Apr 30 12:28:48 Currencies of Life ♥ 1 Congrats on your first game! The biggest thing that comes to mind after playing is the UX for firing shots. They stop wherever you click, which means the game is encouraging you to click on the very edge of the game's window for maximum range and quickest target hits. This is a little frustrating on the web build, because it's easy to click off the window. I'd recommend having the shots continue past the click, or make closer shots cost less. also I dig the music :)
Apr 30 17:17:51 4h 49m A Lively Village ♥ 1 It's very relaxing. As others stated, the result text is either too fast or too long.
Apr 30 17:29:47 11m 56s The Capitalist's Curse ♥ 2 Haha, I upgraded myself to death. Congrats on finishing! I hit a few of the bugs mentioned when trying to upgrade.
Apr 30 17:42:09 12m 22s Grim ♥ 1 Great game! The effects were nifty and the trade off for upgrades felt balanced. My only thought would be to differentiate the background color a bit more from the main character.
Apr 30 17:50:35 8m 26s Pass the Buck ♥ 1 I loved the theme. The music is great. It would be great to break up the text a bit, as least in the beginning.
Apr 30 18:04:06 13m 31s Bioenfluencer ♥ 2 Great concept! The matrix mechanic was seriously fun. I had a bit of trouble moving between the lab and the studio. My creatures wouldn't always show up.
Apr 30 18:10:53 6m 47s Procházka ♥ 1 Just beautiful. The art and music were lovely. I wish I could walk along a bit longer.
May 1 02:29:58 8h 19m MONGR ♥ 1 The pacing works really well. It feels good - an adorable take on a dark idea.
May 1 17:49:55 15h 19m Sand and Blood ♥ 1 Fun! I liked the big map, but sticking 1 heart closer to center would help me know what I'm looking for. Loved the SFX. Would it be possible to decrease the footstep volume relative to all of the others? Great job!
May 1 18:05:35 15m 40s CrazyAmbulance ♥ 1 Hilarious! This was really fun.
May 1 18:25:48 20m 13s Necromarket ♥ 2 What a great concept and fantastic execution! My only issue was with bounding boxes. I kept interacting with the wrong things.
May 2 02:26:57 8h 01m PigsyBanksy ♥ 0 I love that you pay a price for coin hording. Great visuals as well.
May 2 02:34:21 7m 24s NECROCAT 9000 ♥ 2 The sound was hilarious and I loved the art. I couldn't tell if I picked up the health from a dash or not.
May 2 02:49:55 15m 34s The Trials of Marzbān ♥ 0 I couldn't read the tree text fast enough so I'm not sure if I did it right, but interacting with the tree didn't seem to turn off hell mode for me. But it was otherwise great and creepy.
May 2 03:09:40 19m 45s Minimum Viable Piggy ♥ 1 This game was delightful! I loved the pig farts.
May 2 04:11:52 1h 02m Dusty ♥ 2 I love the feel of the pistol attack. It felt very impactful! And I really liked the background music, its a nice beat for this kind of game. With the shotgun I noticed a bit of a lag with the bullets and the screen shake. It wasn't much, but enough to make me go back to the other weapons that had a nicer feel. Really great job on this!
May 4 02:41:52 46h 30m Pilling Debt ♥ 2 Nice. It took me a while to get used to the flow, but it's really fun once you get it. Maybe consider changing the color on a few of the hazards. They are really similar in color to the background which makes them too hard to see when moving at high speeds.
May 4 02:51:07 9m 15s remnant. ♥ 2 The art and the ambiance were A++ on this! Very impressive for the short time span :)
May 4 02:59:05 7m 58s The Tree of Bounty ♥ 2 This is such an interesting concept and such a peaceful experience. It wasn't clear in the instructions which actions required a click in the center of a hex and which should be clicked on the edges. For example, it took me forever to thicken the branches because the knot felt like the natural place to click. Overall, it's a great game. I love the mechanics.
May 4 03:07:15 8m 10s Killing in the name of... ♥ 3 I love the concept. It's goofy in a way that's a perfect fit for the theme. Some alternate screams would have been good, because oof that is not a sound to listen on on headphones repeatedly. It also wasn't clear at first if there was a way to win. But maybe that's the point when it comes for sacrificing for the greater good
May 4 03:18:34 11m 19s Meter Maid DX ♥ 1 "This parking meter had hopes and dreams" I think is my favorite intro line from this entire competition. Catchy music, cute art, and fun gameplay. Really well done!
May 4 03:44:26 25m 52s Mint Sprint ♥ 0 I love this game! Consider adding a simple puzzle between stages 2 and 3 that only depends on the in/out direction. That way you don't have to make it explicit in the UI and it can be part of the learning/discovery process.
May 4 12:39:04 8h 54m The Price For Blood ♥ 3 This idea is pretty clever! The idea of a riot simulator is interesting, and it'd be curious to see that taken further.
May 4 12:51:52 12m 48s Virus the game ♥ 1 This one was a bit gross! But very on-theme. I'd have liked a different screen for loss/wins, but otherwise this was really well done.
May 4 13:03:36 11m 44s Brave Swordsman ♥ 1 I like the battle mechanic! It's a fun way to have this kind of fight. It's got a lot of potential! While fighting some characters, I had the game totally freeze up on me. I also encountered some really tricky controls so long as I had an xbox controller connected to my machine (the character would only move to the side, even if the controller wasn't registering inputs).
May 4 18:14:50 5h 11m Life of the Party ♥ 0 hahaha definitely archer ftw. This was lots of fun! I didn't end up switching around my points as much as I probably could have, so more incentives (or maybe more feedback on the difference in damage) would be helpful there. Really great job here!
May 5 06:30:07 12h 15m Tanemaki ♥ 4 This game is max chill and I absolutely love it. The audio is especially good, and the balance of sowing more seeds and losing your katamari ball as you plant/move feels like a perfect fit to the theme for me. I knew I was in trouble when I ended up very far away from the nearest fertile ground ;) Very well done!
May 5 06:45:28 15m 21s Don't Die, Eat Your Veggies ♥ 1 A very funny concept! Combining a keep-alive race with a farming simulator is clever :) I found myself tripping over the interface a little (repeatedly dropping and then mistakenly re-picking up the same item) But once I figured out where the items would drop, it was pretty easy to get going.
May 7 04:23:59 45h 38m Gladiator Souls ♥ 0 This was really fun! I appreciate the little animated tells before the enemy swings its blade. Details like that are important in this kind of game. I really enjoyed the danger of near-misses, but I also really enjoyed just running into a crowd of enemies in the later waves just to see if I could make it out alive again.
May 8 01:17:50 20h 53m Long live the king! ♥ 1 Really fun art! This game has a nice visual feel to it. It's a bummer about the extra time that you needed, but it's great that you were upfront about that. Keep at it! Next time you'll be faster :)
May 8 01:44:08 26m 18s Particle Overload ♥ 1 What an awesome idea! The particle effect is really nice, and I love the concept. Allowing the user to add their own song was a good touch, too. Since EDM was suggested, I gave that a shot and boy howdy it was worth converting some files over to wav to see that. Really well done :)
May 13 03:12:20 121h 28m A Small Rocket ♥ 0 Some other users liked the voices, but for me they were a distraction. The art, though, was very nice! Very well done overall!
May 13 03:18:57 6m 37s time to time ♥ 0 I love the spooky audio track. I agree that the camera was kinda high on the sensitivity side, but I dig the art! Well done :)
May 18 02:07:12 118h 48m Hell's reefs ♥ 1 Really awesome ambiance on this project! I liked how forlorn everything felt, the stark lighting and the music fit very well together. I wasn't very good at navigating the boat, but that kind of added to the mood in the end. Well done!
May 18 02:36:06 28m 54s Shaman Kaguya ♥ 1 I really liked the art on this project. The character design, especially the portrait, is very appealing! It's fun to play too. I started trying to kite enemies around the house to conserve my shots, which was a fun challenge in itself. I did lose track of the mouse cursor sometimes, which might be a color blindness thing. A higher contrast icon would help. Also, the camera shake is a little heavy. Great job overall, though! There's a lot in here for such a short timeframe.
May 18 02:48:08 12m 02s Your last 10 seconds ♥ 1 What a clever idea! This is a great take on the theme, and would make a pretty fun series of scenarios if you wanted to take this idea further. Well done!
May 18 06:42:18 3h 54m Robocide ♥ 0 The idea immediately made me think of guiding cats with a laser pointer. I'd love to see this released as a cat-herding game, it would be hilarious! I like the balance of spending your critters to make the other critters better, too. Well done!
May 18 06:54:07 11m 49s Blood Type Z ♥ 1 Cute character! And I enjoyed the music, it gives a nice nostalgic vibe. As others mentioned, the placeholder white boxes look like errors at first. I'd recommend using something slightly more if your art person gets waylaid next time. Even a splotch drawn in mspaint would be totally fine :) I think I'd like the jumps to hang in the air for just a little bit longer, too. Overall I like this one, and the umbrella fighting/blocking idea is fun, too!
