The game has great potential. Simplistic graphical style pleases the eye and eerie music fits the atmoshphere. Map is not much use thats for sure, but I guess that's part of this game's catch. Controls are a bit sketchy, and when I got near the goal my screen just went white and a soon after I got a game over. Not sure if that't inteded. Good job overall!

Link says HTML5(web) but its only the windows build?

amour-du-pain 2019-04-29 19:39

@pandan my bad, my first build was a Html one but as it turned out to be laggy, I've eventually chosen Windows. I'll try to implement Max & Linux builds soon if that's what you need :)

pandan 2019-04-29 20:27

Nah I don't need them! I'll download your game when i get to my home pc <3 I'd highly recommend getting a WebGL build out there! increases your games exposure 10 fold!

The mood of this game is very nice and i like the style. But I don't understand the map and I'm losing myself.

I like this game, pathfinding can be a bit rough at time and that map makes no sense to me but just going around in it feel pretty nice.

palsina 2019-05-15 17:08

Very evocative and serene. I would like a more direct control of the ship perhaps.

shunaky 2019-05-15 17:18

The mood of this game is really well done, super relaxing music, maybe some polishment on the pathfinding and some additions and this game might be a cool mobile

Awesome entry with amazing graphics and pleasing aesthetics.

The music drives the user with hope within a place surounded by sadness, i think you should also enhance the ambience sfx to bring the user to the ship's deck and feel more of the place you brought him/her.

You coud addd calm water loops, some water choking in the ship's hull, the hull's wood creaking and squeaking randomly, maybe some sign of life but also connected to death like some crows, some howling wind, ghostly whispers and screams with lot of reverberation to add depth, volumetry and the sensation of something haunted by the deads and also increase the presence to the lighthouses by adding some localized 3D sfx comming from them, like lots of dead souls screaming and oscilating the pitch and volume.

There's no clue of the lighthouse's reach, but, you could add more sunk ships around to give some clues and also improve graphicaly the level design.

The loss os depth caused by the ortographic camera makes it hard to navigaate and you could try to add some kind to hight fog, or reflections or scrolling textures to the water to distinguish paths you can navigate.

This looks really beautiful - I like the colors, the voxel / low-poly look, and the lighting. Also, from a gamedev/technical perspective, the map generation makes me curious too, including the path-finding, navigation, and collisions =) As for the game play, I navigated around the map for a while but I somewhat lost patience wandering about the map as I couldn't see myself on the minimap - but I guess that is part of the design that one should identify from the obstacles where you are and figure things out from there? Thumbs up, especially visually! =)

OMG so glad I discovered your game just in time! And I really hope you can get enough ratings. I loved everything: the 3d pixel art is amazing and so is the music. I loved the font, the use of colour and lights in the scene and the smooth controls. The invisibility button is a great idea and the invisible gosthly effect is beautifully rendered. The concept also is fascinating. I hope you will develop it more, it has a great potential. Good job!

Good job on completing a game on time! I had a pretty hard time trying to find where I was on the map and the game lagged a bit too much for me to be able to finish it. I loved the music though and the graphics looked very clean as well.

One thing that was confusing me a bit were the highlighted parts of the ocean. It felt like I was supposed to go there, which I think was one of the main reasons why I got lost. Perhaps lower the brightness of those bright spots, alternatively make it clear that there's nothing there for the player.

The concept is interesting though and I liked that you even had time to write some story around it! Great job!

@amour-du-pain Came here to play your game too, and guess what? I did it already hahaha Great game, btw ^^

Nice game idea and love the relaxed soundtrack. I struggled to orient myself with the map. Good graphics, good job!

jaywoody 2019-05-17 21:51

The music is very nice and the theme for the game also works here. The mechanic of not being seen but using more of the life that is left is a good one. I had some trouble orienting the map at first but got it after a while.

Very nice job for the compo time frame!

Really awesome ambiance on this project! I liked how forlorn everything felt, the stark lighting and the music fit very well together. I wasn't very good at navigating the boat, but that kind of added to the mood in the end. Well done!

von-himik 2019-05-18 11:59

Brilliant job! Nice graphics + fonts + soundtrack really create the desired atmosphere. Easy, non-stressing gameplay allows you to simply stick to this game. XD

I feel great potential in this.

GG sinon :)

dock-frankenstein 2019-05-20 17:20

Wow, the music is amazing!
