Oct 3 23:06:41 Unstable Relation ♥ 1 This was fun! I was expecting a purely narrative game going in (I saw your posts on Twitter), so I enjoyed the surprise when it turned out it was a fight to the death against the trash I refused to take out. Really good for your first 3D / Godot Game!
Oct 3 23:21:36 14m 55s It will Fall ♥ 2 Congrats on submitting! I also only starting working on my game this morning, so I feel your pain haha. This was a fun game, the graphics are nice and simple, but are quite relaxing. Any criticisms I'd have, you already mentioned yourself in the description. I do like the idea of hex grid physics tetris though, I'd be interested to see what this looks like if the idea is taken further?
Oct 3 23:50:26 28m 50s It Crumbles ♥ 1 This is great! Very well polished, nice pixel art graphics and juicy gameplay with an interesting mechanic. I'd love to see this idea expanded on and the difficulty balanced a bit more (It's pretty difficult after the ground floor). Reminds me a lot of the Tower of Hera in Link to the Past, which has a floor mechanic like this. Great work!
Oct 4 00:08:04 17m 38s U.N.S.T.A.B.L.E ♥ 1 Nice work! It's hard enough making one game for a game jam, but getting minigames working too is impressive. It's a fun game and I think outside of a few minor bugs (Move right as E instead of D, can't replenish ammo without firing your gun) I enjoyed it! Also I like how you slowly introduced the ship systems over time - it made it way less overwhelming to play when everything started to go wrong 😄
Oct 4 00:15:45 7m 41s Unstable Space ♥ 1 Really impressive work making an RTS in 2 days! Sadly it crashed for me after a few minutes, but I got the gist of the game. I'm pretty terrible at RTS games, but this was easy to pick up and play, and I had fun with it! Very well polished too and I liked the concept. Good stuff!
Oct 4 00:27:25 11m 40s Competitive Skyscraper Construction Simulator 2021 ♥ 1 Like the other commenters said, the color repellent idea is such a good mechanic to add to this type of game. The leaderboard adds a lot too, I enjoyed my time with this game!
Oct 4 00:40:19 12m 54s Server Preserver ♥ 1 This was great! Really silly idea executed perfectly. Nice work!
Oct 4 00:57:56 17m 37s St. Eugene the Resolute ♥ 1 Very cute and difficult! Sadly I'm not as resolute as St Eugene, but it was a fun game! Especially good for 6 hours 😄
Oct 4 09:39:11 8h 41m b-Blaster ♥ 1 This is awesome! I got to 1052 points. Gameplay was a lot of fun, it definitely becomes a lot harder to survive past 1000 points. The BGM, SFX and Graphics were also great and the game overall is really well polished. Good entry, nice work!
Oct 4 09:56:22 17m 11s Unstable Concoction ♥ 0 I really liked this game! It's cute and having the little bit of dialog with the customers added some humor. Finding new recipes is fun, but I think having a list of discovered recipes would have been nice, since I'd forget if I already tried a recipe and then I'll go through the minigame just to make acid water again. Overall I really like it though, good stuff!
Oct 4 14:01:48 4h 05m Orbit ♥ 1 This is really cool, I love these kinds of orbital mechanic puzzle games! The art and music is nice too, so it feels like a complete game jam experience. Also nice work on getting the trajectory prediction in for a game jam, I made a similar mechanic for a game a few weeks ago and it took me a few days to figure out how to implement that. Great work! 😄
Oct 5 19:02:42 29h 00m False Angel ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this, and loved the NES aesthetic! Only issue I had was on the second stage, where the blue bird blended into the background a bit too much and killed me twice because I didn't notice them. I think just having the white and red bird is good enough. Also having the soundtrack and some cut-scenes added some nice polish, it was very "complete" for a Ludum Dare game. Excellent entry, great work!
Oct 5 19:14:39 11m 57s Charon ♥ 1 Nice work, this is a super unique idea! I really like games that play around with movement or controlling vehicles in this sort of way, so I definitely think this idea could be expanded upon. I think having an easier way to stow the barrels would be nice since it's way too easy to lose the barrels.
Oct 5 19:38:02 23m 23s Last Fall ♥ 1 This is a fantastic game and is just super polished. Very impressed that this was also made in a custom C++ engine, it feels very responsive and with some more levels, music and sfx I feel like it feel like it could be a full game. Awesome job!
Oct 5 19:47:01 8m 59s Sanity Check ♥ 1 This is a fun interpretation of the theme, I sadly wasn't able to save Mike's sanity but I hope he's doing ok! The art was cute, had a kind of claymation look to it, and the background music was nice too - it didn't get too repetitive. I think the core gameplay idea is good, it just needs some tweaking around the controls. I think removing the double jump would simplify the game a bit, since I felt like I needed to double jump up a floor and across gaps anyway? Also it felt like I was sliding around a bit too much. Outside of some tweaking though, I think this was a really good entry. Good job!
Oct 5 19:58:07 11m 06s UnstableOS ♥ 1 I love OS sim style games, and I really enjoyed this one! It's really tough trying to balance the power, I found I kept on running out of energy before I got to the planet. I loved the hectic vibe of the game, where you're trying to finish simple tasks but the damn computer just keeps getting in your way lol. I also played it on my phone, which added to the atmosphere. Great entry, great work!
Oct 5 20:11:07 13m 00s Office Novice ♥ 2 I have no idea how you all did this in 3 days but it's just 👌 so so so good. Easily the best game I've played so far in the jam, this deserved top 10 imo!
Oct 5 20:19:30 8m 23s Tol ♥ 1 Really great entry, the noise of the spinning top across the wood is actually super relaxing to me. The cat at the goal was such a fun little touch, I loved it!
Oct 5 20:51:12 31m 42s Woops I Forgot My Ladder ♥ 2 Very cool idea, I think there's a foundation for a good game here. If you're making a post-jam version, I'd love if we could make catapults and contraptions to get up to the higher windows, and a larger variety of objects to make unstable ladders! Spontaneous Compustion City was also a lot of fun to run around. I did find a bug with the bench outline, I think physics is still enabled for it? Fun game, good job! 😄
Oct 5 21:10:25 19m 13s Il Bambino ♥ 2 Hey, nice entry! I liked the narrative of the game, but I think the exposition at the start could be cut down or paced throughout the game like how CloudLunar said. The hand-drawn graphics were very nice and there was a nice mood to the game. I really wish the game was a bit more technically smooth though, where walking felt a bit more natural rather than it feeling like a slideshow. Other than that, I did enjoy the experience. Good job! 😄
Oct 5 21:29:42 19m 17s SCANLINE ♥ 1 Hey there fellow black and white, pixel art, grid-based puzzler game dev! I really enjoyed this, it's super polished and you can't really go wrong with a Sokoban game! The scanline mechanic is so inspired, I'd love to know how you came up with it! I played through a lot of levels but I didn't get a chance to finish it because there's a lot of other games I want to play for LD, but I'll definitely come back and finish this after the jam! One of my favourites so far, great job 😄
Oct 5 21:56:28 26m 46s Overclocked ♥ 1 This was a fun little game, I got about halfway through before the difficulty spiked near the top of the level. I'm glad you put in the cheat for the defrags though since I'm absolutely terrible at slide puzzles. The background music was super catchy, and I loved the graphics effects as the computer overheated. I think a bit more of a tutorial or ramp up would have been nice, since I didn't realise what the defrag did at first. Cool entry, I enjoyed it 😄
Oct 5 22:10:31 14m 03s BRIMSTONE ♥ 0 Sooooo good! I would have been impressed if this was made in an engine like Unity or GameMaker, but the fact that it's also in a custom framework is amazing. The art is lovely, the ambient backing track sets the mood too. And of course, the burn mechanic really adds time pressure and some puzzle gameplay which was a lot of fun. Only feedback I would have is that the particle effects can kind of get in the way of seeing where spikes are, but other than that it was such a good entry and I really hope you get a good overall rating. Congrats 😄 (Also I played on Windows which worked perfectly)
Oct 5 22:25:59 15m 28s Demolition Mouse ♥ 1 Graphics are cute and I like the idea! I think the controls are a bit floaty and slippery, but if they were tightened up would really improve the game. Nice work 😄
Oct 5 22:31:42 5m 43s Lacalaca Ripstaurant ♥ 2 Fun game! Very difficult but I liked the humor and gameplay. Nice work 😄
Oct 5 22:44:28 12m 46s Karawan ♥ 2 Excellent game, I'm really impressed that you all managed to make something with this much depth in 3 days! I really enjoyed the background music too. Great job! 😄
Oct 5 22:57:59 13m 31s Beep Boop Boba ♥ 2 Really nice game, I haven't played one of these multitasking style games in a while but I really enjoyed it! Has a very cute aesthetic and has a good ramp up of difficulty. Great job! 😄
Oct 5 23:26:29 28m 30s Jenga DESU ! ♥ 1 Haha this is awesome! I love the cute aesthetic, and the 3D Tetris gameplay with physics is such a simple yet effective idea. To be honest the highlight for me was the music, I would absolutely listen to that while working. Excellent work! 😄
Oct 21 14:33:08 375h 06m Bleeding Edge Software ♥ 2 Excellent work with this game, I really enoyed it. 1. I felt like the narrative was fine, I just feel like it ended a bit abruptly. But it's a jam entry, so that sort of thing happens! 2. I never really focused on the resources in the game to be honest. Would it be more challenging? Yes. Would it make the game more enjoyable? I don't think so. The tarot card resource management of Reigns was a core mechanic in that game, but that doesn't really happen here. It's more about the narrative. So I'd say leave out the resource management if you want to make this a full release. Or if you want to keep resource management, figure out how to tie it into the narrative? 3. I think the sudden swap from a Reigns type game to other minigames really made the whole game feel unstable. I love these sort of meta-games like Undertale or Pony Island, so having that as a surprise in the game sold the theme for me. 4. Fun, to be honest. I didn't really enjoy the snake game mixed with the cards, it got a bit challenging and I couldn't read the flavour text. 5. Like I said earlier, the fact that the game has a sort of meta narrative and the fact that it wasn't just Reigns with a programmer skin. Overall I enjoyed it, nice work!
Oct 21 14:39:12 6m 04s Stack Tower Jump ♥ 1 Nice game, it's a simple idea and it feels nice to play. I think it's paced a bit slowly though and it would help the game a lot if it had music (I didn't put music in my game either though, I know how it is) and SFX. Also having the platforms come in faster would help. Nice work!
Oct 21 14:55:58 16m 46s Atom Forge ♥ 0 It took me a few tries to figure out how to play it, but I figured it out eventually! Cool idea, having to interact with the different machines is a little clunky. I really enjoyed the music though, nice work!
Oct 21 15:00:11 4m 13s Prefabricated Highrise ♥ 1 Very cool game, I think you nailed the gravity settings for each block. It doesn't feel too hard to control, and once it lands it feel solid and weighty. I got to about 20 before it fell over, nice work! 😄
Oct 21 19:58:15 4h 58m Vomit Up the World ♥ 1 Awesome game, it was actually super relaxing despite the rolling-in-a-ball perspective! Music and Art was lovely and was a fun 5 minute playthrough. Great work!
