Aug 12 23:12:36 Where's Creepo? ♥ 1 This was surprisingly fun and surprisingly difficult. I wish Gus would walk a little faster, so I don't use so much of the time waiting for him to get places.
Aug 12 23:23:43 11m 07s Way Up! ♥ 1 Pretty fun! The controls are a little fiddly, sometimes the guy would move two spaces or turn twice when I really only wanted one. The drag feature doesn't seem to do much. The music fit the game well, and didn't become grating. I scored 343 points!
Aug 12 23:27:33 3m 50s [Running Out of Spac] ♥ 1 I like the turning animation for the ship! I wish you could hold down the button to shoot more, so I didn't have to click so much.
Aug 12 23:38:11 10m 38s Oh no! This is monsters! ♥ 1 I like your sounds and music. They fit the game well.
Aug 12 23:46:46 8m 35s Running out of Keys ♥ 2 This is a really clever idea. I think it'd be easier to play if the keys had the letters on them though. I use a split keyboard, and it was sometimes hard to tell which keys were which.
Aug 13 00:00:11 13m 25s Rising Tide ♥ 2 I can't figure out how to build factories 😞
Aug 13 00:19:44 19m 33s Overgrowth ♥ 1 This was pretty fun! I only made it to 350 research points :(. I liked the music! I wish that the click area for the dollar signs was bigger, because it's pretty easy to click near them and have it not pick up.
Aug 13 00:49:07 29m 23s Mike's Movers ♥ 1 I like this game, though the time limits are _very_ aggressive. I made it to 239172 points. I would maybe tone down the "you can't place this" sound, it's pretty harsh.
Aug 13 00:57:57 8m 50s Get Off My Boat, You! ♥ 1 "Yea!" "Yea!" lolol I wish I could maybe slow the boat down a bit, it was pretty hard to steer. Nice game!
Aug 13 01:05:25 7m 28s ReMind LD-42 ♥ 2 The game is a little slow at the moment, but I like the idea. It might help to add some variety to the memories, or have them appear many at once, or in different places, so you have to sort through which are good or bad.
Aug 13 01:14:57 9m 32s Zero Grace Megadrive ♥ 2 I really like the graphics and sound for this one. The font is pretty hard to read, it took me a long time to figure out how to start the game.
Aug 13 01:22:56 7m 59s Parking Ships ♥ 1 I like this idea, like a sort of geometric space valet. It's somewhere between a jigsaw puzzle and a car-driving game. I did have an issue where sometimes I couldn't click on new ships.
Aug 13 01:39:52 16m 56s Ultimate Heat Death ♥ 1 I think I finished it? I got to a yellow thing. Overall, I really enjoyed the boosting mechanic, it just feels really good and has a nice sound effect. The climbing is a cool idea too, though the execution isn't perfect. Climbing on the bottom of asteroids works pretty well, but climbing up the sides sometimes gets stuck. It might also help to let me zoom out the camera a little, so I can aim my jumps better. Nice game, I think with some polish this could be the foundation of a really fun platformer.
Aug 13 02:07:32 27m 40s TENORMS ♥ 1 This is a good start to a basic platform-shooter. I think it would help if you made the slime a slightly different color, as it can be hard to tell apart from the grass if you're not looking closely. I'd also like to be able to shoot faster, but that could just be that I'm not very good at the game.
Aug 13 02:29:32 22m 00s Secret Knight ♥ 2 A stealth game is a great interpretation of the theme. More villagers don't get in the way, but they do mean more witnesses. A very impressive game from 48h. I love the game over sequence. I'd love to have something in the game that says what the controls are, I had trouble figuring out the wall thing, but that's a minor gripe.
Aug 13 02:46:02 16m 30s cargOS ♥ 1 This one is intense! I was expecting it to be fairly straightforward, but moving the cursor while the arm is in motion takes some getting used to, I got a lot better at remembering it as the game went on. I think it would be nice if the crane could remember a few commands, so that it didn't overwrite if I clicked again while it was moving. I did run into a small issue while I was rushing towards the end, where a box got stuck halfway on one of the teleporters so I couldn't drop things on the teleporter anymore :(. I would have taken a screenshot for you, but I lost a few seconds later. Graphics and sound are pretty good too!
Aug 13 02:51:25 5m 23s Climb ♥ 1 The graphics for this game are pretty cute. Especially the main character, which I think is really well done. It looks like you have some like, speckled artifacts maybe from scanning them in? I think it'd look better if you did a little editing to clean up the sprites a little. Gameplay is pretty standard, but seems to work well. I think it might help if you had the items spawn from above the top of the screen so that you have more time to react to them.
Aug 13 02:59:44 8m 19s Countdown ♥ 1 This is a pretty cool idea, and I think it fits the theme very well, even amidst other games with similar concepts. I made it 95 seconds! The visuals of the countdown happening all around you are very engaging and make it easy to eyeball where you want to be and where not to be. The jumping is a little glitchy, the ball sometimes sticks to the sides of the hexagons. I like the music, but I don't like the sound effect for jumping, I tried using the buttons to turn it off, but couldn't figure out how they work. Thanks for making it!
Aug 13 03:13:25 13m 41s Merge Machine ♥ 0 This is a cool idea, and the look is slick. The game is too easy though, until the cross pieces appear it's basically impossible to lose. I couldn't figure out how the cross shaped pieces worked, they didn't collapse when I put them in a row like the other pieces, and they didn't work when I matched all their ends... not sure how to get rid of them.
Aug 13 03:27:10 13m 45s Alternating Space ♥ 1 The portal makes this a nice twist on this style of two-character platformer. Mechanically, the portal works very well. The levels are very difficult though! I had a really hard time beating them. I also think the jump sound is too loud compared to the other sounds, but otherwise the art and sound are nice.
Aug 13 03:34:47 7m 37s Boy saves local beachfront arcade from aggressive mannequins by throwing stones ♥ 0 I'm really impressed with your post-modern interpretation of the beach. A fascinating graphical decision. Abstract graphics aside, the controls for this game are very sharp, which is basically the only thing that matters in a game like this. My two gripes are that the fast enemies are too fast (they get me almost every time, esp when the ring is smaller), and that the high score thing resets when the game ends, rather than remembering the high score.
Aug 13 03:47:01 12m 14s Volka ♥ 2 This is a great game! The graphics and sound are good, it has a nice mix between an arcade-y kind of mechanic and a puzzle-y kind of mechanic, easy responsive controls. It's just good. Solid work! Would have been nice to see music, but doesn't really need it. Would make a great mobile app too
Aug 13 03:57:59 10m 58s LD42 Running out of Space ♥ 1 This game is surprisingly fun! It could use some background music, and the AI could use a little work (they can't hit you if you stand still), but otherwise, this is the beginnings of a pretty solid spaceships game.
Aug 13 04:03:35 5m 36s Le Parking ♥ 1 Graphics and audio are really good in this one! The cars handle pretty well, though I had some trouble getting in and out of the cars. I think it might help if the entrance to the parking garage were a little bigger, it can sometimes be hard to get in and out (I suppose that's kind of the point)
Aug 13 04:18:39 15m 04s DON'T RUN OUT OF SPACE ♥ 1 There have been a few games like this so far. This is the best one I've seen. The graphics are just yes, the sound is pretty good too. For the most part, it plays like you'd expect it to, and that's a good thing. The screen feels a little dark to me, idk if there's a way to brighten it up. I'd like it if the explosions felt a little more impactful as well. They're useful, but they don't feel as cool as they could.
Aug 13 04:21:34 2m 55s Slay The Slimes ♥ 1 I like the art style of this game! It controls pretty smoothly. I think you could do a couple things to improve the experience, like showing in advance where the slimes are going to appear, so they don't land on you. Or making the platforms a little bigger so you have room to land on them.
Aug 13 05:30:59 1h 09m Noah's Help! ♥ 1 Well, this is adorable. The animals are so cute, and theres a good puzzle game here too, some of the level design is really clever. I had a lot of fun playing it, and cleared all the levels! I don't love the "yay" sound effect when you clear a level, it's a little harsh. Also, I sometimes had a hard time telling what shape the really big animals were, but these are minor complaints about a good game. Well done!
Aug 13 05:40:28 9m 29s Sea of Bells ♥ 1 I can honestly say that I have no idea what just happened but that it was pretty cool.
Aug 13 06:05:25 24m 57s Your PC run out of space ♥ 0 lololol the summer sale at the end was just the surprise this game needed. I do wish I could cut the games into more than two pieces though, just really slash the devil out of them.
Aug 13 08:26:45 2h 21m Ice n Fire ♥ 0 A good concept for a shooter. I like the ice-walls that get left behind when I miss, and then I have to switch over to the fire weapon to cut through them. Shame I can't burn the enemies, but I suppose that's not really the point. I did feel that sometimes the enemies would appear too close to me, not sure if that's just because I didn't notice though.
Aug 13 08:41:32 14m 47s They Came while I was jogging ♥ 2 I like the flavor/scenario you've set up, some hapless fellow just trying to go for a run and gets stuck with an alien invasion. I think it'd help if you added some information on what you're supposed to do in each stage, as it can be hard to figure out. Unfortunately, I ran into an issue where the game crashed during the stage with a sphere and red X's.
Aug 13 08:44:24 2m 52s 42 Pillars of Stone ♥ 1 Seems like a good foundation for a shooter game. I think it would help if you leaned into your concept a little more, and really made me feel like a bad-ass fire mage. If there were lights and explosions when I shot the enemies, it'd feel really cool even though the mechanics would still be simple.
Aug 13 08:55:27 11m 03s A blob with a destination - LD42 ♥ 1 I think what's really impressive about this game is the number of mechanics and ideas you've managed to cram into 48 hours. It keeps the game feeling quite varied and interesting. I made it to level 9 but then got kind of confused and couldn't keep up with all the mechanics. I really like the animations for the main unit, the lasers, and the lava. A little rough around the edges, but it demonstrates lots of good ideas, and could be really fun with some more polish.
Aug 13 09:17:03 21m 36s JUNKYARD ♥ 1 This is pretty engrossing for how simple it is. I think the controls could use a little help, it's frustrating when you accidentally mouse over another type and lose the line you've been drawing. I like the art style as well!
Aug 14 04:44:33 19h 27m Aeromancer ♥ 1 This is very well put together, I did finish all the levels, though I didn't time it because I though the game would do it for me. The abilities are varied, and lots of fun. My gripe is with the combat, which I feel kind of puts a damper on the whole experience. The fighting is very twitchy, in what felt like it wanted to be more of a puzzle game. I think it would help if you made the length of the punch a bit longer, and the duration of the stun a lot longer. There's a minor bug where the abilities don't recharge when you die. Fun, and very impressive for the time limit!
Aug 14 06:48:55 2h 04m More and More Gravestones ♥ 1 I don't really understand what I'm supposed to do, I dug a new grave but it wouldn't let me bury anybody in it.
Aug 14 07:07:57 19m 02s Bookbinding ♥ 0 Well, this was a lot of fun. I made it to 364.65. My only critique would be to maybe add some more visual variety, after doing it for a while, it sort of all blends together.
Aug 14 07:12:38 4m 41s Running out of Space ♥ 1 This is a cool idea but it's kind of impossible... you can land the first one if you use up all your spaces, not so sure about the second one.
Aug 14 07:26:05 13m 27s Chief Data Engineer ♥ 0 This is a fun puzzle game. The limited space reminds me a lot of those old RushHour toys. I had fun playing it. It could use music.
Aug 14 07:53:32 27m 27s Personal Space ♥ 3 I did it! I liked the walking sound. I don't really understand what the vision thing was... I spent a lot of time hiding from some unseen threat in the stairwell. Perhaps that's intended social commentary...
Aug 28 21:19:04 349h 25m Polterplot ♥ 0 Well this was cute :D. Fun graphics and sounds. I didn't really feel like the strategy of which types of spectres beat which other types was really relevant because we both had so much space and seeds were so constrained that you just grabbed and planted whatever was spawning near you, I won the game with sheer numbers by just grabbing up all the seeds. I feel like maybe the bomb guys are supposed to destroy the plots and make there be less space or something, but that didn't really happen for me, so the theme didn't come through so much as I always had more room to plant than there were seeds available.
Sep 3 07:22:35 130h 03m Roguenoc ♥ 1 It's very neat that you guys got random level generation in for the jam! As others have said, the turning is very slow. I confess I was a bit lost while playing. Most of the text wasn't in english which, maybe was part of the story? But made it difficult for me to understand. I did seem to be getting bigger, but couldn't really tell why. Eventually I got stuck and couldn't proceed. I think if what you guys were after was a chance to work on procedural generation, then you've succeeded. But I think from a gameplay perspective, the game would have been better off if you'd spent more time on developing the challenges, choices, and interface of the game using a static level, and then added procedural generation later.
