That was sweet! I loved that intro and all those sweet transitions. You could of course expand on the gameplay a bit, but you guys have a real knack for timing and atmosphere. Well done!

binsou 2019-10-08 03:47

That was cool, but def left me wanting to do something what I'd created. The atmosphere was awesome.

coleslaughter 2019-10-08 03:55

Unf, I loved the visual effects here. That intro sequence definitely set my expectations high. I wish there was more to do in the game but as a cohesive whole, this is definitely very polished.

rayne 2019-10-08 04:05

Thanks for your comments! You can follow us for updates after the jam~

roque 2019-10-08 04:27

Really nice sound effects, simple graphics but also liked them. Awesome visual effects tho, a little Superhot'sh. Nice entry!

2019-10-08 12:26

Cute little game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 45 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/jQitKM0J6Yc

sageware 2019-10-08 17:56

Whoa, this was trippy! You said we have a similar concept in the beginning, but your beginning is like the reverse and it is super cool! Love the graphics and sound. The ending scared the crap out of me. I think this concept was very unique and I hope you continue with it. I'd love to see additional levels.

rayne 2019-10-08 18:07

Thanks for playing!

nachtwitch 2019-10-08 18:43

Very interesting game, have you considered going professional?

rayne 2019-10-08 18:47

@nachtwitch I don't know, is that a job or collab offer? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

nachtwitch 2019-10-08 18:49

@rayne sadly, it is neither. I am only stating that the game looks really good and I believe you have the skills to start either your own studio ot join another

palemek 2019-10-08 18:52

That was trippy indeed. REALLY finely polished 1 minuter that left us wondering what would happen next if the game would be a bit longer. Mood and sounds are really cool, quite an experience.

zakamana 2019-10-08 18:59

I don't know what these signs are, but my cat went crazy when they started dancing on the screens. Fun entry, good job :)

cax 2019-10-08 19:14

Very nice game :)

jayometric 2019-10-08 19:14

Such cool effects! Is there a unique symbol for every letter? Very cool concept, had me hooked for more!

rayne 2019-10-08 19:20

@jayometric There is! We got the amazing font from the game Sprykski, which was available for use :)

player21 2019-10-08 19:30

WOW! That was cool!

terribly-awesome-games 2019-10-08 20:03

Loved the symbols and enjoyed how you captured the concept of atoms/information bouncing together at the beginning of the universe!

nisovin 2019-10-08 20:09

Pretty cool concept here. I was a bit confused at first because it didn't feel like anything was happening, and in the second part I just typed every letter until I got it. Cool effects and stuff.

alphish 2019-10-08 20:43

The first level reminded me of Hacker Typer. The second level reminded me of these puzzles where you have to interact with elements in a specific order, except here it wasn't as much about the order. The third level reminded me of this Jam theme, because there was none.

Either way, that was short but fun trip. I hoped for more levels, because it seems like one of these riddle games (like dozens of ways to "find a button" or "paint everything black"). I kinda liked the audiovisuals and funky symbols, too.

grhyll 2019-10-08 20:45

That was... intriguing :D Cool atmosphere, a nice short experience :)

unicorn-studios 2019-10-09 02:02

Cool concept, well executed!

superpaltus 2019-10-09 08:39

Wow! I loved the aesthetics and general concept. Wish it was longer though. Great work, man!

bootak 2019-10-09 18:27

Well... Okay) That was something) I liked the "glitch" effect at the end. I was trying to figure out which world I can build from all the letters I typed to "activate" all the planets only to find that letter combination is random and different each time :)

feko 2019-10-09 18:41

Feels like an intro to a great story/universe. Lots of potential for puzzles, world building and story telling. Did not expect the effect for the simulation start and was surprised by it, but also intrigued. Cool short game nonetheless.

local-minimum 2019-10-09 19:01

I demand you make more! I want to see where you take this. The sound and dramatic design was really great in each of the little episodes, but it needed more to build a general story arch (where I mean story very loosely). It felt like there was a lot of power in the pieces you put forward together, but as a total experience it didn't fully get there. I really enjoyed it though!

skdf 2019-10-09 19:14

I 100% did not understand how I beat the game so I can't really talk about the gameplay (just mashed the keyboard and boom over), but everything else is top notch! I join everyone above me :)

rayne 2019-10-09 19:29

Thanks for all your positive feedback!

detectivelosos 2019-10-09 23:31

Funnily enough I actually started coding for real(alas blindly) when the game asked me to. So in the end my Universe contained one public class called Duck and one and a half finished methods called Quack and Walk. I guess that's more then enough for the entire Universe to be generated out of.

This is a fun and beautifully made concept especially considering that like half the people playing your game would be programmers and would type in some actual code :D

velvetlobster 2019-10-09 23:59

very different game concept, never played something like this, although i dont know if i got it fully. The effects are well done and the typewriter cutscenes have a lot of potential

hiroboto 2019-10-10 07:11

impressive and complete concept though I think I didn;t understand it thoroughly.also the art style is neat and nice, I like it

iak 2019-10-10 12:01

Hurr. I couldn't possibly pass up on a game named "rubber duck genesis".

Will you turn this into a full puzzle game? Because that could be cool. You certainly put together some cool pieces in this concept, though we didn't really get to use them for anything yet. Needs more ducks.

sergio1811 2019-10-10 14:05

Good effects in animation and shaders, but gameplay it's a bit strange, i'd like the concept though

kuviman 2019-10-10 17:57

Kill the keyboard and you win in 1 second) nice game, has potential for making a good puzzle

rayne 2019-10-10 21:55

Thanks for your kind comments! @iak there'll definitely be more ducks

ninjacatz 2019-10-15 19:16

The game is very short, but the graphic implementation and effects are made as if on a professional level. I do not know why, but it reminded me of the game FEZ.

rayne 2019-10-16 05:37

Thanks for playing! @ninjacatz Nice Jill profile picture btw

mknooihuisen 2019-10-16 20:10

Interesting concept. If there was any problem it was that I got distracted trying to "code" and missed some of the game

ashtrail 2019-10-19 09:31

Cool visual effects (especially the intro) !

grahamax 2019-10-28 23:37

Trippy as heck, would like to see this taken further.
