This was cool, the upgraded flying element was a nice touch and means added puzzle ability! Nice art style as well  Good job

It seemed like there was basically no way to get past linking with the other robot without dying, unless I shouldn't have even gone into that room in the first place? I really liked the concept of this game, though, and the music was actually really excellent.
This game has amazing audio! I love how mush attention was given to everything, even the doors creaking open. Clearly a lot of care went into the visuals and dialogue as well.
Gameplay was linear, and the end came far too soon. I wish you guys had had more time to flesh it out! I would play a longer version of SHIPWRE-KT if only to listen to more lovely tunes.
Just as @kristinamay I also failed to disconnect from the other robot :/ I liked the idea of using your battery to power up other things, UI and music were nice as well.
Short and sweet, nice game. I wish the robot would say *beep* more often (I got a chuckle out of that).
That thing at the ending infuriated - and delighted me! (I won't spoil it for anyone else, haha.) This seemingly simple game made me feel epic emotions. I wish the game was longer, and chock full of experiences just like that. Great job!
I guess I subtly Rickrolled at the end of the game but except that I liked the game. It's a bit short but that expectable in a jam game.
The art and audio were very much to my likings! Unfortunately the window was too tall and I couldn't really read the dialogue though. I wish it would have been longer as it felt like it ended too soon but of course the length is to be expected from a jam game. Enjoyed the gameplay regardless and had fun while it lasted!
Thank you everyone for the helpful and encouraging feedback so far!!
@kristinamay & @yazara our apologies, I think you experienced a bug that we found but had difficulty replicating/fixing. You don't need to detatch, but randomly the hit area for the final door would sometimes not appear, leaving you to wonder WTF happened until your battery drained :( Sorry again about that. But if you want to see the end, try the door again, as most of the time, the hit area and hover states will appear.
As some have said, yes, 'not enough time' was our theme this Jam. We had a lot of ideas and interactions that we had to strip. This was my first point and click adventure game, and now I know how much work it entails! Not trying to make an excuse of course, I am still happy with what we have accomplished, but, yes, we totally hear you about the length and linearity of the game, as we had many more complexities we had intended to include.
... Some of the things we started but were not able to complete, if anyone's curious: a level you go backwards through instead of a loop; many doors that dont open, to hide the ones that do; lockers that spend energy to open, with all empty except the one LB-ZD would hide in; videos for the cut scenes instead of static imagery; menus and other detailed UI to match the style; more sound effects, like angry beeping, haha; more dialog with a romantic subplot (and more beeps); the game level itself, such as a broken fire escape for the zig-zag area of the stage.
Love the art, raelly moody game!
Well after 4 times not being able to get out and dying while flying, I made it haha And I got rickrolled somehow xD I did not fully get the point of the game to be honest, I read you didn't have all the time you would have needed to complete everything, which is sad because I like it so far! There's a good mood, the audio is great, I don't especially like the art but it is not bad. Simple thing : you can't click on object that are behind the robot sprite !
Good entry, hope you'll keep on working on it !
Making your own graphics is really satifying, i'm a dev who has to do is own graphics and i don't draw, most of the work i just needed to have a good choice of color so i learn what a color palette was and i needed everything to fit together so i learned what a moodboard was and for the rest i basicly needed to have a good taste and it's preatty easy to learn that from others when there doing such amazing works, well played, good day!
Really nice game and innovative idea. I wanna see more of Katies mysterious island adventure. Keep going!
Omg, wow, well you have got something here! And this game-page look amazing as well! I'm impressed, speechless. Wow. Good luck, I hope to see you in the next jam.
Great game. I was expecting just a basic point and click game, but this is much more! I loved the "pick whip" control, the dialogs and the graphics, expecially the island. I'm also a programmer trying to create my graphics and you did a great job in such a short time!
Short but cute, I want to see more adventures of these two
Really cute story and art! Having custom music is also a huge plus and added to the overall feel.
I did encounter a couple glitches, mostly from clickable options being unresponsive. I dealt with that mostly on the hidden hatch, but after a refresh I was able to get through just fine!
I like the premise a lot, and I think there's a lot of fun stories you can tell with these characters! Can't wait to see if you guys keep going with this idea!
Nice, the first point=and=click I've played this LD! Agree that the character designs are fun and cute. Perhaps the pretend cursing might get a little *too* much if happens too often, but that can be workshopped.
Standout thing for me are the tunes, love the title and the lab music. Also really like the dithered 3D scenes for the cutscenes, adds some flavor when mixed with the 2D gameplay.
kudos for the early MacOS/GEOS UI look and feel! There must be pretty advanced firmware in that little robot ;)
Very nice! I love the old-school Mac visuals. The music was fantastic too.
Oh wow this was great! The graphics and audio are fantastic. It's very cute and fun to play through. I did run into the bug of clickable objects not responding to interaction but restarting fixed it for me.
Really great overall, nice work! :D
Hey great game! I came here after we talked in twitch chat of CearkaLarue. Definitely interesting game with really nice potential! Some points to help you improve the game : Fill the black wall with something; add an idle animation for the robot. My regards to the sound artist ;)
"I detect weapons. Maybe I can blast the door open". I like your thinking, robot. Haha. Cool set of rooms/level areas, I liked floating around on that other robot thing.
I think some of the clickable objects could be more obvious (can be easy for your character to cover them before you noticed them), and the first entrance object you click didn't work after respawning once I won, but otherwise it played well.
Yay, all charged up:

Didn't expect to get RickRolled by a LD game..... Or wasn't I supposed to spoil it? Don't kill me please :p The art was really nice! Could have some more real gameplay though, like having to make decisions or shooting something, but all by all, great job!
