Apr 4 21:04:30 SUPER 2 Late ♥ 1 Hello There! I loved the art style of your game, very beautiful and the perspective was super unique. I have not seen a perspective like this before. Overall the game was nice to look at and the mood was absolutely 10/10. I was not a fan of the movement, it felt very janky and I even got stuck at the bottom of the screen at one point and had to restart. I also do not like the sliding with the mouse to left and right, it does not feel great to play. I loved the sound design for collecting and placing the packages into the ship. I also think the ship could have a bit of a more clear indicator of where it is. It took me a second to find where I had to put the parts in, I think art wise you could do something to help indicate that right off the bat. I also wish there was an ending sequence for not winning instead of just cutting to the menu. Great little addition with the cars honking when you get in front of them, that made me laugh, +1 for humor. Overall great work you should be very proud :D Looking forward to seeing more games from you.
Apr 4 21:15:17 10m 47s Fly dreamer ♥ 0 Hello there, I really enjoyed the concept for your game with the balloon and the physics were really cool because it can create a challenging "delay the inevitable" type gameplay. I was really confused with the controls and was not sure what the extra menus were for. I also moved the slider down and my balloon would infinitely go down and not back up. Overall a lack of understanding on what to do in this game. I liked the balloon art but environment was lacking. I loved the music in this game very nice to listen to while playing. Keep up the great work you completed a game! Proud of you. My biggest feedback is being a bit more clear with direction so the player can get through the game.
Apr 4 21:32:12 16m 55s Live, Flame, Live! ♥ 2 Hello There, I really loved the fact that this game doesn't really have a full purpose but is still enjoyable to play. I think a lot of people think that when you create a game, that is has to have a full purpose or an end goal. This game does a really great job standing against the status quo and what you expect a game to be. It was eerie but peaceful creating a very strong mood. One thing that may be helpful or maybe useless to you is, I am a streamer/Virtual YouTuber. I use a model and when streaming with my model and running the game, my model was lagging. I have only had this happen with big games like Apex Legends but most of the time it does not. So you might want to look into fps/ performance in future games. The music and sound effects were nice and worked well with the game. I love the written text and credits as well to everyone on the team. Very good work making a fun game that fits the theme.
Apr 4 21:44:18 12m 06s Populus Romanus ♥ 2 Hello There, I love the art for this game, the UI is also very nice. I was pretty confused on what to do and what the point of the game was. Maybe it's because of my lack of knowledge on these types of structures and how they work. Not quite sure what I was doing. The mood of the game was really nice though and I think that the way you went about the theme was clever as well. great work :D
Apr 4 21:54:18 10m 00s Dave's Diet ♥ 2 Hello There, I absolutely loved your game all around. The art is really nice, the title screen is great and made me laugh. Super clever concept regarding the theme and all around interesting idea to play as the food itself. The music was also peaceful and fits the vibe. The one critique that I have about this game is that the movement with the food feels a bit fast and the panning is fast as well making it a little dizzy/hard to play. Overall super solid game my first 5/5 rating on everything. Great work :D
Apr 4 22:03:48 9m 30s Crunch ♥ 2 Hello There! I liked the aesthetic of your game. The isometric art was very nice. I think the UI in the beginning could have been played out better for player experience/readability. Playing into the idea of crunch and workaholism was really nice and relatable as I know so many game devs have experienced this before. Great theme idea. I was confused while playing, I am not quite sure why or how actions were helping or making things worse for my main character. It was difficult to understand how to play and the point of playing. I like the art again and theme, super nice job! Great work on your game. I also looked at your studio website and your games look really great. Good luck with your first mobile game release. You got this!
Apr 4 22:14:35 10m 47s Overtime ♥ 2 Hello There, I loved the graphics in this game and the title screen art was beautiful! The little upgrades through out the map were nice as well. The music had very high energy as well which made it go nicely with the theme. The multiple enemy designs were great as well. Overall, the game play felt a little stale for me. I loved the mood and aesthetic but I felt like there is something missing that makes me want to keep playing. Amazing work, thanks for letting me play your game :D
Apr 4 22:43:52 29m 17s Last Bastion of Wizardom ♥ 0 Hello Kiba, I loved the gameplay it was very nice. The voice acting/ sounds effects fit the game and created a good sense of atmosphere as well. A few things I would change, 1. the stair case was a cool idea but a little too much movement for me as a player/spinning creating an unpleasant movement up the tower. The art was okay, I think that more time could have been put into texture work. Loved the idea of selling should, protecting the tower and having some upgrades. Amazing work :D
Apr 4 22:58:14 14m 22s Taoreta Mura ♥ 1 Hello Farzher, Amazing work on your game! I loved it. It was a ton of fun to play, and I actually kept playing because of how fun it was. The overall mood and aesthetic was nice, and the whole game fit the theme nicely. This is another one of my favorite jam games I have played so far. The last thing I would recommend is adding the high score/time alive incentive somewhere so the player will be able to see how good their best score was. This will help even more with incentive to keep playing. Keep up the good work :D
Apr 4 23:09:54 11m 40s Just Another Zombie Game ♥ 2 Hey There! I tried to play your game but the drive is empty. Let me know when its fixed so I can play :D
Apr 4 23:16:59 7m 05s Arboressence ♥ 2 Hello, Loved the art in your game and the icons. Beautiful work! The concept was cool and I like the different mechanics implemented. I feel like there could have been more involved in the game, just felt a little stale after a while. Like maybe more rewards for the player as well. You keep the enemies off of the house, however I don't feel a sense of accomplishment or reward which makes it hard to want to keep playing. Overall mood and aesthetic was super nice though 10/10 great work.
Apr 4 23:47:15 30m 16s Cards of Life ♥ 3 Hello There, I loved this game, one of my favorites so far in the jam. The art was breath taking and the story was a lot of fun. I played this game on stream with my community allowing them to vote with me. If you are turning this into a long term project, I think introducing a party game concept would be a great idea, or even integrating something like twitch into it. Maybe even people voting from their mobile devices. The thing I think you could work on/add is music and sound design to amplify the gameplay. Also maybe a bit more attention to background art/detail. This game was fun, fit the theme great and has humor as well. Amazing work all around.
Apr 5 00:11:15 24m 00s Living the Dream ♥ 2 Hello There, This game was a really interesting concept. I was laughing pretty hard when I realized it costs $100 dollars to sleep. Honestly maybe this will be a reality some day xDDD I liked the concept for this game, it went with the theme well. I really think that music was needed to make the experience a bit better. The walking sound was also a bit jarring and didn't really feel like walking. Lastly, maybe some UI to show everything you can do on the map. Like Mining and how much it gives you. Overall, great game thanks for making it. I enjoyed it :D
Apr 5 00:26:50 15m 35s My Dream Cafe ♥ 1 Hello, This game overall was really pretty and I liked the music. There are a lot of things I would change though. 1. the menu + holding scroll wheel was a bit much for the menu/ I think it could have been easier to use. I did not understand that I had to use the menu to see how to complete certain recipes until like 5 minutes into the game. Also Money on the main screen would be nice because having to go back in the menu to see the money was frustrating. I lived the mood and vibe of this game, and the humor with the combo of drinks and recipes was a nice touch. good work all around but just some user experience things I think that would greatly benefit the game :D
Apr 5 17:05:12 16h 38m Udder Chaos ♥ 3 Hello Lekiy and the team, This game was super fun. Loved how simple the concept was and how the progression is increasingly getting harder as well with different types of ships and more than 1 ship. The art was really cute and aesthetic, however I had a hard time understand that the hay was hay. This led to me not collecting it and getting energy on the first run of the game. Loved the audio/moos and spaceship noises. Lastly, having a restart would have been nice as well. Great work :D
Apr 5 17:20:09 14m 57s D-Lay Guetta Party Hard ♥ 1 Hello Teddy, I loved this game so much! It was very fun. The "Hypometer" such a funny name and very modern. I also loved how there were goblins dancing with the humans as if we live in a time where goblins now are dancing with humans. LETSSS GOO. Great game, my biggest critique would be the UI design/typography. It was a little hard to read/ not aesthetically pleasing. It did not take away too much from the experience but it could have been better/cleaner and easier to read. Amazing work thanks for sharing :D
Apr 5 17:54:27 34m 18s Highrail to hell ♥ 1 Hello Piggy, Overall this game was super fun to play. It felt really rewarding to learn about different ways you can attack and be involved in the combat with the zombies. The combat was my favorite part of this game. Great work explaining the controls and having simple objectives as well. The one thing I would fix that I did not like was the controls. It was pretty difficult to remember and go back and forth between c, space bar, x. Amazing game all through out, thanks for making it :D
Apr 5 18:07:57 13m 30s We Need To Talk ♥ 2 Hello Dodoot and Dodidodo, I loved the overall aesthetic and art in this game. You did an amazing job with the special effects and feel over the gameplay. The concept of a fighting type card game was very unique as well. The theme implementation was also very well done and I have not really seen anything like it. Something I would have liked is to get more involved with the story/what the actual cards were saying. I didn't really have time to read the card because I was focusing on the combos. Yall did a fantastic job thank you for participating in the jam :D I look forward to seeing more games of yours in the future!
Apr 5 18:32:29 24m 32s Strata ♥ 1 Hello Buried and Nirufa, Loved this game, probably my favorite so far out of about 20 games I've played. The graphics were super clean and easy on the eyes. The falling rune concept is really neat. I liked how there is a good use/purpose for every mechanic in the game as well. The only critique or thing you could consider but is not necessary is making it more clear where the objective tiles are. It is not needed but maybe something to experiment with visually? Thanks for making such a great game :D
Apr 5 18:55:42 23m 13s Catronaut ♥ 2 Hello Angi and Team, The aesthetic of the game was really nice. I loved the little editions of the cat pictures and drawing as well too, it helped create little moments of joy. The oxygen/flying mechanic is fun but hard to understand how to use the mechanic efficiently. I think that having a tool tip or a tutorial level to help show the player how to best utilize the mechanic would be extremely helpful. Great game and keep up the good work :D
Apr 5 19:26:56 31m 14s No Time To Leave ♥ 1 Hello Attala, The aesthetic and concept for the game was a really interesting and eerie vibe that I did enjoy. Great job with the sound effects and overall atmosphere of the game. I also liked the robot designs a lot. I think what could have been helpful is more clearer directions on where to go and what to do. Other than that, great work :D
Apr 5 19:52:27 25m 31s plant. ♥ 1 Badcop, I liked the colors and vibes of the game, the foliage was well done too. I also liked the peaceful music/birds in the background, it helped create a nice sense of atmosphere. I was a bit confused on which branches to cut. Maybe some type of UI would help. Also the water was not coming out directly from the watering can but I know you already know that/maybe looking into fixing that with resolution. The Game concept was a good one that fit with the theme nicely. Great work :D
Apr 5 20:15:32 23m 05s IRS: Infinite Record Sorter ♥ 1 Bog, Loved the concept for this game. The humor was 10/10 really funny and enjoyable. The mechanics were also challenging enough to make the gameplay lots of fun. The thing I would challenge you to do is sound for more parts in the game. I know you mentioned it would be hard without making it sound spammy but maybe there is a solution somewhere in there? Great work :D
Apr 5 20:30:22 14m 50s leaky robotic arm ♥ 2 Hello Aesthetic, The concept for this game was really neat. Very cool how you took inspiration off of the video you posted. It's so important to be consistently innovating and pushing the bounds of what games can be and I love this concept I think it does that well. The hardest part about this game for me is the controls, I know it was meant for controller as you mentioned but it's very important to make sure it feels good every way it can be played. Also I think maybe more reward/challenges or incentives might have been nice. Really great work overall, good job :D
Apr 5 20:45:24 15m 02s SHUT THAT HOLE ♥ 3 Ilya & Team, This game was an interesting concept however it felt a bit repetitive and I was not having too much fun. I think that a mix in mechanics even slightly with the board vs giving out rum would have helped increase the fun in playing. Also again there really was no reward system for the player making it hard to want to continue playing. Congrats on your first playable game for a game jam, that is a huge win and you should be super proud :D great work!
Apr 5 21:00:10 14m 46s Wrong Road ♥ 2 Hello Denji and team, Loved the graphics in this game, the little Christmas tree was cute and the cut scene was really nice. The UI on the menu I think could have been better. It didn't feel like I was clicking the button when I hit start I think that's because it too so long. I was pretty confused on what to do and the driving made me a bit dizzy with the rails passing which also made it kind of difficult to play/find enjoyable. Nice work on your game, the strongest assets were the art and animation. Keep it up :D
Apr 5 21:21:06 20m 56s Deck And Decay ♥ 3 Thor, Matiz, Anchry, and team, The concept of cards vs zombies was an innovative one. I enjoyed the idea. Graphics were kind of a mixed bag. It seemed a but inconsistent/no unity. I don't mind the troll graphics but if they are gonna be troll make it all like that to create harmony. I found it hard to create a strategy around my cards because I was not fully sure of their capabilities. This made it a struggle for the game to be fun. Overall, cool concept but I think it could be executed better.
Apr 5 21:32:31 11m 25s Hearts Ablaze ♥ 0 Hello Aphons and team, All around this game was awesome! Loved the feeling and western aesthetic. The sound design specifically was very nice. The only thing I had to doc points on was the innovation. I've seent his game concept done quite a lot in game jams so it's not super original. Other than that, great work :D
Apr 11 20:14:46 142h 42m Diamond in the Rough ♥ 2 Hello Drums, Thanks for hanging out with us in stream. First off, I loved the graphics in this game really well done and fit the theme you were going for. I think that there could be improvement in the UI. I was not a huge fan of the font, I really don't think the font supported the style that the game was in. Also the light blue color I am not sure about as well, maybe sticking to the warm color palette would have helped a bit stylistically. The overall gameplay was really fun but I feel like something was missing. Maybe having an enemy on top of filling up the pots with sand. Super solid and well polished for the jam. Great work :D
Apr 11 21:19:44 1h 04m Growing up ♥ 3 Hello, This game is a really cool idea. I know there are a few people my team too who thought about making a game relating to the inevitability of growing up. It's an extremely relatable and emotional game about how humans often feel as they grow older. Less control over the world and a duller view point on what was once so meaningful or colorful to them. The music supported the emotions very well and the art was beautiful. A few changes I would make is 1. I ran into a chair glitch and had to restart the game. When you push the chair into the wall it gets stuck if you don't go behind it and push it towards the cookies right away. I did not like that you always said "it is inevitable" I think it's pretty clear that aging is inevitable and the player does not need to be told. I think it's a bit jarring and actually less effective by saying it over and over again. Also I was confused at the white room part. I thought it was a glitch or an invisible maze type thing. I'm not sure if this was intentional for the story but maybe making it a bit more clear to keep walking to the right. Overall very impactful game emotionally and def one of the coolest/most innovative games that I have played this jam.
Apr 11 22:05:07 45m 23s Mr. Second ♥ 2 Hello Marvis, The first thing I noticed about this game while playing is the animation. The main characters movement and animation is beautifully done. I love the font and design of the game. This game was addictive and frustrating. For some reason I failed like 30 times at level 3. I think if you wanted to turn this into a game to sell which I think you should, maybe having some more tutorial levels to see how you can best utilize your characters rewind mechanic. Other than that super cool game!
Apr 11 22:18:51 13m 44s Airborne Retribution: Legacy: Revelations of Invasion: the Return 4 Deluxe: Gold ♥ 2 Hello, I liked the game overall I had fun. The few things I would recommend changing is 1. The shadow of the plane messed me up a lot where I thought I was the shadow after gazing around the map then looking 2. The fire on the map made me think that I could not go in that area 3. I feel like the graphics for the time/fire/collectable elements could have represented that specific thing better. Cool game but def some things that can make it better.
Apr 11 22:40:18 21m 27s Keep It Steaming ♥ 4 Hello Milky, Thanks for sharing your game with me! I love the graphics really pretty and the mini games were fun. Things I would fix is adding some sort of UI or help to show the player what they are supposed to do for each mini-game. Maybe even using audio with a reward type sound so I know I completed the mini-game successfully. The audio made it a bit confusing, I understand it was a bit humorous but it made me confused wondering if I did actually fix the thing when he said "is this fixed?" So again maybe just looking into some cleaner communication. Overall great game :D
Apr 11 23:22:44 42m 26s Super Mowser Bros ♥ 2 Hello J_revel, Thanks for hanging out on stream and sharing your game! I loved the play off of Mario and the art is super pretty and well done. The concept for the game was really nice as well. The hardest part was knowing what I was supposed to be doing. Even after reading the written tutorial it still was not enough to introduce me to the mechanics of the game. I think the UI maybe could have helped explain this a bit better as well. Also the arrows moving side to side were in the way of the beginning building circles on each new level. I think maybe a walk through/play along for the tutorial would have been better then a written tutorial or sort of a combo of written and showing what's happening and how its being done. I think this could really clear up the communication to the player. Overall cool game idea, great art just some communication /user experience would help a lot with giving the player the tools they need to succeed.
Apr 11 23:34:13 11m 29s Protocol Delta ♥ 1 Hello Boats, Loved your game simple and fun. The wizard art/icons were really cool and designed nicely. The movement felt pretty good but I was not a huge fan of the delay that happens when you are close to the enemies. I think that the delay interrupts the flow of the game. The feedback when getting hit and sound is nice but that blip in the movement breaks my immersion as a player. Really fun game looking forward to more in the future!
Apr 11 23:54:12 19m 59s Farm Dog ♥ 3 Hello LameBoy, Thanks for stopping by stream and sharing your game. Loved the art/voxel look. Also enjoyed the western theme. This game was super duper fun. Some feedback I would give is making the health bar and upgrade UI bigger, its a bit small and hard to read and it is pretty important for the player to see/one of the most crucial parts of the game. Also I think there would be a great benefit from making it more obvious when you get hit, its hard to know when you are being damaged. Also some of the borders were not the same size/squashed so watch that as well. Overall great game!
Apr 12 00:14:12 20m 00s Timeless ♥ 1 Hello Shmador, This game was incredibly fun. Loved the animation and simple art style as well. The level design was great and felt very rewarding to play through. The freeze/time mechanic is very innovative. Honestly not many critiques here accept for maybe an indicator on which level you are on/how far you have gotten. Overall great game!
Apr 13 23:19:39 47h 05m Somnipathy ♥ 4 Hello Mink and team, Love your game super fun and the art is beautiful. The music also fit well. I think some sound effects would have helped being attached to some of the creatures. Also the UI was a bit tough to read sometimes. For example I didn't even realize I had an alert bar until like 5 minutes into the game. Tool tips might help as well to know what the goal is in the game. Really great and had a lot of fun overall.
Apr 13 23:38:59 19m 20s Plague Fail ♥ 1 Hello, This was a cool concept for a game but after I collected the plants I was stuck and could not progress in the game. Also the jump and attack with the sickle seemed kind of useless/wasn't sure what it was for. Cool concept but def needs work on execution.
Apr 14 00:46:49 1h 07m Giraffe o'Clock ♥ 1 Hello Kepsert, Amazing game! I loved the music, the gameplay was super fun and very rewarding. The only critique I have is some graphics. The text box being the same color as the bg threw me off a bit, also the boxes that you cant jump on should maybe be pushed back a bit /look separated from the main level. Over all extremely enjoyable game :D
Apr 14 01:08:14 21m 25s Extremely Exteme Sports ♥ 2 This game is too good. Game of the year please <3
Apr 14 01:35:12 26m 58s Re: Placement ♥ 3 Hello Outfrost, Loved the puzzles super fun and really pulled me in. I think something to consider is having a more top down view of the panel to better understand and fit the parts. Great game :D
Apr 14 01:57:56 22m 44s Healer's Handbook ♥ 3 Hello Chris and team, Really cool original idea and the sound effects were really nice to listen to on top of the gameplay. I also loved the concept of healer healing those who will inevitably die. Really clever game. The critique I have is The UI black box seems a bit close/ crowded next to the spell book and doesn't relly stick out as UI/ seems a but bit blended with the game. Lastly, the 3rd option where you choose the "strength" it was not super clear on what it was. It might have been in the tutorial and I may have missed it. Cool game over all, really enjoyed my play through :D
