This game is just as fun to play as it looks! Aesthetics are on-point in this game, and the music/sfx complemented the gameplay nicely. My only criticism is the "essence" or experience you get from enemies kinda looked like projectiles, and it took me a little bit to realize they weren't hurting me. Great seeing an upgrade system that adds new mechanics to the game aside from just "damage increase". All in all a well-made jam entry!
It's just SO fun to play! I lost like an hour to this game! It's just so juicy and crunchy and the controls are amazing and everything about it is just great. It really sets the bar high for other games!

Game looks very good! Nice graphics, good gameplay (although a little long for my taste) and a nice soundtrack. Im wondering how you made it :P Good job!
This game wins. No doubt. Every single category. It's beautiful in every way imaginable. I have no criticisms. Just praise.
Seriously though, great game, amazing sound design, and lovely pixel art. Amazing!
Game with great rhythm, great sound feedback, the graphics are uniform and with a very nice visual, I managed to memorize the behavior of the enemies very well, I really like bullet hell so it was a wonderful experience! Congratulations partner, together I invite you to play my game, I would love to know your opinion about it.

Wow, art and audio are top tier. Interesting premise. Exciting upgrade choices. Would reach the spring of life again.
This was amazing, had great quality, and bleeds the same juice as gun rounds. Only problem I ran into was that on my first run, after picking up the ghost wail upgrade i could no longer move. Other than that, a wonderful experience.

This game has really charming graphics and design, I like the level of polish. Sometimes my weapon "upgrades" ended up being much harder to kill enemies with and I feel like I was punished for wanting to try different things, so I'd recommend being able to switch between the various weapons you've unlocked? But overall it's a very solid game, great work
really nice art reminds me of the game boy color

Great gameplay. This is a really fun, very polished. I really like the risk-reward of swapping out an upgrade that might not always be better than what you have.
Refined gameplay loop, polished feedback, interesting and varied upgrades. Wow. What a good-ass submission!

When I die, if I ever do, I too want to be a shambling corpse protected by my soul flying around and shooting crap into oblivion. Just top-tier everything.
Art choices were all great - I did get a little disoriented when around all the baddies, not knowing exactly where I was destroying stuff. Sound was solid and fit with the action. Pacing was just the best. The game gives you everything you need to understand the game - which is difficult to pull off. Big Win!
Great game. Nice and juicy. I'm impressed by the upgrade system, and overall presentation. Ends pretty abruptly, but that's to be expected for a jam game. and I kinda wish you had some artwork for this so-called fountain of life.
Your take on the theme was very similar to mine, you should check out my game ;) I really like your zombie's walk animation.

This is a clear winner if I ever saw one. I loved the snappiness the game had, and the effects for each upgrade were great, my favourite was the sword for sure. It felt very fun to use.
Hey this is a really nice game! Albeit a tad on the easy side, but I definitely enjoyed it!
Very solid entry. The core gameplay is simple but well executed on, not just on gamefeel but on juice as well. The upgrades are where this game really shines, and they come often enough that it's really hard to stop playing. Although I think the rapid fire is the strongest, the big laser beam was the most fun to play with. I liked that it had a long duration, so that you can do nice trick shots where you clean a line, while other ghosts charge into the side of it. A lot of depth put into a simple weapon.
Some criticism is that the essence visually looked dangerous to me, so I thought my guy was being pelted by projectiles nonstop and I had no way to stop them. I knew the HP wasn't going down but it still took me a while to realize those were beneficial, and that there was only 1 projectile monster in the game.
Overall I definitely wanted to play this game from start to end. Very addictive, and in my winning run I actually didn't have any duplicate upgrades (where 1 weapon replaced another) so it really made me wonder how strong my character could get. Awesome job, engaging game!

Love the oppressive feeling at the beginning, enemies challenge your abilities and your upgrades genuinely shift the odds. Its fun to see your choices have effect. The breaks with the upgrade select ask for strategy while the gameplay begs for reflexes and positioning utilizing both skill and wit.

Totally love the game. The art is well done empesizing the shootng/fighting effects (those are handled really well), with all the destruction that gives you a big satisfaction. Love to see how elegantly you have managed to display the difficulty of each enemy by simply changing the color, which gives player very clear indication what he is facing, and yet it allows you to build up the difficulty and not spending time with additional art on new enemies. Love this entry, one of the bests I have seen so far! Also great take on the theme! Only thing, I would love to see how that Spring of Life looks like, but I´ll leave that to my imagination for now ;) Thank you for this experience

aaaaa i love the polish on this one-- funnily enough i just love the vibes the intro gives off (all around the color palette throughout the game is super attractive) -- and the entry that follows absolutely does not! like not only does the game just look and feel great to play front to back-- the upgrade system is super well executed and really enjoyably diverse- i love it all!

Hey, great game! i thought it was very polished, had good sound, graphic, challenge and gameplay! Bunch of life in the whole game, and destroying everything was very satisfying! For feedback, i thought the exp and "level up" were confusing, For a long time I thought the "xp" balls were attacks and I was confused. (downside of the limited pallete) and the choose up menu appeared after what seemed like a death/hurt animation, so I thought I was dying! Finally I wish the attacked stacked! with my offensive focus I only picked offensive upgrades (exceot speed) So it kept on being a new way of attack that wasn't necessarily an upgrade. In my last wave, I happened to pick 3 shots, and I feel it was a pretty bad one (or maybe enemies had gotten strong) and I nearly died!
Personal story aside, it's a strong entry! Good job

Man, great game! Like the art and sound and it also feels satisfying. But I didn't like how one upgrade just might replace a previous one, as it makes the previous choise feel like a lost choice. I guess it would be better, if they would upgrade each other. And as the previous comments mentioned, some effects like the XP orbs look like attacks and the transition into the upgrade menu like a dying animation. But yea, overall this is one of my favorite games so far!
EDIT: Oh and I forgot to mention, the intro and tutorial is just great. I also liked to be able to skip it when replaying.
It is a very well done game. Both the gameplay, the art and the music are very good. Upgrades are well-stocked and full. I found the game easy, but very fun. I drank a lot!
Congratulations!
Really cool game, I had a bunch of fun with all the upgrades and the art is great!
