| Apr 26 13:23:53 | My Little Tree | ♥ 1 | Really nice concept, the tree growing as you reach for more water underground makes this very relaxing. Visually pretty pleasing as well. An issue I came across is that the roots near the surface can get really big and disjoint from the root line the deeper you go. It can look very weird. Some audio would go a long way as well. The concept is really cool, keep it up! | |
| Apr 26 14:05:44 | 41m 51s | A Well-built Castle | ♥ 0 | Very relaxing, a lot of waiting involved. Really like the parallax with the movement of the camera, adds a nice bit of depth. Nice entry! |
| Apr 26 14:27:56 | 22m 12s | Voyage of Science and Legacy | ♥ 1 | Really cool to create an interactable story of Voyager, creates a very nice experience. Showing the pale blue dot is very nice, even recreating it. The game itself is more of a railroad, with a more 'do what you are told' feel. The concept, however, is very nice. |
| Apr 26 14:57:14 | 29m 18s | Diving Bubble | ♥ 1 | Good game with so little development time. Easy to play, hard to master. I had difficulty switching colors fast enough and move fast enough to shoot correctly. It seems like the color you currently have selected does not appear in the bubbles, which makes sense (you have to die at some point) but makes it also a bit frustrating. |
| Apr 26 15:17:00 | 19m 46s | Enceladus Depths | ♥ 2 | Atmospheric game, really sets the mood with the audio and visuals. Sometimes I find that the waves are a bit long, which makes deaths very punishing. Nice entry. |
| Apr 26 17:18:33 | 2h 01m | Diary of Sedah | ♥ 1 | This is a very nice game. You really feel the weight of the lantern attack, the animation and the screenshake make it feel very powerful. Interesting way to fire bullets as well! The music and story set the mood really well, the theme is well applied. Fun game! |
| Apr 26 17:33:11 | 14m 38s | Stabalot | ♥ 1 | Solid game, very innovative idea which works surprisingly well (once you know how it works). The audio and visuals help sell the game, they are nice. The loop on the music may be a bit on the short side, but that's a bit nitpicky. |
| Apr 26 17:47:46 | 14m 35s | the sunken place | ♥ 1 | What a banger of a track, absolutely loved that. Sad that there is only one level which is relatively short. Mechanically, the game is not that interesting. Static platforms, a jump and moving left and right is all it really is. Moving platforms, spikes and/or a double jump can make it more interesting. That being said, the main game is there and for a first game it's more than enough. Good job! |
| Apr 26 17:58:51 | 11m 05s | Root Crop | ♥ 1 | Interesting game, nice concept. Finding water was a bit hard sometimes. Nice work! |
| Apr 26 21:41:46 | 3h 42m | Into the Abyss | ♥ 1 | Very cool puzzle game! It's simple, yet very effective in what it does. Really well put together puzzles that have their own 'aha!' moment, taking the hook mechanic to an unexpected level. Well done! |
| Apr 26 22:06:13 | 24m 27s | Cave Runner | ♥ 0 | When you get really far and things start moving really fast is when the game is at it's best. It basically becomes a 'blink and you die' thing which puts the tension on a lot. The animations of the stick figure are nice as well. Having some variation in the buttons pressed would be better, as it forces the player to pay more attention. Some audio, even just a bit, could help out a ton as well. Nice concept! |
| Apr 27 12:18:25 | 14h 12m | Jupiter II | ♥ 1 | A really solid game! The audio is great, sets up for a great atmosphere together with what is going on in the game. You could feel the tension rising as the music gets darker and the transmission cuts off, followed by an increase in speed. Different enemies kept you on your toes, and scanning them gives a hint of how to deal with them. Would like to see some feedback when you scan something, sometimes it did not feel like it was working. Other than that, great entry! |
| Apr 27 12:30:52 | 12m 27s | Beautiful blob | ♥ 0 | Reject surface blobfish, return to depths blobfish. Very cursed game, although I did enjoy it. Was not able to finish it, the hitboxes felt a bit inconsistent. One time I could go almost through a mirror and did not get hit, another time I barely touched it and died. |
| Apr 27 12:36:51 | 5m 59s | Blue Eye - Salvage & Rescue | ♥ 1 | Fun game, a tutorial on what things do would make the game a more playable, instead of a wall of text in the main menu. There are a lot of things going on: numbers going up and down, text appearing, lots of particles, I just got a bit overwhelmed. Once I understand for the most part what was going on, the game was pretty enjoyable! |
| Apr 27 12:56:02 | 19m 11s | Fish for Meaning | ♥ 1 | The models are very nice, the 'Terrible music' is not all that terrible and the questions almost gave me an existential crisis! Some visual feedback on getting hit would be nice, and the level is a bit too boxy. Nice first entry for a jam! |
| Apr 27 19:23:42 | 6h 27m | Madness Inc. | ♥ 1 | Nice short game, interesting mechanics. Some music could go a long way as well as some sound effects for enemies. The gameplay is pretty cool, dashing feels nice. |
| Apr 28 15:07:08 | 19h 43m | Just Dig | ♥ 1 | The game starts off really slow, it takes some time before you can get some good upgrades which let you dig faster. Some of the level was blocked off by white blocks, while I did not have the upgrade to dig through them, making me wait to die. When you have no upgrades, it becomes a guess at how much gold you're going to get, sometimes I got 3 gold before I was blocked, sometimes I got 2 gems, which makes a huge difference. |
| Apr 28 15:12:10 | 5m 02s | Dice Explorer | ♥ 1 | Solid game with interesting mechanics. It took some time to figure out, the big wall of text of how to play overwhelmed me a bit. Do you have to walk into the enemies before you can figure out their defense? That's how I did it but lost me a lot of life. Nice entry though! |
| Apr 28 15:20:02 | 7m 52s | So Deep in Space | ♥ 1 | The movement felt a bit too snappy and fast, making small movements almost impossible. For a game that's all about precision, this felt a bit weird and added to the difficulty. That being said, the way the asteroids enter the screen is very interesting, and the audio is very menacing. Nice game! |
| Apr 28 15:36:42 | 16m 40s | Miningsweeper | ♥ 1 | Cool take on minesweeper, different types of 'bombs' having different layers making you want to click on some 'bombs'. Nice idea! |
| Apr 28 17:08:17 | 1h 31m | Dive | ♥ 1 | Nice visual style, the music on top if it really sets the atmoshpere. Very relaxing! |
| Apr 28 17:47:25 | 39m 08s | Unto the Eight | ♥ 1 | This is a nice game, the art style is nice and the music adds to the atmosphere of the game. The main problem I have is that you have to know where to go or else you are going to die. Not having an easy way to manage your resources feels a bit harsh. Having firepits and stuff near delivery places rewards you for completing a delivery for example. Having only space for one package seems a bit weird as well, finding a package giver only realizing you can't deliver theirs yet, so having to go deliver your current package, then go back to the guy seems a bit of a roundabout way. Overall it is a complete game with a lot to discover, nice work! |
| Apr 28 18:01:24 | 13m 59s | GodMode | ♥ 1 | The art style is really cool! It feels like it has a lot of potential with the dash attack. Controller support is also very nice to have. With some polishing this can end up great! |
| Apr 29 07:28:37 | 13h 27m | Dahla's Journey | ♥ 1 | As others have said already, waiting for the enemies to move before you can move again takes the speed out of the game. I would love to have a 'wait' option to stand still for a turn. It's fun having to carefully choose your moves, but sometimes the best option is to wait or else you take damage. Also having no way to regain health makes the game a lot more difficult. This all being said, I still liked playing this game, would love to see where you take it from here! |
| Apr 29 07:42:55 | 14m 18s | Bumpysphere | ♥ 1 | Really relaxing experience. The music really set the mood. The controls were a bit weird, pressing space to go forward but changing directions with arrow keys (or a and d) did not feel very intuitive. I enjoyed it! |
| Apr 29 07:59:55 | 17m 00s | Search for the Undergem | ♥ 1 | Nice game, very relaxing. The upgrades you can get pretty fast so you don't have to grind out the money, I liked that. Solid audio as well, good job! |
| Apr 29 08:08:41 | 8m 46s | Go, Little Mole! | ♥ 1 | Solid platformer with really interesting mechanics! Really cute sprite for the mole as well. Music is a bop. Checkpoints are also really forgiving. Overall really solid! |
| Apr 29 08:18:13 | 9m 32s | Knee Deep in Magma | ♥ 2 | Nice platformer, solid level design! The jumping feels a bit stiff, but I liked that you can stop the jump early by releasing the button. The character model looks nice. Fun game! |
| Apr 29 08:25:00 | 6m 47s | One Deep Fall | ♥ 2 | Fun game! The power ups give some nice added depth, and I like that you can also get hit by the walls on the side. It's simple, but effective! |
| Apr 29 11:51:39 | 3h 26m | Odd Jobs | ♥ 1 | This game's humor is great, I liked every second of it. Cool game! |
| Apr 29 12:06:13 | 14m 34s | DUNGEON SMASHER | ♥ 1 | Really satisfying, although the game starts running really weird after a while. The visuals have a real impact to them! |
| Apr 29 12:25:03 | 18m 50s | The Fall | ♥ 1 | Fun little game, the movement felt a bit too slippy, but that also adds to the difficulty. |
| Apr 30 11:54:26 | 23h 29m | The Moore Contingency | ♥ 3 | Cool game with an interesting moving mechanic. Getting the hang of it took a while, and sometimes going left or going right didn't seem to go in the same direction as another time I press them. I like that the rope could also be cut with the saws, it makes sense. Some of the levels were a bit too long, and with dying starting you back at the beginning of the level, it feels very punishing. This could be mitigated by checkpoints, as others have said, or making the levels shorter. With some polish this is a really nice game, great effort from everyone involved! |
| Apr 30 12:11:33 | 17m 07s | Safe Cave | ♥ 1 | This is a really cool concept by not being able to manipulate gravity directly. This makes for interesting choices to make: do I pull the ufo to the other side first to go low on the ground or risk being sucked up to get to the other side faster? The level design helps really well to give these kind of choices, really nice job! My time was 314 seconds with 5 deaths, hope that that is nice for a first clear :D |
| Apr 30 12:24:24 | 12m 51s | Conspiracy Dive | ♥ 2 | Interesting game, nice puzzles. I feel like having the character set up in 3d is not really the correct choice, as he can be rotated to be just a thin line. It does fit in with the weirdness aesthetic though. |
| Apr 30 12:40:50 | 16m 26s | Deeper Into The Mind | ♥ 2 | This is a pretty cool game, I like the bullet hell vibe it has. The attacks of the enemies are also really fair, getting hit is really my own fault. A little more feedback on getting hit would be nice, I know there is flashing red, but that's not really where my eyes are looking when trying to do damage. Just a bit on the audio would be more than enough. It also is not clear how much health you have, but this was already mentioned in your comments as well. That being said, I still enjoyed playing it, the art is really nice and the fights are well made! |
| Apr 30 12:55:11 | 14m 21s | Deep Tweet | ♥ 2 | Cool game! Really cute talk the player into writing a poem. Very nice idea and really relaxing! |
