An interesting game! I quite liked the music and the visuals were appealing.
I really loved your take on the theme, as well as the idea of unicorns partying hard !
Pros : - Controls are clear and functional (that is, until the unicorn has had too much of that unicorn-brewed stuff) - Fun gameplay loop - Extremely beautiful and colorful visuals - Great music - Funny context and presentation
Cons : - Puking is a fun mechanic, but it would be even better to be able to anticipate it - The camera is a little far from the action
All in all, great work !
So this game is about a unicorn...getting drunk...but it's set in candy land...but it's not snowing...and there's rave music playing???? It's quite a funny concept. :laughing: Maybe not exactly my kind of humour, but I did get some enjoyment out of the unicorn DJing in the background. That's my favourite character in this game. :rofl:
I like the idea of the goal being to collect drinks, but the more you collect, the more drunk you get. I take it this means that you have to time your shots so that you're not drinking too much at once. One thing that really confused me was that there appeared to be no way to die or complete the game. I noticed that there is only multiplayer, but I wasn't able to put in a second player, at least in the web version. But I could still play the game as a single player and get revived every time I fell off the map or collapsed.
There is a huge delay in the music when it loops, and I'm not sure if that's intentional (maybe to imply the DJ switching songs? :stuck_out_tongue: ). As for the music, I suppose it's fitting enough for a rave. But the graphics and the music weren't really coming together for me. I did like the sound effects - they were quite funny, however, when you get more unicorns in the playing arena and they're all making the same sound effects as you, it starts to become extremely grating when all those sound effects stack up against each other.
Overall, I just...don't think this game was for me. Although I do appreciate seeing multiplayer games pop up in Ludum Dare. :thumbsup:
Whoa ideas and art just really interesting. Made me kinda wish it was a more narrative based games because all these ideas were so cool. Or at least more clues of the narrative while i was running around getting drunk. Sound clips, someone talking over the game to tell me what's going on. Also, I found the unicorn really visually appealing I think that'd catch more clicks than your current thumbnail.

Very interesting game, art work is nice and audio is funny. However, I couldn't figure out the keyboard controls. Didn't seem like a character had spawn that I could control or controls were not responding.
This game was made on drugs... So much drugs. But it was funny ^^

Lol, that's very hilarious. I like to mention a very good physics system. When I noticed that you can actually spoil other's progress the game changed a lot. So I was literally messing with other unicorns :^)
That's a very brave move to create a multiplayer game for LD, though.
@darkguardsman you need to add a character at the character selection with space, then you press enter to start the game :)
There's a lot of nice touches to your game: The intro music, the game transition animations, the facecam at the bottom left, the fact that you can move clouds. The only thing is that i am unsure about the endgoal - is it Drink as much as you can? Is it specifically for multiplayer? Do you take damage in this game/ is there a health system?

Pretty Fun. In fact it was pretty and fun! I enjoyed beating the others to the beverages, but after a while it seemed the AI was getting a bit sluggish and it was pretty easy then. When the music ended it seemed to just go on with no obvious end point. Felt a bit unfinished, and my eyes kept trying to focus on the blurry stuff too! Great beginning!

The title card is great, I love the font/name art. The graphics in the game are also very nice - as someone else mentioned, having a closer view to the action would have been nice, to see that beautiful art.
I thought the title screen, which then transitioned to a quick instruction then start options was done very well. That alone was worth watching a few times! I also like the liquid sloshing inside the unicorn you were able to achieve, very nice effect.
Music and sound effects were also excellent, I was jamming out to the tunes as I roamed around drinking.
I too wasn't sure about the endgoal, I never reached any type of success/score/completion screen. I did have fun enjoying the rest of what you put into this, but I wasn't sure if I ever "won" or even could win.

A funny game that gets pretty crazy XD You should really add a download link for the music cos that stuff was lit! Maybe the sfx should be toned down tho lol, when there's loads of them on screen it gets to the point you can't even hear the music. Maybe the objectives of the game should be made a little more clear as well.
This game was so cool, and so well done. Even on single player it was still fun and challenging. I loved the music and the art style, and just the general idea of the game and everything. It was a blast to play on stream and try to win with all the AI running around trying to knock me over.

A really awesome game with the best the music I have ever encountered in an LD game :) The Web version is a bit laggy though.

@tigerj Thanks glad you enjoyed it, we have talked about twitch intergration and we might add that in the future, but it won't be in the first patch that is coming up
Had fun playing your game! It was pretty hard actually, and I reached a point where everybody was punching each others or throwing up everywhere, I hope I'll never be in one of these parties IRL hahaha! It took me some time to realise the take on the theme but it's original! Graphics and audio are really great, especially for a jam. Great job!

I had no idea what was going on and I loved it.
Art & music & atmosphere were all great. Would have enjoyed some world-building or narrative to go with it, but it's understandable if there was no time in a gamejam.
