Love the noisy TVs hehe! Would like to be able to read the text without waiting, but I also like the form of typing out the text. :)

Was very confused on the final level and had to restart completely to read the oh so slow messages (stopped reading them after to second one) thinking I missed some crucial information on maybe how to shoot or something.
The story messages could really be a bit speedier and could offer a scroll skip too (instead of completely skipping it) so you could read it on your own pace.
Guess I didn't miss anything and it was camera being absolutely dumb and not following me up before being way higher. And it also had some issues with following me back down in the end. And it was though to even figure out you could go up as previously your height was capped and this spot didn't appear any different. Just stumbled into it as there was no other ways around really.
The guardian hit box was very weird. Didn't seem to matter where the package was and all in all seemed quite arbitrary. Moving every direction besides up was annoyingly slow. I don't think allowing a bit more control would really hurt.
The sound scape was actually pretty nice. The ambience painted a nice mood without any need for special bells and whistles. The pixel art wasn't bad either was it looked a bit messy as the pixel size varied all over the place and not in a logical manner even (like the biggest pixels were in the background). Nice parallax though.
That's about it. Just would need some minor adjustments and obviously more content. Good job! 👍
I flew around for a bit but the movement was maybe broken? If I pressed W then the player would zip straight up extremely quickly but flying any other direction (with S, A, or D) the player would move only extremely slowly... just going from the left side of the screen to the right could take minutes. I never encountered the guardian. Is it a bug or intentional? I played the web build btw
@cheesepencil You need to pickup the packages (which happens when you collide) and take it to the drop-off point, maybe you were playing the older and unpatched web build on ldjam which doesn't load for me or most people, on itch it should be working and the movement speed is patched to eventually reach a similar speed to going up.
Nice little game, I just felt that going up was way too fast compared to going left or right
Sweet short game!
Some feedback I've got:
- I like the setting it is set in. It gives stuff to think about - The packages blend too well with the background. At first I did not see the package and flew past it. Once you know, you know and that little detail did not bother me after learning that. - The controls of the drone are well defined and solid - I like the background graphics and their paralaxing effect - The sound effects are cool too, it really feels like a distopian future - The story element was cool, but the text appeared way too slow for me on the screen. That could have been more sped-up. Or maybe a button to make it appear all at once. - The last level I accidently discovered a whole new world above the level. I went back to the first level to see if it was there too. But there wasn't. Maybe some indicator that that world was there would benefit your game, as people will more easily finish it.
Cool and unique art style. I found the controls pretty frustrating, but I think you were successful with the overall vibe. Nice job!
Great game, I like the art and the sounds (super stressful vibe!). Like others said, the text is a little slow to appear (just a x2 speed would be nice, or a button to display everything at once), and the drone movement is a little weird (goes up really fast), but overall it's a really nice entry. Good job!
I like the grungy pixel art, it's a cool style. Nice job!
Hello. I really like your entry. Maybe the pixelated aesthetic is a little bit too hard. The main gameplay is clever and fits with the theme. What I prefer in your game is the background atmosphere which is amazing - something immersive and sometimes oppressive in the same time. I had fun playing. A solid entry. Thank you. I wish you the best ++
I played the web version. At first, I was pretty confused because I could travel straight through the ceiling and over the wall. I ended up flying into the void for a while (which was eerie in its own right). Also had the above mentioned issues where moving up was much faster than moving in any other direction, and the camera wouldn't cut up/down until I had flied a bit into that space.
Otherwise, I loved the visual and audio design. It's just the right amount of deranged and uncanny. The game-play was pretty simple, but the overall experience was really effective.
You can fly against the top border! That helped. Have seen a few little details like for example in level two with the text repeating and saying 'the the' but I be nitpicking now because it was fun~ The story was fun!
