Making space navigation 2D was a great call since 3rd dimension does not actually add much to the exploration aspect of the game and it may make space controls overly complicated. I had a look at it alone for now and loved the graphics and how you generated the planet (I will make sure to look at your code too!). I never got to fishing or digging, only tool I needed was my axe. I liked the game and what you tried to with it but you should be careful about such obvious dominant strategies or the players will miss the depth of your game. Yes there were some small innovations like next level falling down and killing you but it still felt like another top-down shooter.
