Sweet puzzle game, to bad there wasn't more levels.

Awesome idea! It *was* a little confusing to learn how to use the elevators (and other machines) as the directions weren't very clear. I always love a game that utilizes size to perceive depth.

Nice puzzle game @digitaldude555,

I enjoyed the mechanics and the arts were simple and clean  As KabalaTrance said I'd love to see more content. But with a little more time and work you can build a really cool game!

Good job mate!

Wish there would be more levels as I enjoyed this a lot! Nice art and I really liked how the elevators are made. My only complaint is that I wish you could interact with buttons using your keyboard. Having to click your mouse in this situation has no practical use, honestly. :(

Fun game, i would like to see some more levels that make more use of the puzzles you already have in place. But overall fun game and potential to expand is there as well :)

Made me tilted a bit , but fun game overall :)

Not digging the artstyle but the gameplay was interesting. I ended up wishing it was longer

Very cool game! It’s a little too short but it's understandable. In a future version I would love to see more levels and music!

Great concept with the varying levels of depth.

Nice little puzzler. Good concept. Needs more everything, music/sound, art, and especially levels! Fun game, though!

Some interesting ideas in here! I'd have liked to have seen it expanded further, perhaps combining your existing puzzle elements with a bit of backtracking so the player is presented with something to solve, rather than a straight path to the exit, good work though!

Nice consistent art and sound coming together to get a good aesthetic feel here. The main character felt alive, the little sound effect and the size wobble give the simple square good character.

I played to the end of this, some nice ideas about simple physical puzzles.

I have a few pain points I hit that I'll go over - I hope this is helpful feedback:

- The sliding after I let go of the button was tough. It was the first thing I noticed and it felt like my control was loose and sloppy, but then combined with the lack of walls and the pit deaths this became the primary challenge of the game. I think it's not a great feel to have the challenge come from the controls, but maybe that's just taste?

- I didn't care for having to use the mouse to click the buttons. I never figured it out ingame, and had to ESC out of full screen to read the instructions. A button press, or even just bumping into a switch to activate might be worth considering. The mouse served no other purpose. You could also have been more generous on the mouse hitbox, I often clicked, thought I hit the switch, but it didn't register.

- The full restart from the beginning may have been okay because the game was short. But it takes time to operate the elevator and having to do it many times worse me down a little.

None of this means it's bad, it's a solid entry that felt really complete! Just sharing my pain points.

I WIN! It is so great when there is some sort of achievement on a game! Wish there were more levels. Graphics... they needed help but the puzzles were super fun! Great little game! keep it up!

Traditonal puzzle game combined with some action elements, well done!

The game is overall a fine LD game, but I found the difficulty level to be a bit high. The graphics is simple and good. I would really have liked some music, and/or some more sound effects. I would really like to see a more polished version of this game, and I would also have liked a bit more levels.

mcjammydodger 2017-05-12 15:42

I enjoyed the game. It was short but the few levels in it were fun.

I think the graphics could be changed slightly to make them clearer.

This would make a great game if more levels and obstacles were to be added. Good job!

Overall an Okay game.

Controls weren't very clear and was stuck on stage 2 clicking spacebar/enter and standing on the button for longer thinking its those timed buttons things. Had to read the comments to figure out it was mouse click. The different levels of depth/size definitely stood out. Though I feel this could be improved by making it have more meaning as right now it basically functions as a typical door. Maybe make it change the player size or something.

Current difficulty is very easy for me. After I figured out the controls, each stage took less than a minute. Edit: After reading the other comments, I may not be a good reference point as I play Touhou pretty often.

Wish there were more levels and difficulties. Perhaps a timer/score for speedrun purposes.

Nice little game...

Mouse clicks takes a while to be accepted, so it's probably better to have keyboard or just touch to have it operated.

When you finished a level and the next one starts, the "player square" keeps its speed, so it dies instantly. It might be better to set the speed back to 0 at level start.

noddingtortoise 2017-05-12 15:51

Cool game, I liked the graphical style and felt that it had a nice variety of puzzles. However, I feel that the controls could do with some tightening, in the first puzzle I kept sliding of the side when trying to dodge the bullet which was frustrating, though this could be a design choice. Overall, well done!

tuomo 2017-05-14 12:38

Overall your game is really enjoyable. I wish you had made the puzzles bit harder. All the elements for interesting puzzle design are there but levels are tad too straightforward. I have to agree other commenters that mouse clicking wasn’t most intuitive control for elevator. More polish and level design and you have great game!
