Dec 3 15:35:00 The Sacrificial Trail ♥ 1 Interesting idea. I liked the unexpected unicorn requesting coffee. Definitely a Pixel Prophecy game! :) I did run into what might be a bug. I had 1 fatigue and took a road in fair condition and it said I was overly fatigued afterwards. Not sure if that's expected or not. Looking forward to the video!
Dec 3 15:50:33 15m 33s Purgatory ♥ 1 I like the visuals to this game and the music. I also had a hard time figuring out what I was supposed to do at first. Overall, nice work though.
Dec 3 16:13:36 23m 03s BulletHealth ♥ 1 I really liked the visuals in this game. Nice work on them. I like your take on the theme, where each shot you take is a sacrifice. I would have liked a cursor reticle as aiming was pretty tricky and movement was really fast, almost too fast. Overall though, great job.
Dec 3 16:19:43 6m 07s Infiltrate ♥ 1 I like the idea of having to sacrifice an ability if you fail. It does make the game harder after you've already failed though, but that's not something to think about for a jam game. :) I did have some issues with the controls. The mouse sensitivity was set far too low for me, making it hard to move the mouse and combined with the movement that went way too fast, it made the controls difficult. I also ran into a bug where I went into a wall and fell out of the world. Probably a Unity bug, but I thought I'd let you know. Overall, nice work!
Dec 3 19:45:20 3h 25m The M.O.N.K. ♥ 1 Very nice work on the visuals and music here, very polished. It was hard, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I would have liked to see a visual indicator (other than the health value decreasing) indicating that my character was taking damage. The music change when being hunted was smart. Overall, great job!
Dec 3 19:55:48 10m 28s Z-Trail ♥ 1 I really liked the motor and brake sound effects. Nice work. This was a surprisingly charming game. All my party members died, but I had fun in the process!
Dec 3 20:02:48 7m 00s Oblation ♥ 1 Wow was this game moody! You nailed the creepy vibe you were going for. I got goosebumps from that first sacrifice. Very nicely done! Excellent first compo entry!
Dec 3 20:07:14 4m 26s Leave Them Behind ♥ 0 I like the mechanics, particularly the grabbing mechanic. It's not one you typically see. The visuals were consistent, although I will admit I would've liked some more personality in the characters I was controlling. The puzzles were well designed. You did a good job here, nice work.
Dec 3 20:14:05 6m 51s Archibald's Snobbish Journey ♥ 1 This was really great. I loved the throwbacks to previous LD themes! You had a unique take on the theme and it worked well. Nice work!
Dec 3 20:19:16 5m 11s Icy Golems ♥ 1 I'm very impressed with the polish on what you have here. The visuals are stunning. The animation and particle effects are spot on. Very nice work! The level designs are good too. At first I was confused as I thought you could only have one golem per exit slot, but then I tried it and it was fine. Overall, very good entry!
Dec 3 20:40:23 21m 07s Clucked Up! ♥ 2 I got 72! The amount of polish on this is crazy good. Nice work!
Dec 3 20:46:16 5m 53s Stranger ♥ 0 Great artwork here and nice polish on the effects. It took me a minute to figure out why the big guy was dying, but after that I was good on how the mechanics worked. Great job!
Dec 3 20:56:34 10m 18s Eldritchual ♥ 0 I really like the graphics you have here and the sound as well. It did take a while to get the second recruit the first time through, but I think that's because the one doing the recruiting was unsure. This proved to be very hard and I didn't get very far, but I enjoyed my time with your game. Nice work!
Dec 3 21:02:57 6m 23s Blót ♥ 1 This was visually stunning and the audio was really good as well! The platforming was a little floaty and hard to control, but it was manageable. Overall, you did a really great job. Looking forward to the timelapse!
Dec 3 21:24:43 21m 46s Mount 'n' Glory: A Glorious Grail Quest ♥ 2 This was fun. Unfortunately after a dozen or so tries, I had to bow out of the last level. I just couldn't get there in time. I really like the mechanics, even if sacrificed followers hovering in midair doesn't make sense. I would have liked if the level didn't end until all the followers caught up with you. It's a small detail, but I think it would been a nice effect. Also, some momentum in the controls would be nice. Since most platformers have that feature, it's ingrained in my muscle memory. It was tough to learn the proper jump timings because of that.
Dec 3 22:02:48 38m 05s A flight to the gallows ♥ 0 Great polish. The visuals and sound were great and meshed together well. Very moody game and interesting story. A little slow, especially when you die and have to start over at a checkpoint. A small issue. Overall, well done!
Dec 3 22:17:01 14m 13s Aetherspirit ♥ 1 I love the adorable aesthetic as well as the mechanics and the take on the theme. The controls were a little tricky, but manageable. I had fun playing this. Good job!
Dec 3 22:23:22 6m 21s Save the little ones ♥ 1 The visuals are the strength of this game, they are very well done. The controls are reasonably well done, though the hitbox on the player seems like it might be a bit too big (making some of the narrow jumps was tricky). Overall, this is a solid entry. Well done!
Dec 3 22:39:09 15m 47s Total Party Kill ♥ 0 I love the visuals here, very well done. The music was good, but I'm not a fan of the generated sound effects. It's not specific to this game, just my personal preference in general. The mechanic was great, even though the controls were very tricky to adjust to. Overall, this is a great entry. Nice work!
Dec 3 22:48:10 9m 01s Whale-mas ♥ 1 I like the low poly aesthetics you've got here. It's a good, coherent style. The little speech blurbs were adorable and fit well with the game. It's a stretch for the theme usages though. Overall, great entry!
Dec 4 15:19:37 16h 31m Doki Doki no Artichokie ♥ 1 I'm not sure what's going on, but this has crashed on me twice. Once in the title screen and another about 30 seconds into the game. I haven't rated the game, but thought I'd let you know.
Dec 4 15:41:05 21m 28s Goatrifice ♥ 2 This was a well polished game, nice work on that. The visuals were striking and the audio fit the game well. The controls were a little tricky, I think primarily because the goat's direction snapped to certain angles instead of smoothly moving with the analog stick on my controller. I really liked when the meteors started falling and would have liked to have seen some variety in the environmental effects for each wave, although I understand the time limitations. Overall, this is an impressive entry. Great work!
Dec 4 15:52:21 11m 16s Expendibots ♥ 1 That was pretty hard! Graphics were great and controls (xbox controller) were smooth. Music and sounds worked well. Overall, great job!
Dec 4 15:56:44 4m 23s Sacrifice to win ♥ 1 I really like the concept here and the pixel art was cute and effective. The platform placement when you die didn't seem to be where I would have expected it to be, so that took some getting used to. There were also some levels with the moving spikes that made it tricky because they came on screen so quickly. The sound effects were a bit harsh, but they were effective in relaying game state. Overall though, you did a nice job on this.
Dec 4 16:33:23 36m 39s H E R D ♥ 1 I like your take on the theme. I also liked how you gave names to each of the sheep, to make it more personal when one of them died. It made you want to save as many as you could. It's too bad you can't hit the wolf. That could make for some interesting interactions. The visuals seemed a little disjointed, with the 3D models combined with the flat 2D more cartoonish graphics, but nothing looked bad. Overall, you did a great job. Nice work!
Dec 4 17:06:43 33m 20s Airtime ♥ 1 I scored 592! This was a fun game. The graphics were cute and well done. Not much in terms of audio, but the boings were cute too. At first it was tough determining where your first little guy was going to come in from, but once I figured it out that was fine. Angle of travel was also sometimes tricky, but for most levels it was fine. Overall, very nice work!
Dec 4 19:11:18 2h 04m Disassembly Line ♥ 2 Very nice graphics and sound. Reminds me a bit of my LD39 entry with the flinging of robots, although your game is much more polished. I found aiming a little bit tricky, but that might be because I'm playing on a 4k monitor and the game window was rather small. Overall, it's a fun game. Nice work!
Dec 4 19:31:50 20m 32s Rogues Like Beer ♥ 1 Excellent! I love the art style and the music. The gameplay was so smooth. Aside from a couple glitches when holding the stones and jumping, everything was spot on. It's amazing how much polish you got in one weekend. Very impressive work!
Dec 4 19:57:26 25m 36s Ritual Slaughter ♥ 1 Interesting take on the theme. When it said I had to sacrifice 5 (5!!!) things, I knew this would be tough, and it sure was. This was an intense experience. Well done!
Dec 4 20:31:39 34m 13s Old Ways ♥ 1 I like the graphics, but do wish there were more. The landscape was wide open, which was good, but there was little variety in it. The concept is great and I love the idea of scooping up cows with a wheelbarrow. Overall, nice work!
Dec 4 21:13:24 41m 45s Regain Power ♥ 1 This was a lot of fun. An impressively large map for a compo game. The sound and graphics sucked me into the world. I do wish that the ship would've crashed in the middle of the map (so I had to explore both up and down) and so that when sacrifice was needed, I didn't have to go all the way back. A minor complaint. Overall, this is a great entry!
Dec 5 13:32:50 16h 19m Planet 43 ♥ 1 Congrats on completing your first Ludum Dare! Welcome to the addiction. The facial expressions of the planet are great. It really helps in determining the state of the planet. I appreciate the clever use of "Ludum" as the name of the creatures. I think some simple background music and sound effects would've gone a long way to enhancing the experience. What you have here is good though, so be proud of your work!
Dec 5 13:38:31 5m 41s Ants ♥ 1 Wow, this was a really unique take on the theme and the mechanics were really great. I liked the graphical style, but they really didn't look like ants to me. Minor complaint really. Kudos for putting in game instructions. It really helped to figure out how things worked. Overall, great job!
Dec 5 13:49:40 11m 09s Alien Escape ♥ 0 The visuals here are stunning. Very well done. I would have liked to be able to open the instructions from within the game, as I have terrible short term memory and couldn't remember some of the instructions without restarting. Regardless, this is very impressive for 48 hours. Congrats!
Dec 5 13:57:25 7m 45s Four Deities ♥ 0 The visuals are simple, but effective and coherent. I love the sound effects. So many entries are omitting sounds and to me, sounds are needed to round out the experience. I did run into a bug (I think) where many days had passed (something like 20) and there were only two villagers. I don't know what I was doing wrong, I tried to keep the resources as even as I could. Very likely I played it wrong, but just thought I'd put that out there. Overall, this is a nice game. Good job!
Dec 5 14:43:31 46m 06s Rift Plugger ♥ 5 Graphics and audio were fantastic. Really set the mood of the game. The difficulty progression was pretty good. There did seem to be some fickleness in getting things to cover the hole. Several times I got hit because a monster came out of the hole right as I was about to fill it. Overall though, I had fun and this was well made. Good job!
Dec 5 20:18:31 5h 35m Sanity Wars ♥ 1 I like the aesthetics of this game. The visuals and audio went well together to really set the mood. I had some difficulty with the controls. Making some jumps were more difficult than they probably should have been. Overall though, nice work!
Dec 5 20:29:24 10m 53s Sacrificio Inc. ♥ 1 This game has an astonishing level of polish. I'm very impressed. The visuals and sound are spot on. Smooth animation and gameplay as well. The implementation seems flawless. My only complaint is that the game was too easy. Amazing job!
Dec 5 20:35:31 6m 07s Vampyre ♥ 1 I really like the mechanics here. I haven't seen anything like it before. The visuals and sound effects meshed well together and were well done. I did run into a bug where i turned into a bat, shot the dude, then jumped down to the door and when I hit the ground I turned to stone. Then I respawned on the other side of the light column and couldn't cross. Overall though, great execution!
Dec 5 20:40:46 5m 15s Ember's Light ♥ 1 Beautiful graphics and music. I really like the lighting effects. I was happy to see that controller was supported, but sad to see that I couldn't use the D-Pad. I prefer using the D-Pad over the analog stick for platformers. Jumping was also tricky. It seemed there was too much momentum behind the jumps. Overall though, this is a great entry.
Dec 5 20:43:44 2m 58s Jesus Take the Wheel ♥ 2 Funny premise and well executed. The music fit the game perfectly. I love the way you did Jesus' arms. Nice work!
Dec 5 20:51:06 7m 22s Wanyudo Island ♥ 1 Congrats on completing your first jam! Hopefully it won't be your last. I found three instances of gold and there were some cows heading to the volcano. I was a bit confused. I'd recommend putting the instructions in the game play instead of on the title screen. A lot of people will either not see it or forget what it says (like me). Anyway, great job and hope to see you next time!
Dec 6 19:45:14 22h 54m Potty Panic ♥ 1 Funny idea and I love that you can pick up everything, even the appliances and the tub. The graphics and sounds were excellent. The controls were tricky to use. I would've rather seen a single button used for both picking up and throwing. Having to switch back and forth make things a bit confusing for me. Overall though, great job!
Dec 6 19:50:41 5m 27s Death Metal Crowd Pusher ♥ 3 This is awesome! The music and graphics are top notch and the game was a lot of fun. Other than lacking a title screen (which would be my only suggestion), there's nothing I can recommend changing.
Dec 6 20:40:32 49m 51s Superstar ♥ 1 I really like the visuals here and the water mechanics were spot on. I also ran into the problem where I didn't respawn after falling off the bottom.
Dec 6 20:43:53 3m 21s Dark Villagers ♥ 2 Beautiful looking and sounding game. Excellent job nailing the aesthetics and mood. I was a bit confused on what exactly I was supposed to do, so I would recommend an in-game tutorial of some sorts.
Dec 6 20:51:41 7m 48s Apatanat: the benefit of all. ♥ 2 I like the graphical style you went with. The simple black and white drawings work well. Unfortunately, I walked around for 5 minutes and wasn't able to do anything. I'm sure there's something I'm missing, but nothing I tried didn't anything other than "I don't need that now." Maybe some hints or guidance for the beginning would help.
Dec 20 19:17:04 334h 25m Not Me! ♥ 1 This was a really well done game. The level of polish is great and the take on the theme is unique. I have bad short term memory, so it became a struggle near the end to remember all the clues at times, but that's on me more than the game. Overall, great job!
Dec 20 19:20:23 3m 19s Wrath of The CubeKing ♥ 1 I like the aesthetic you have in this game, but unfortunately, I wasn't sure what I was supposed to be doing. It was very dark and hard to see. The mouse sensitivity seemed a bit high too. The music really made me feel unsettled, so kudos for that!
Dec 20 19:23:05 2m 42s Just delete them ♥ 0 I really like the take on the theme. The idea of playing the game outside of the game is incredible. Way to think out of the box!
