love the game like this which have nice idea from different vision and with art spirit...really thank you, it gives me great inspiration. (also congratulations for your first LD work) cheers!
Thank you! I really appreciate your kind words!
When a game makes someone look for "I love America and America likes me" to know what it is you know the game's work is already done.
A very interesting and unique experience that knows how to make a performance that some would find pretentious accesible through gameplay.
Congratulations!
really nice!! has a really dark feeling to it! good job!
unusual
Nice job, well done for your first LD! The cello music is really good.
I think you should add some button to see the controls or add them here in the instructions, I had to restart the game twice to check all controls lol
Except for the controls being hard to remember and hence confusing to use, a very unique entry in this LD, good work!
A cultural drop, really liked it.
But I couldn't figure out how to hug the Coyote...
Very interesting, but I couldn't quite figure it out. The coyote really didn't want to hug me.
Strange to say the least, but it was an interesting exercise trying to figure the game out.
I just want to connect with someone, even a Coyote!
The music makes me feel comfortable.
Cool concept (art). More animations for Joseph, please.
It looks really good, reminds me of Gods will be watching.
I didn't manage to hug it though :(
unusual game I could not find a way to win, good work on the compo entry.
A little bit weird. Couldn't figure out how to hug the coyote. Very artsy, great atmosphere!
I appreciate the level of art and programming that went into this. I don't think I would call it a game; It's more of an interactive art piece to me. The music is entertaining and at just the right level of interest to keep it from grating after playing for a while. Good job!
Awesome art! This is very unique and original, good job.
Amazing to see good old Beuys starring in a game. That's probably what he'd be up to today, were he still alive. Love the concept, love the game, and love the experience. Very strong first entry!
love the artstyle.
Agreed, very interesting cultural representation, and the mechanics of the game certainly were entertaining, even if the controls were hard to remember. Fun to tinker with, and generally a great use of the theme, while simultaneously making it your own. Nice work.
Yay, finally hugged him. I was streaming this last night and someone made fun of me saying, "no hugs for you". I am glad I came back and tried again.
I hadn't heard of Joseph Beuys before, but playing this has lead to my further reading about him, if partially in the hopes of finding out how he hugged the coyote! (Which I still haven't managed to do)
This was interesting. I really love the game and ended up doing some reading into Mr Beuys. The building of the mood in this game is so good. Although I'm not sure I fully understand the underlying mechanics, this was a really interesting and thought provoking experience.
For a first LD, you did pretty good! And it's really something to recreate a performance artist's act. I believe you did a pretty good job recreating the experiment. It looks simple, but it's also deep. :)
I liked the overall style of the graphics. The strings in the soundtrack also really set the mood in the game, nice job with it!
The basic controls are also really good, at first I though the character was a tad slow, but in the end, the way he moves fits the concept more this way.
I felt the pace of the game was a tad slow the first time I played, but it kinda helps you feel a bit of what was like to be in that performance, making the coyote get used to you in there and etc. :)
Great job! :D
Really unique game. It's the third game I check in this LD, and I really hope there are more LD games just as unique as this. And now I'm going to read more nore about Joseph Beuys.
Oh, and I love the music.
Unique concept turned into a great game, everything is great, graphics are very interesting, music is fitting, mechanics are on point and the game itself has a very unique kinda strange vibe that I definitely like. Like many other I couldn't hug the coyote even after some 15-20 minutes, care to drop some tips?
The atmosphere is great, and concept excellent! Great job and props for recording the music yourself.
Nice work! Other art is a sadly under-explored place to grab game ideas.
