get past the 3rd level, the quilt just proved to be too finnicky and the time limit too restrictive to really allow me to figure out what to do before it ran out.
If the timer was lengthened or removed it'd make for a more casual and enjoyable experience, and being able to skip the dialogue on restart would make things a bit less frustrating. I also ran into a bug after restarting a level where the camera was zoomed in, but the cutscene where the officials arrived played out like normal, and the camera remained in place.
WONDERFUL game! I love the idea, I love the execution, it's fun to fiddle with and has a great tone. The music, sound effects, and art mesh well to create a sense of unease and wrongness, it's just so cool! I had to stop playing after the third level (with the quilt) because I couldn't lift up the newspaper to reach the button under it, but that does not diminish how much fun I had with this game. LOVE IT! Oh, also the audio when you win is insanely, insanely loud. It's a little rough :P
Very good game! Funny and engaging physics-based gameplay plus an interesting narrative about a farmer trying to make ends meet under strict produce quotas, all with a captivating art style and charming presentation
This is a really cool idea and it's a fun puzzle! It's kind of buggy though when the newspaper isn't clickable.
Excellent light and shadow matching and physics engine, combined with background stories to play the game will be very interesting. I like the design of the hidden button on the game end interface
The game has been well polished and idea is pretty cool, sometimes the sound effect will loop when two object has collision
The concept is great. I like the music and sound effects a lot. And the victory screens. I tried to go to the itch page and it gives me a 404, though :(
We have received feedback from you. We will release a new game containing bug fixes and function improvements, so that you can have a better play experience.(about 2~3hours later)Hope have fun with our game!
美术风格,游戏玩法,还有故事都很棒!我最喜欢的是通关之后报纸转来转去的效果,干得好!
The game is great! Love the atmosphere and theme and narrative. Good job!
F Pressers pay you respect
Place objects and with puzzle elements, in a tense atmosphere, little by little to discover the way to pass the level, very interesting to play. The finish and artwork are also impeccable.
Verrrry cool idea! Love the subversion. I would say the end level scene is a bit hectic on the eyes, and the final level got a bit frustrating with the physics reawakening while the cutscene plays and ruining it, but the idea and execution is great!
@veridis Thank you for playing and feedback! Disabling physics during cut scene is an intuitive design, good advice!
@moonblast Thank you for your playing and appreciation!
@fallcresthero Thanks for playing and feedback! FFFFFFFFF, too!🤣
@bowen 谢谢你的鼓励~!转场设计可是我的骄傲哈哈哈哈😎😎😎
@eddrw Really sorry for that! I mistakenly forget too publish the itch page due to my unfamiliarity with the platform, this is our very first LD attendance. Thank you for reminding me, really helped!
@mnikn Thanks for playing and advice! Next time we will be more prepared at SFX produce. It really affects gameplay experience!
Great theme and gameplay! Like the art style very much as well :D
@thgold Thanks for playing! Hidden button design is my proud haha!🤣Thank you for appreciation~
@awelotta Thanks for feedback. Really sorry for bad experience, we haven't had enough quality assurance and the bug even differs between different devices! Before next jam we will try learn more about Unity and try reduce bugs and different experience among all platforms! Thank you~
@awelotta And in v1.2 under our test condition bugs are fixed! *However still some problem if player switch window, please avoid it for good experience!*
@aruspice Thanks for appreciation! The idea of our game is derived from actual historical period [Great Leap Forward](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Leap_Forward).
@judjudson Thanks for your appreciation! Sorry for bad experience about the bug that you cannot drag the newspaper. We haven’t had enough quality assurance and the bug even differs between different devices! In v1.2 under our test condition bugs are fixed! However still some problem if player switch window, please avoid switching window for good experience!
@judjudson Next time we will consider more on music and SFX experience! Thanks for advice.
@surr-sloidah Thanks for your feedback and appreciation! In our first consideration we assume that player can feel sense of tense and unease with timer, and helps to provoke bad feeling for the official. But, you are right, timer do not have to be every scene and every level, a more curved emotional experience flow can be controlled when we design to set or not set a timer.
And the design of **Level 3** scene is also kinda misleading. It has multiple solutions, and the easiest solution do not even have to use the quilt! Only scaffolding and grain container itself is enough. This design firstly aims to encourage players think different and enjoy Eureka moment when they find a special solution. However, it is proven to be not so effective and we should split the *"new mechanic introduction"* and *"think different"* in different levels.
Thanks for your advice!
@sunazazel Thanks for appreciation!
@hamster5295 Thank you for playing! Glad to know you enjoyed it!
This is a really interesting concept for a puzzle game! It also manages to fit the theme really well, which is perfect. I really love the atmosphere of the game- you can really feel the tension and the anxiety when they come to inspect the harvest. I'm also a sucker for physics-based puzzles, which this definitely satisfies. Overall, awesome work!!
@moosey Thank you! We are really happy to know that you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing!
Super impressive graphics, and nice physics, it was super fun figuring out the best way to stack the grains
Great idea and game
Fun game, really like the concept and the gameplay idea is cool. Sadly, I couldn't replay the third level, because after clicking on replay the game just showed me the same scene with the newspaper
Scam people procure so much fun, nice mechanic it's pretty original ^^ gg
@puttputtthetruck Thanks for playing! Glad to know that you enjoyed gameplay!
@nathan-varughese Thank you!
@pfannkuchen So sorry for the bug on replay button, we will try to reproduce the bug and fix it in future. Thank you for playing and reporting bugs! And we are happy to know that you enjoyed concept and gameplay!
@iesnihs Yes, this sense of scam is where fun is! Very thankful to know that you enjoyed it!
It was fun to play). Only from myself I would add that I would like the sounds not to be able to play so many times in a row, and sometimes it was annoying). And the visual and text were nice).
@paulsams Results proved you are right, there should be some "cold down" like logic when processing SFX, but time and schedule was too tight in 72h that finally we cannot make it to do this improvement in time. Before next jam we will further construct our tool chain and attach importance to audio processing!
Really thanks for your advice, and thanks for playing!
Thank you for this pure fun experience. the idea is exellent, I really appreciate the fact of cheating with the various objects present in the scene. Congratulations to the team, this game rocks!!! especially the humor of the game. 5 star rating!
@francois-dervaux Thank you for the high praise! Your enjoyment have greatly encouraged us, and this is also why game making is so fun! Thank you so much!
I adore your game sir, simple rules yet you found good balance with the time contrain that every new level feels challenging and fair. Great job!
@diler Thank you for your comment! We will continue to work hard to make a better game!
I really liked the mechanics and the impact of everything happening. Perfectly stylized, it is played pleasantly. Sounds are generally a buzz.
I mean, the sounds are generally perfectly matched and feel good
@tvorojok Thanks for playing and enjoying!
Totally funny. The first game I hadn't clear what to would mean to fake it, then I got it the right way and well done :smirk: Love the art style, simple but clear and the quick and fast mechanic is simple and effective. Nice entry :smile:
I think this is the most creative take on the theme I've seen yet! I was just reading about how many communist countries forged their statistics, not (just) out of malice, but because of stuff like this.
The last level took me many attempts. I knew what I had to do, but physics objects kept jostling against eachother causing the structure to fall apart before the inspector climbed to the top of the ladder. But the actual selection of the objects to put them in place felt very natural.
My other main gripe is that restarting the level is very cumbersome. You have to go through a transition animation and wait for the dialogue-skip button to work. Very clunky. And if time runs out, you have no way at all of skipping the inspection.
Really neat concept for a game that ties unique gameplay and unique setting together perfectly. Great work!
Interesting take on the theme! Physics-based puzzles can be tricky to get right, but I think you've done quite well here. Like the retro graphics and the overall style of the game. Well done!
Looks promising to me! pseudoharvest.jpg
Really nice entry, polished graphics and simple yet challenging gameplay! There is a lot of love in it :smile_cat:
Finally! We found the source of all the bugs! Please wait for our update!
Oh this is great, and very unique. Great job!
This is pretty clever! Aesthetic is nicely polished for the scope you took on.
I had such a great experience playing this game! Funny and original adaption for this theme.
@leggy Thank you for playing and your praise! Hope you had enjoyed your "Aha moment" to figure out the game mechanics!
@zungryware Thanks for your high praise! and also your precious advice!
Next time we will address more importance to optimizing user experience and reduce these garbage time.
Thanks again!
@digital-bacon Thanks for playing and your praise!
@fis Good solution! Thanks for playing and thanks for your love❤️~~
@lxndrdagreat Thanks for playing and praise!
@artsyomni Thanks for your appreciation!
@paci Thanks for playing! And happy to know you enjoyed it!
Great idea and implementation! Long restart times were the only thing that was a bit frustrating. Also, in one of the levels, my decoys were a bit exposed by the time officials came, so if it's not already a feature, this waiting time would be a cool motivation for the player to keep the build stable.
Very neat little game! I love the loading screen where it shows the year's newspaper, and you have to move it aside to get to the "Next Level" button. That was very clever and thematic. I only had a few notes: -It took me a while to figure out that I was supposed to click on the farmer guy to end the level. IMO, it should end automatically once you succeed in your task. -The cursor kiiinda looks like a middle finger...?
Really good game, love the idea and it is pretty fun to mess around with ways to finish the level, loved it!
I did it!
t3.png
And without a quilt or a ladder!
This game will be even more fun and challenging to add a ranking scoreboard to show who reached the highest horizontal and who used less objects.

Harvest Line can be much higher for who likes challenges! And they deserve a extra bonus. In this way you can encourage players to dive deeper into the mechanics and achieve what was impossible.
That's really great, I appreciate all your jobs!
Very funny story and fun gameplay! Great concept and execution.
I guess we could always draw inspiration from our history...Great job. This is thought-provoking yet super fun. Clever mechanics to fit the narratives, quality pixel art and interesting music track choice. 牛逼的团队合作,爱来自中国:P
@deimos 感谢支持!这也是我们初次参赛!以后会继续努力!
Nice gameplay mechanics and beautiful music. Also I loved the dialogue system!
Very clever and fun game mechanics and nice use of physics.
It feels smooth to play and I can imagine myself playing this for a long time. I don't even have anything to criticize, maybe just that I would prefer if the game started immediately after I press restart - I don't want to have to skip the cutscene I'd already seen to be able to play.
Other than that, great work! One of my favorite games so far on this jam!
Physics based puzzle game. Brilliant! I also loved the art and audio elements and it was very well polished, especially the lighting effects gave life to the game!
That has to be the most creative and best utilisation of the theme that I've seen (at least so far) actually 0 complaints
nice little game. I dont like puzzle games very much. but that was nice. I liked the sound and the pixel art. Good work
@spaint Thanks for feed back! The present design indeed requires player to build a stable structure, however we also received far more than one feedback telling us that it is REALLY frustrating to see a "completed" work collapsed in the very last second. This is really an important feedback and if we could have further chances of continueing developing, we would optimize it by pauseing before the final inspection? Or avoid adding unstable stuff like a quilt(Though infact only in this game the quilt is that unstable, in reality they don't)
Really thanks for playing and your precious advice!
@steelfeathers Thanks for your praise and feedback!
Sorry for your bad experience.
In this game tutorial there were too much "implication" but not a straight tutorial.
This is an attempt of our design (to use more implication), but from your feedback and after our consideration, it's true that we should make more obvious signals but not just "hope" the player could try something they possibly never thought about. It's designers duty to provide all players with smooth experience but not to provide them by possibility.
As you mentioned automatically succeed is also a feasible solution to this, we would consider it when making a similar design next time!
Really thanks for your advice, this is our very first LD jam participation and we will be more cautious when designing the tutorial!
As for the cursor, that's really sorry, we really had no offense, and our art he denied. He said it's not a middle finger but a first finger. But the curve of pixels maybe is just a little ... weird?
@dacs Thanks for playing! hope you had enjoyed it!
@morimori Good job! Also the solution without quilt and ladder is also mentioned the walkthrough video in the page above. Scoreboard can really encourage player to try different ways of problem solving but for limited time we finally do not have a time to finish this idea.
Really thanks for your advice! Hope you had a good time with this game!
@echo397 Thank you for playing!
@hulya Thank you for playing and your praise!
@deimos 谢谢鼓励!我们会继续努力的!
@hayricakir Thank you for praise!
@mvasko2 Thanks for feedback. Sorry for the cutscene performance. When testing game, we also realized the annoying cutscene(I mean, to play it over and over again, it's boring). However, because of our unfamiliarity with the Timeline animation toolkit, it's kinda dangerous to do modification for our code is a little messy already, so we put it with less priority and finally lose time to fix these problems. Before next time we will refine our toolkit and learn better programming skill as students.
Thanks you for playing!
@spyranteros Thanks for your praise!
@pedsm Really thanks for your appreciation!
@keip Thanks for playing!
perfect fit for the theme and mean while having a unique and funny core mechanism. wonderful! will expect for more level!
You all absolutely killed it! The graphics were great, the music fit right in, and the character animations were nice and ominous. Even though the stakes were low (you just restart the level if you fail), I found myself on the edge of my seat not knowing if I would be caught cheating or not each time the inspector climbed the ladder. This was a very fun game to play! I also didn't manage to find the key!
Unique take on theme, great job! Nice use of physics, puzzle aspect and funny story do create a neat little game.
This was fun, could definitely see myself play a longer version of this!
@eggshelldog Thanks for playing and appreciaton! We will consider further development after we build a more helpful toolkit, also to learn from all mistakes made in this jam. These updates may then be published in my itch.io site.
@lookleftstudio Thanks for playing!
The key is inside the oil drum. You can hear high pitch sound of collison when you shake the drum, or simply when you drag it. To take out the key, you can try to put the drum up side down and pour it out. Maybe when it's not working, try shake it again and finally it will come out.
After that you can drag the key to the farmer and he will give you more grain!
Here is a demonstration GIF:

@t90 @pikkufighter Thank you for playing and praise! We would further polish this game in future if possible!
Oh my god I can't believe some of the screenshots I saw coming in here. There is a LOT more flexibility in setups than I expected! A serious testament to the design of the game and how much creativity it allows.
I really enjoyed this game. It's an intuitive concept, yet not one that I've really seen or practiced before. You perfectly tie this in with the theme of inspections in a shady country to seal the deal.
The quilt was a brilliant idea. I've seen other stacking type games in the past, but none that used this sort of joint-system. It made it very unpredictable in a good way. Like some of the comments here mention, it was harrowing to watch as your perfect quilt sunk under the weight of the grain and have you lose in the end. Unlike the others, I found this fun and a nice challenge to overcome.
This appears to be your group's first LD entry, and it is SUPER impressive for being that. Hope to see more from your group in the future!
@peachtreeoath Really thankful to you for your appreciation! We are also looking forward to seeing what's the best that our game can be in the future!
I really want to try the game! Although I have GNU/Linux, do you plan on releasing it on this platform in the future? It looks so much fun!
@milq Just now we uploaded a Linux build, using Unity's cross-platform setting. However, we haven't tested it on Linux platform yet, because we do not have such environment now. Therefore, we can make no guarantee right now, and we are really sorry for that.
If you want to play it, you can have a try right now. You can report any bug if you meet any problem with it, and we will fix the bug as soon as possible.
Hope you can have fun!
OMG I'm soooo jealous hahaha! Your physics is so tight! We did not manage to do such a good job wow. Also the narration, graphics and music are so on point! Everything feels so great, very well done!
This is such a well executed game! Love the old man and his sneaky ways hahahh
I had to restart once cause there was some bit of furniture exposed, but I managed to finish the game :) I'm sad that the old man went away in the last round
Nice game! My only complain is the v-sync, I think you should add an option to enable it or maybe just ship the game with it
