May 2 16:18:12 In Defense of Pickles ♥ 1 I like your game! The visuals and music design seem very solid! I also like how the controls are layed out, its a "pick up and go game" :-) Some feedback/questions I've got: - right now you made it impossible to fall off the truck, that could have been a nice additional hazard - the soundeffect for damaging the truck sounds very realistic, how did you make that?
May 2 16:29:32 11m 20s Deliwar ♥ 5 Cool! I just played your game for a bit. Firstoff: congratz on your first LD entry! I see that you were part of a big team. Did you have fun? Sadly, once in a while I get an error. You can check it here, as the stacktrace is very long: https://pastebin.com/yd5L8W62 Some feedback/questions I've got for you: - I don't see any reference of why the rain is important. I tried togging it, expecting the boxes to soak, or the robots to fry. But there does not seem to be anything changing. The effect is awesome though! It is the only control mentioned in-game, so I thought it was a key mechanic. - The buidling you warrior part is very original and deservers some innovation points, very well done!
May 2 16:45:03 15m 31s Drone Delivery ♥ 1 I like your game, I had fun playing it. Some feedback/questions I've got for you :-) - Quora filled sound effect sounds like a game-over screen - Charge is refilled after delivering a package? - Is there any way of restoring health? - Pointers are nice, and I like how the "home base" does not have a pointer. That way the player has to remind the route back. - I don't like the music in the tutorial level. It makes it for me hard to concentrate on the explaination. Also, the font is fine for buttons and titles, but hard to read for large amount of text, like the tutorial. I like how you split the tutorial up. And that you made all the levels playable. That is clever - I like how you can just drop packages to make a quick escape from the bezosguys. Also, very cool that the buildings can be used as shields!
May 2 19:27:42 2h 42m Contraband ♥ 0 Sweet short game! Some feedback I've got: - I like the setting it is set in. It gives stuff to think about - The packages blend too well with the background. At first I did not see the package and flew past it. Once you know, you know and that little detail did not bother me after learning that. - The controls of the drone are well defined and solid - I like the background graphics and their paralaxing effect - The sound effects are cool too, it really feels like a distopian future - The story element was cool, but the text appeared way too slow for me on the screen. That could have been more sped-up. Or maybe a button to make it appear all at once. - The last level I accidently discovered a whole new world above the level. I went back to the first level to see if it was there too. But there wasn't. Maybe some indicator that that world was there would benefit your game, as people will more easily finish it.
May 2 19:59:33 31m 51s Rain Sleet Zombies ♥ 1 I'm not good at this game haha, I had fun though! I did not really know what 'the other side' would be, so I started walking, never got very far though, the zombees are fast indeed!
May 2 20:15:32 15m 59s Don't Send Me a Puddle ♥ 1 Very clever! The title is intriguing and the puzzle-like gameplay is very polisched and solid. The backgroundmusic is a banger! I loved it! It reminded me a lot of this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xy37XdAwH_A (don't know if you like metal, in case you do: enjoy ^^") This game scores high in innovation-land! Not yet played a game as innovative as this one this Ludum Dare.
May 2 20:28:37 13m 05s Storky McStorkface Express ♥ 1 Had lots of fun playing yours! The sound effects are fun and quircy! The music is acctually a banger! How did you make that? Edit: i see that your friend made it. Big compliments to your friend 😄 Edit2: glad to see that the hat made it into the game!
May 3 16:50:02 20h 21m Air Delivery ♥ 2 This game is so polished, that I can see my own refelection! One word: wouw! I love your game! The story elements, the way packages progress the story and contain something useful for the next part is very clever. I adore the graphics. <3
May 3 18:46:40 1h 56m The Overlooker ♥ 2 I consider this a classic Geckoo game. The style is very unique! I like it a lot, and the game really put a smile on my face. It gets complex very fast! Great job!
May 3 18:56:03 9m 23s Deliverz ♥ 2 Wouw, a lot of work and love has been put into this one. What a fun game, the world feels very open and well put together. Some feedback I've got: The phone system feels very nice, although a hint for closing the map would have been nice. The music is a masterpiece, how did you make that?
May 3 19:35:16 39m 13s Heart-Warming Deliveries ♥ 2 Yess! I figured out all 13 of them! That was a fun game! The graphics, sound, puzzles and feel are top notch. The difficulty curve felt right too, with the exception of the 4th level, I was stuck there a long time. It teached a valueable lesson though! Well done!
May 3 19:52:07 16m 51s Mouth Feel ♥ 3 wouw what a fun game! I wasn't that good at it, but the cheesy soap-like story made it so hilarous! "i'm in love with your wife" :'-)
May 3 19:55:47 3m 40s Pizza Rush ♥ 4 I like your game, it is an easy concept for late night gaming :-) The controls feel way too floaty though, there could have been more solidness in there I think. The time preasure is a nice addition!
May 3 20:08:09 12m 22s The Silver Fleet ♥ 1 Surprisingly entertaining game! The music is a banger! I love it! It gives energy to a game where you only press spacebar ^^" The yellow arrows are a smart addition, as I would not have figured out to grab the ropes or jump for cannon balls ^^ I was a bit confused when the game started over after winning
May 3 20:13:11 5m 02s Infobahn ♥ 1 wow! I saw someone getting over 1800 points? I never got further then 644 ^^" Great kittle game, I love the artstyle, I'm a sucker for these kinds of games ^^ Well done
May 4 18:32:52 22h 19m Game 1 ♥ 2 Wouw this was an experience! I had fun, although I'm not sure if I played it right. The game kept looping, maybe because the family throws a party every day? It kept saying I lost 0 memories, is that good? Sound design was very good, and the graphics are.. well I like the graphics, its cohesive and somehow fits this quircky game very well
May 4 18:48:40 15m 48s Culling Cards ♥ 3 I'm a sucker for these kinds of graphics! This looks very good! Especially the background graphics are beautyful. The music does not fit the game though, I somehow was expecting something dark and misterious. The gameplay is done very well, although I'm very bad at these kinds of games. So I did not come very far.
May 4 19:02:17 13m 37s PigeonPost ♥ 1 I'm not very good at this game (got stuck at the three falling balls), but I like it a lot! Simple case of easy to learn, hard to master! Sound effects are nice and the graphics are cute. I saw that the web build has some issues with level two, luckaly you fixed it in the executable. I love how all the packages and customers are diffrent. The story is pretty funny
May 4 19:12:48 10m 31s Hungerztec Games ♥ 1 @snory could you give some additional instructions? I really want to play this game properly, because I can see that you put a lot of work in this one. I see a lot of people say that they don't really understand the game, and I agree that there is not really an indictor who is who. Also, how do we set up multiplayer for instance? Love the art though! That is very well done! But maybe try to focus on playtesting with diffrent people who are close to you, so you can see where improvement needs to happen. Edit: for now I will give some initial ratings. When you tag me with some extra instructions/tips, I will try again ;-)
May 4 19:24:44 11m 56s Very Fast Food ♥ 1 Well, acctually this is fun for late-night gaming just before going to bed :) I wish there were some sound effects in this one. You can use tools like https://sfxr.me/ just keep pressing "randomize" until you hear something half-decent. It really adds a lot to the game. Also, the aiming part is cool, but there is no incetive to aim more than once per level. Maybe the points could have been tied to the traveltime of the package. Then it really makes a diffrence if you do a high arc, or a low pass if you know what I mean. Nice addition to include an arrow for when the package leaves the screen. I think it was easier to play the game using that feature.
May 4 19:41:51 17m 07s Mission: Programmable ♥ 0 What a fun game! This game gains so many points for innovation! The graphics and music are fun too, I destroyed half the building, but there wasn't and end trigger I guess. I think opening the box at the top was the end, and the rest was bonus I guess?
May 5 18:27:24 22h 45m Popcorn Odyssey ♥ 1 Tonight I start my feedback session with your game. I heard my girlfriend giggle and excitement when she was playing yours, so I really wanted to try your game earlier (normally I first play games from new LDers and then I play games from people I follow/am friends with on the platform) O:-) I like your game! Some feedbackpoints for you: - I would have liked that the launchstrength is based on the duration of the mouseclick, instead of using the cursor position. After 3 levels, I still click and hold and then I'm startled that the popcorn is already launched. Although, that makes it really feel like angry birds and I can see that you did not want that - At the level with the bee I almost fell out of my chair thinking it was a real one hahahaha - The mechanic for manipulating the upwards/downwards trajectory feels very nice - Some kind of level count would have been nice. Something basic like "4/5" for example. Or better: a level select screen! But I can understand that such screen is way down on the priority list - The soft wall looked a bit like cobblestone for me, maybe someting fluffy like cotton candy would have fitted better - The music though.... I love it! It is very detailed and fits perfect for what you are going with here! - I took the "pro's" only as a challenge and I loved it - The intro is epic! I think without the godot eating your logo it would be more serious Sadly I could not get past level 9 :-( There is a jump (after breaking the two walls) I just can't make. Maybe that part could have been a little more forgiving. Solid game! I had lots of fun playing it!
May 5 18:40:04 12m 40s Postal Pocalypse ♥ 1 Oh wouw this is difficult haha! But I loved the experience! The street names are logical, but still I wish there was something like an arrow or minimap or something. The graphics and music are very well made
May 5 19:06:55 26m 51s Warmazon ♥ 3 Such a cool little game! I played all the way to the end (level 7 I think), died a lot haha but with a big smile on my face all the way. I love how many diffrent kind of hazards there are. The sound design and graphics are really well done too The little guy at the bottom was pretty funny, I laughed a few times once I noticed him
May 5 19:24:35 17m 40s Lucky Lefty Loves Letters ♥ 0 What a fun game! I once lost a letter and I was very scared that it unloaded, but it fell down several screens. Glad that it did not unload! Now I could deliver all the letters. At one point I think I heard an airplane in the background. Which made me wonder: did you record the birds yourself? That would have been so cool! Well done!
May 5 19:37:13 12m 38s Unread Messages ♥ 1 Cool! Somehow I was expecting a nature inspired shimmerscale-classic, but I think this is even better! Some feedback points: The graphics and music are great. I like these style of games. The puzzles went from easy to pretty hard very quickly, I think that this is ok because you have a level select screen. Very smart for a ludum dare enrty. When the bridge was introduced, I thought I needed to route both paths over that transmitter. I was fighting the game a good 5 minutes until I noticed that I could drop the bridge icon on top of interfearance ^^ I think this game deserves a post-jam version with 5 more levels. This is awesome
May 5 19:46:59 9m 46s Deliver Us From Evil ♥ 1 Found a bug at level 3, when moving the box I clipped through the wall. I needed to close my tab. Pluspoints for the game remembering the level I was on! I remember some of the graphics and looked at some other of your games. I remember playing your LD50 entry! I think the levers and the flying enemies made a comeback :D The levers were a mistery for me first. I thought I could swing the sword to activate them
May 5 19:56:14 9m 15s I Am The Real Dahlia Verry ♥ 3 Oh, I was expecting more ^^" I see that it is work in progress, so I'll come back later :-) I can't rate everything. Sound is missing, and right now the game is not really fun I think (because the story is not done yet). I'll rate for graphics though, those look very awesome! Edit: I see that shreemp and papabirb are working together! That is cool! 😎
May 6 18:55:45 22h 59m Superstar Surgeon: a Sensitive Subject ♥ 1 I laughed so hard that I startled my cat hahaha, this game was great! Normally I have some feedback, but this one was 10/10! I wish there was more. I think we're onto a winner here.
May 6 19:30:49 35m 04s Porch Pirate Panic ♥ 1 This was so cool! I played your harvest game back in januari, and somehow I see a recuring style in your's I call "The Stevie Classic". Something to do with smooth pixelated wave attack games with metal music. I have some feedback: - Somehow I could activate a bug where I somehow created a double wave with cards that could not be hit (I think I clicked the wave button twice?) - I really like the fact that you can activate the wave manually. Maybe instead of a button, you could assign a keyboard key to that? - The music is very nice and I love how it goes into metalmode when the wave is starting
May 6 19:41:34 10m 45s Special Delivery! ♥ 1 Hahah this is gold! The hats are a fun easter egg, and the whole story is nice and simple "poop on this guys head", no more, no less 😆 I wish there were more levels
May 6 20:25:44 44m 10s Super Buffed Delivery Service ♥ 5 Just played yours, I like it a lot! It is a very satisfying game, with great graphics and a banger soundtrack! I wish there was more levels
May 7 14:19:20 17h 53m Apricot Kernel ♥ 1 What a fun game! The story was deep, but for me honestly a bit long. I think that is a me-problem though :-) I love the visuals and sound effects. It is also intuitive to control. Very well done. The only feedback point I have is that the NPC starts the whole conversation again when you accidentally bump into them a second time. A skip button, or not starting the conversation at all would be ideal in that situation
May 7 14:32:04 12m 44s Mouse Mail ♥ 0 Screenshot 2023-05-07 163105.png yay :-) Fun little game! I love the visuals and calming music. The story is well done, great job!
May 7 14:56:29 24m 25s DETOUR ♥ 1 What a fun game! Here is some feedback: - I like how the cables are part of the hitbox, making it more difficult to navigate - I like how you can time certain parts - The level select screen is a very nice addition for these Ludum Dare entries - The graphcis are very well done. I just came from your post a few minutes ago. Screenshot 2023-05-07 165351.png
May 7 19:08:12 4h 11m ON TIME ♥ 1 What a fun game! I played way too long, but I really liked it! Some feedback: - The level select screen is very clever. It gives an option to skip a level for reviewers to see the rest of the game - Maybe a button for "do not show again" on the little explaination cards would have been helpful. Some levels took me more than 10 attempts, and its not fun to have to close it everytime
