Aug 12 22:41:54 Lab ♥ 1 Interesting idea, and I like the visuals. I wish I could hold the arrow keys to move, as I'm very impatient and will destroy my wrists playing this. :-P
Aug 12 23:00:39 18m 45s Home ♥ 1 Great work for such a fast turnaround! Every round only lasted about 30 seconds for me though, as the space runs out extremely quickly.
Aug 12 23:04:21 3m 42s Touch The Thingy ♥ 1 Haha, was pleasantly surprised to receive dolphins!
Aug 12 23:09:48 5m 27s Sharp Moss ♥ 1 I really like the destruction mechanic, and the diminishing level space fits the theme nicely! I had a hard time reading some of the text and had a few weird collision bugs, but you did a great job!
Aug 12 23:15:36 5m 48s Rampart ♥ 2 Wow, great pixel art! Clever mechanics as well, that's a great way for us to be able to claim some space back. Really well thought through, good job.
Aug 13 02:43:40 3h 28m Get Comfortable ♥ 1 Haha, this is a really clever idea. I relate intensely to this game. It did seems like I could get stuck in certain positions, but I suppose that's not completely unrealistic. Good work!
Aug 13 03:06:21 22m 41s Ultimate Heat Death ♥ 1 I really like the climbing mechanics! It did fail to latch on a couple times, but overall it was really interesting.
Aug 13 03:19:36 13m 15s Get Comfortable ♥ 0 This is really clever and fits the theme quite well. I love the graphics and sound, and all of the different position bonuses.
Aug 13 03:21:37 2m 01s Bag of Devouring ♥ 0 Really great models and animation. I had a hard time getting the dragging and dropping mechanic to work correctly.
Aug 13 03:27:06 5m 29s Stack Overflow ♥ 1 Everything works well technically, but it is pretty difficult to navigate. It would be awesome to be able to rotate the whole field around to get a better sense of the state of the game. I like the idea you had for the music speed changing with the blocks.
Aug 13 03:30:29 3m 23s The Flesh Pit ♥ 1 Great idea for running out of space! I love the artwork and the weapon mechanics. I wish I could set it to fullscreen, as it was tiny on my monitor. Is there a way to do that?
Aug 13 03:34:02 3m 33s Crystalmancer ♥ 1 Fantastic art and music! I had a hard time using the hammer, and couldn't seem to get very far, but I am really impressed with the polish on the assets.
Aug 13 03:38:55 4m 53s TINY TOWNS ♥ 3 I feel pretty stupid, but I couldn't figure out the first puzzle :-/. Beautiful artwork and really clever design though.
Aug 13 03:42:49 3m 54s Count your Steps (or you will run out of space) ♥ 1 Great job with the modeling! There are some good levels as well. I do wish there were a way to restart the current level (if there is let me know!).
Aug 13 03:50:40 7m 51s Secret Knight ♥ 2 Wow, I love the aesthetics of this game! The gameplay ideas are really clever and well thought-out, but I had a hard time getting the walls to behave the way I expected. I'm never sure where they'll be placed. That being said, I love that you can rotate them after placement.
Aug 13 03:57:48 7m 08s LD42 Running out of Space ♥ 1 The little voxel models are adorable, and everything seems to work as expected. I think that my armor can go into negative values though, as it took a long time to add anything to the meter after I lost it.
Aug 13 04:01:16 3m 28s Armageddon ♥ 0 Nice job! The graphics are really interesting, and the mechanics are solid. I think perhaps the fire spreads a bit too fast, but that's subjective.
Aug 13 15:47:29 11h 46m DE/VOID ♥ 2 This is a fantastic idea. I love the minimal aesthetic and the gameplay is so clever. I also appreciate that they stop at size 42. Honestly, this could be a great mobile game or something (though the controls might be a bit difficult to figure out). I could see this growing into something even better. Definitely one of the most enjoyable games I've found so far. Well done!
Aug 13 23:33:56 7h 46m S.P.A.C.E. Module Collectors ♥ 1 I win! It's great to have a true ending to an LD game. Nice job. The procgen works really well (if a bit limited in variety). The difficulty is well-balanced, challenging but not frustrating. I would suggest having a deadzone for the joysticks; mine is a little loose and always moved the camera a little even when I wasn't touching it at all. The voice acting was very amusing as well :-P
Aug 13 23:39:42 5m 46s Surrounded ♥ 1 Nice and polished for such a short dev time! I am particularly fond of the little indicators that appear on the edges to show where enemies will spawn. My only major gripe is that it's really easy to click out of the screen, especially since the page color is the same (or really close) to the background color of the game.
Aug 13 23:56:26 16m 44s Zero G Hero ♥ 4 Great art and animation and interesting concept, though I think you may be stretching the theme a bit here :-P I think the gamepad controls are broken, I couldn't attack, slide or crouch. It took me a while to get a hang of the keyboard layout, but it worked pretty well once I did. I had a hard time getting enough distance to land my projectile attacks, and got stuck on corners occasionally. I'm impressed with the number of mechanics you got working (wall grab, slide, crawl, charge shot, etc.).
Aug 14 00:01:26 5m 00s Void Eater ♥ 1 Amazing artwork and animation. Seriously impressive. I could not figure out how to damage the main enemy at all, though. This has a ton of potential.
Aug 14 00:11:03 9m 37s The City Of Forgotten Toys ♥ 1 Lol, the music is amusing if a bit grating. Because the toys spawn randomly, it didn't seem like there was any need for me to go to the platforms at all, making it super easy to get a bunch of toys. I happened to see your game on stream so I knew to jump on the mayor's head, but otherwise that's not very clear. I'm not sure what it has to do with running out of space?
Aug 14 00:16:48 5m 45s proxibomb ♥ 0 I really like the graphics and the proximity mechanics, it's very intuitive and fun to play. Is there a lose condition, or do I just keep going until I am satisfied with my score?
Aug 14 00:20:29 3m 41s Bunny Bazooka ♥ 1 Interesting aesthetics and functional gameplay, though I had a hard time determining which direction I would go in when I pushed up or down. I think the little mini-tutorial at the beginning was really clever!
Aug 14 00:27:00 6m 31s The Best Internet Experience ♥ 3 Great nostalgic graphics. Love the ads you came up with. I'd love to have some sort of score, though it would be more a test of endurance than anything else lol.
Aug 14 00:33:28 6m 28s OUT ♥ 1 I really like the art for the title page and main character. I wish the camera were a little closer so I could see it better. I also wish it would restart me from the level I just failed on instead of the first level. The dash could use a transition animation, but I understand jam constraints. Great job finishing and submitting!
Aug 14 00:47:19 13m 51s Space Invasion ♥ 1 This is really, really well done. There are some bugs (I got stuck on the boss level) but the writing, camera work, delivery, and progression of skills is amazing. Seriously, with some polish this could be great.
Aug 14 01:26:47 39m 28s Misadventures of Crowley Flatcheeks ♥ 2 This was great! I really liked the characters, and it gave me some SCUMM vibes for sure. I do wish I could move a bit faster, but otherwise I don't have many gripes! I am the Space Duke! Well done.
Aug 14 02:27:23 1h 00m Dessert War ♥ 1 I love the art! And (once I figured out the rules) I had a great time dominating the field of desserts.
Aug 14 03:54:34 1h 27m Blueberry Adventure ♥ 1 Nice looking game with intuitive controls. I found the camera controls a bit frustrating, but I enjoyed playing!
Aug 14 04:13:03 18m 29s Construction Pit ♥ 1 Great setup, graphics, and concept! I gave up after I got stuck on a box, but I'll come back tomorrow and get that bastard.
Aug 14 04:26:05 13m 02s Survirus ♥ 1 Very clever game! The graphics are fantastic and the gameplay is great after I figured it out. I did seem to get stuck on some squares when moving quickly and was unable to move for a bit. I'm not sure if that's an intended mechanic, but if so I didn't understand how I triggered it. The UI and menu design are super clean and satisfying.
Aug 14 04:37:39 11m 34s OverEncumbered ♥ 0 This was a really well thought out combination of mechanics! Pick things up to fill you inventory, but they slow you down and have various values. In combination with the encroaching saw, you implemented the theme in a couple ways. Nice! The graphics are really well done too, and I'm especially fond of the blood splatter (though it does cause some frame hiccups for me).
Aug 21 02:19:13 165h 41m WASH UR BALLZ ♥ 0 I think there is a core of a good game here, but I have a bit of constructive criticism: -It was very difficult to determine where I would land. I think this is a bit of a camera problem; perhaps you could tilt it down slightly in proportion to my current jump height. -Speaking of jumping, I felt like I had very little control over it in general. I would love to be able to stop ascending by releasing jump. -I wasn't sure what the goal was. I could infer that I needed to prevent the stadium from being painted red, but am I supposed to jump on the balls as well? It leaves a little marker of some sort when I do, so it felt like something I should be doing. Because I didn't bounce on them, however, I was penalized for trying. -Encountering the edge of the map sends me catapulting back toward the center, regardless of my speed upon hitting it. Then I would inevitably hit a ball, which was frustrating. I think it would work better to have the wall recoil be proportional to your current speed, and perhaps reflect your angle of motion as well.
