Great idea! But the scoring at the end seems bugged? It says chicken twice

@paperjack yes the ending score was bugged, fixed it in the post jam version though!
Love it! Nice work!
Awesome game! Sound, art and gameplay are good. Really nice work!
Haha, I like your black humor ;) The game looks really nice and plays well. Good job!
Awesome! Using the trolley problem was genius =)
Great job!
I really liked the theme, art, and camera shake. Though I think it could have been made into a really good puzzle game if you were _forced_ to kill everyone in order to beat the level. (or to avoid everyone) I think that would have added a lot more interesting gameplay and gives you a more specific goal.
Finally, a game where morals are challenged. Enjoyed the aesthetics and game feel!
Nice chickens :D
Absolutely amazing game, I love the artstyle, the gameplay and the idea behind it!!! 5/5 On everything!!!
@cmsparks well to go with the sacrifice theme at least one has to die. There are multiple endings depending on whether you minimize or maximize though! Thanks for playing!
Really like the art style, well done!
WOW cool work, nice game.
It just would be great to see the goal once in the beginning of the game. But next to that, it's a real cool game.
Great work, keep going.
Great game once again! It's pretty brutal and violent though lol. Nice puzzle game where you have to think fast! Thanks for sharing this amazing game and very great looking art. The music is really cute too and great sound effects. What did you use to make the music?
You killed it my dude. Like always. Amazing work and awesomely fun! :)
Great game but wish there was a button to fast-forward to skip through the boring parts of not killing anyone
Epic and fun. Professional review. Nothing more to say.
Pretty funny game! I liked the design of the puzzles too.
@akusan used LMMS, which is free and pretty easy to get a simple tune together.
@sempiternal great suggestion! I knew I was forgetting something.
Just WOW 0-0
Pretty nice game! I'd wish I'd have more time to change tracks before the trolley arrived. Or see the whole map in level 3, as I didn't know where I was sending it.
Okay, first of all, im disappointed for not a opportunity wasted of implementing multitrack-drifting

That said, amazing graphics and sounds, nice and easy to understand gameplay and very cool to see classic moral dilemmas in a game.
Im impressed that you implemented a full operational game with this quality in the compo timeframe. Outstanding job!
This was great. It felt a little slow at times, but then the next moment you're frantically scrambling to figure out how to adjust to being on a "bad" path. The impacts with the various people/chickens/etc felt great, which sounds horrible to say. Loved the dark humor mixed with the timeless moral dilemma. Great job!
Another train game! Yay. Also, yours were much better interpretation of the trolley problem than ours. It took me a death or two to figure out that the switches were not just switches but that according to the game the other track didn't exist. Perhaps that could have been made clearer by making the inactive track even fainter. I would also have liked to see the entire board at start, because having to make a strategy in the hopes of how the tacks would be off camera felt a bit unfair (even if they were as I was hoping).
@derek-volker had I known about this meme, I would've. I could've! Thanks for playing!
@sketchycode yes that guilty feeling was what I was going for, lol!
@pablodap yeah the zoomed in camera and not showing the whole map was a little intentional, as I wanted the player to make life-or-death decisions with limited information (although that point was probably a little too subtle and came across as unfair though).
@local-minimum point above, and agree that the inactive tracks could be more transparent! I thought yours was the cutest implementation of the trolley problem I've seen so far though!
Your game was played on my stream ( https://www.twitch.tv/ursagames/videos ) on the fourth day of Ludum Dare streams. Thank you for sharing your game with us! You can find the timestamp of when your game was played here: https://goo.gl/N2rkr8
This was a well put together game. It was challenging, but every time I completed a level I got a nice rush of satisfaction. The low poly graphics are pretty good as well.
It has some useful philosophical points that can be brought out about moral luck and one's ability to do the right thing. Most people think that the right thing to do in the basic track-changing trolley problem is to follow the consequentialist reasoning. Assuming that is true, we may be put into situations where our own abilities make it difficult to do the right thing. For example, I might not be a quick enough thinker to rearrange the tracks in the right way to kill only one person instead of five. I might just be in the unlucky situation of having to do the wrong action.
Very well made and an interesting spin on a well known "problem". I think this is a good base for a larger puzzle game. Well done!
Equal parts disturbing and amusing. Absolutely hilarious. I await the mobile version so I can mow down pedestrians with my Trolley of Death at my whim. Side note: definitely include a Daniel Tiger trolley skin as a bonus.

Amazing project with a neat aesthetic and an unusual gameplay. Music is relaxing too. You did a solid entry. Thank you ++
Nice entry! And the ending is so fun :)
Everything is good but as I can't stop myself from saying what is not as good as the overall game: maybe the cam shake is too heavy, and too bad that the hover effect on the track is not more integrated and clean.
But damn it's good anyway :)
Art is fantastic, love the ragdolls when you hit the people. Music it surprisingly fits the game. And good use of the theme, but it would be fun to have an objective either sacrifice as little people as possible or try to kill all, felt a bit of a sandbox rather than a game. Good job.
So basically I am unfit to drive. The carnage! Really good and original take on the theme. I loved it. I comes from a Good Place!
I tried to kill as much as I could. It was pretty fun. I had no idea if I would be rewarded or punished for killing? Am I a villain now?
I killed everyone except one puny human who was standing alone that I couldn't figure out how to get to and also kill everyone else. So 7 people killed, 17 chickens.
Great job, all things considered - would have been nice to have a speed meter to be able to speed up the game at times, or the ability to zoom out so I could plan out how to dole out my maximum carnage before the level starts. Otherwise, really fun.
Interesting game! The graphics and audio are really nice! And I like these kind of games hehehehe....
@ursagames thanks for streaming, your twitch was a blast to watch as well (and thanks for the steam keys as well!)
@move127 thanks for appreciating the semi-philosophical aspects of this, there's some argument about having incomplete information and then having things down to luck which throws a spanner into the whole discussion, and retrying the whole scenario again (resulting in more deaths!)
@jfraser314 that's an idea lol - had to google Daniel Tiger. :scream_cat:
@geckoo1337 thanks for checking out the game, music wasn't intended to be too relaxing though
@badpaul34 thanks for feedback, looking to improve in any way!
@digitaldude555 you would have different endings depending on whether you sacrificed the minimum or maximum (you'd know by the different ending messages to each stage)
@arron-fowler that's why we have brakes in real life. Glad you appreciated the Good Place reference, that episode inspired this game!
@aurel if you kill everyone there's a special ending (and if you minimize the deaths another ending). Planning to put in the ability to fast forward stuff. Thanks for playing and your kind yet disturbing comments :smiling_imp:
@kypello thanks for playing and glad you liked it
just played your game on stream - thanks for your submission! see you next LD!
Now that's a game without compromise! I really enjoyed the simple and intuitive mechanics and had some fun trying to avoid killing anyone — and failing miserably ;) Here's how that went: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTeUPXVSPps
Awesome game! You made a classic dilemma into a game and stick to the theme. I love the slow-motion effect when hitting people or chickens! Really impressive work in compo!
WOW the legendary @philstrahl! Thanks for streaming my game!
Thanks @firesplash-entertainment for streaming my game as well and see you next LD too!
Hey Random__phantom! Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my livestream!

Well that was fun ! Tried to kill everything on my first run, and was glad to be greeted by this deadly ending :D Nice job in your handling of the tutorial. Impressive result for a compo entry, well done o/
My first thought when I saw the theme was to make a game based on the trolley problem, but I couldn't work out how to make it tasteful. Turns out the answer was chickens!
