It was really buggy. Especially the character animations. The legs were sometimes flickering and the 3d printer is sometimes in front of the player and sometimes in the back.

The art style is great and characters conversations are a little bit repetitive, but they keep the player entertained.

lodugh 2019-05-09 22:27

Love the art style! I think it really has potential, with a bit more polish on world building and gameplay. I hope you continue working on it :)

archimagus 2019-05-10 00:23

The art style is pretty nice, and i like the idea of voice overs. I could forgive the really bad translations, but most of it just didn't make any sense, and the fact that the chatter just played over, and over, and over... I wanted to smash something. Also, I think I got stuck, or it's not finished or something. I calibrated all 3 antennas, and then there was a rocket sound, then everyone just said Come back later.

purpledartfrog 2019-05-10 21:39

Ehhhhm those chances aren't really bugfixes are they... More Sound more props  is that allowed?

uchiro 2019-05-10 21:57

@purpledartfrog It's PostLD update. I can change anything.

You can download win build and play in 72h LD version. Sadly, I can't place two WebGL builds for LD and PostLD on itch.io, so there are only win build for LD version.

@archimagus Thank you for feedback!

Sorry for translations. We didn't have time in the jam. So it was google translator 😳

We rewrote some texts, fixed timings for phrases and made understandable end of the game.

I will be very happy if you play updated version and say feedback about it. Thank you!

uchiro 2019-05-10 22:09

@lodugh Thank you for warm words!

We uploaded polished version. I will be glad to hear that we can improve in the updated version.

uchiro 2019-05-10 22:12

@franciszek-pyrc Thank you for feedback!

We fixed the most conspicuous bugs and upload polished version. I will be glad to get new feedback, if you have time for it.

In the jam version, the audio is buggy, and I wasn't quite sure where to go. But on a positive note, the art style and mood is really nice. The aesthetic reminds me of a more realistic Don't Starve. Nice work.

I decided to play the post-jam version too. I noticed a bug with the audio volume. When a voice is playing, if you exit a bunker, the voice will get louder. If a voice is playing when you enter a bunker, it will get quieter.

Russian is your first language, right? I don't speak Russian, but I've got some suggestions on how you can make your translations sound more natural to an English-speaking player.

**Original:** "Wake up. It's started. As agreed*:* meet in our bunkers." **Suggestion:** "Wake up. It's started. As agreed*,* meet in our bunkers."

**Original:** "My 3D printer is really bad, look for details for it in the *neighborhood*. Let's fix it and we can print 3 sets of seats for the rocket." **Suggestion:** "My 3D printer is really bad. Look for details for it in the *area*. Let's fix it and we can print 3 sets of seats for the rocket."

**Original:** "One of the parts was stolen by my brother*, look* in his bunker. He's right behind the rocket." **Suggestion:** "One of the parts was stolen by my brother*. Look* in his bunker*; he's* right behind the rocket."

**Original:** "*It was* the main part for the printer!" **Suggestion:** "*That's* the main part for the printer!"

**Original:** "The rest are lying around somewhere. Somewhere near the remains of humanity, ha." **Suggestion:** "The rest are lying around somewhere — somewhere near the remains of humanity. Ha!"

**Original:** "I used to love post-apocalypse*. Until it* was in it*, now* it is the most boring genre in the world." **Suggestion:** "I used to love post-apocalypse*, until I* was in it*. Now* it's the most boring genre in the world."

**Original:** "Imagine*! Huge* radioactive pumpkin! Nobody *will* believe *if we tell it! Only there is* nobody to tell." **Suggestion:** "Imagine*: a huge* radioactive pumpkin! Nobody *would* believe *us if we told them — only there's* nobody to tell."

That's as far as I got. I could only find 2 of the 3D printer pieces. I hope this is helpful, still.

I'm not sure about a needing of HP bar =\

uchiro 2019-05-11 18:29

@ransom Huge thanks for feedback!

Sorry for ears 😳. I just read about [limitation](https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/webgl-audio.html) of Unity Audio Effects in WebGL. Effects work only in win build. I fixed volume as temporary solution, but for better experience, you need to download win build 😟.

Yes, you right. Russian is our first language and we didn't pay enough attention to texts. Big thanks for remarks. I already applied them to the game and updated build.

You can find all items here: MapItems.png

Probably, you didn't find last detail in the dark bunker. In the next update I want to add highlighting, something like this: Highlighting.gif

We had some ideas about map (or minimap), but decided it will be too easy. What do you think about it?

I will be very pleased if you finish the game and say full feedback.

ivan-garcia-filho 2019-05-11 23:38

Awesome entry with an amazing art direction. I love post apocalyptic genres (do never believe in someone that do not love post apocalyptic genres!)

There's a lack of ambience sounds to bring the user to inside the wasteland, whispering winds, leaves shaking with the wind, maybe some random crows and buzards wraped into some reverberation to add depth to the scene and enhance the sensation of depth and space, and a different soundscape to every shelter to allow the user mainly distinguish outdoor from indoor scenes and also recognise the shelter by it's unique soundscape.

Also a lack of sfx for the character walk cycle, like the leather jacket shrugling, maybe some equipment bag shaking, the protagonist breath and some footsteps could add weight and presence to the character.

Few but not so important interactions sfx like the opening and closing of the shelters, some leaves shaking upon passing through the bushs.

The scene is rich but poor in movement, it's too static and lifeless, just add any sort of moving element, even a simple vertex shaders for the vegetation to wable would do the job, maybe some rats lurking from bush to bush with, crows and buzards over the trees flying far from you once you get close of the tree they are watching you or even eating some dead animal carcass, and even some particles like thumbleweeds, sandstorms, flying leaves or acid rain would add more movement and depth.

There's no challenge at all, but you could maybe add some kind of radioactive storm outside that quickly burns the protagonist health and whenever the user reaches the shelter the wounds get restored and ready to plan another route through the storm to achieve the next goal as fast as possible before dying to the radiation.

I have to say it at first - art style is awesoome!

And now something about a gameplay. I think the goal wasn't clear so much. I was messing around for some time until I got know there's the third bunker with uncle I guess. Gameplay is also really repetitive, but it could be pretty good for some chill-out. I think you should also remove the repetition of dialogues when you have to do something. I would rather have a to-do list instead of constantly hearing the noisy voice, it's kinda annoying.

As i said previously, art style is awesome, but there are some visual bugs. Music isn't bad, but and the voices sounds pretty good, but I think you should remove repetition of these.

Finally, it's not a bad entry, I've just written about some things I personally didn't like. Nonetheless, game looks like a solid game. Keep it up!

kacper 2019-05-12 22:46

Good job! :D

cheesepencil 2019-05-13 02:46

OH my gosh that ending! I can't believe I helped those jerks ____ __ ____ _____ ____ _______ __!!!

Great art. The characters "idle" conversation repeated too frequently, so frequently that it felt like they NEVER stopped talking.

But that is just a small complaint. I enjoyed playing it.

hwaet 2019-05-13 03:12

Some other users liked the voices, but for me they were a distraction. The art, though, was very nice! Very well done overall!

retti01 2019-05-13 19:02

Art style is awesome! "Love" the ending.

cursedembassy 2019-05-13 19:22

Wow! Very good job!

comicsans 2019-05-13 20:45

Ouch! Harsh. :) Good game though.

dining-philosopher 2019-05-13 21:46

Also love the art, especially the clothes! I'm not sure about the voices, I usually prefer reading text over voice actors anyway and the synth voices don't really make it better. Somehow the game reminded me of the film "Stalker", which is a really good thing.

multiplexor 2019-05-13 22:00

Welp, that ending made me feel bad :/

The art is gorgeous! The gameplay felt a bit repetitive by the end, but it was still enjoyable. The voice "acting" was quite weird, and I would have prefeered it if the characters would not repeat their sentences. But all in all, very good job!

Keep up the great work! :)

endofalltim 2019-05-13 22:45

Nice little twist at the end, and looks really nice. Only complaint is that in a game that's mostly people talking to you and not much else, you probably should've had actual voice acting.

behrooz 2019-05-14 04:13

good game just the woman talks too much and repetitive words! but generally I like these types of games

hangacs 2019-05-14 13:55

The art is beautiful. Meanwhile performance on my machine is bad. I think you should let the trees under screen which suddenly appear show earlier.

imphenzia 2019-05-16 23:15

The artwork really caught my attention with this game - it's a very nice style and very suitable for the game. Love it =) My only criticism for the art would be to make the run animation slightly more in tune with the rate of movement as the character floats about a bit - but that's just a minor thing. For me, it's basically a find collect mechanic so maybe not so innovative in the game design - still, great work!

island-jam-2-group-3 2019-05-20 21:53

I liked the art style and I had a good time playing but the voices repeating themself all the time and walking here and there were a bit annoying ^^U Nice entry!

2019-05-26 10:52

Very nice visual style. Environment and characters. I like this style.

But the sound is very annoying. My opinion is that a good abment is needed in this game. The visual tries, and the sound doesn't work. There is no atmosphere in this game without sound.

The gameplay is probably just not mine, but I don't really understand challenge. The hero is very slowly dies and replenish health in the shelter is boring.
