Apr 19 05:30:00 Arduino Cat Nice and clever idea, the controls are easy and besided an old DOS games as fixedgerald said, reminded me a tiny bit of the logo progamming language.
Apr 21 01:06:00 43h 36m S-COM: Aftermath The way the game is presented sets up a really nice mood to play. Graphics are simple, sure, but are perfect for this.

I kind of love games with this kind of setup and mood, even though I'm usually bad with strategy games.

Missing a little bit of audio, but it isn't te essential here. The overall gameplay is well thought and enough to keep this usually casual gamer have fun thinking a little bit and getting frustrated of not being able to prevent chaos.

Nice entry. :)
Apr 21 01:26:00 20m 00s The Day of BEEkoning Concept and overall gameplay are nice but, the how to play screen feels a little bit cluttered and I got a little bit lost in information there. Whenever I see something with a little bit too much info, I tend to skip, even if crucial information about gameplay is present.

I liked the soundtrack, it remembered me of some games I used to play on the SNES and GB and it sets up a nice mood during gameplay.

The art is simple but well made and thought, the bees are cute and I like the Queen Bee's expression when commanding the soldier bees.
Apr 21 02:14:00 48m 00s ICE CREAM This game is just adorable! All smiles while playing! I want that ice cream truck! I want to ride my bike in this road! :)

The game feels a little bit repetitive after some time, and starts to feel like a screen saver a tiny bit, though.

But it doesn't take the fun and smiles for playing this game. It feels like an infinite fun run on Green Hill Zone, by truck, while waiving hello to the Happy Tree Friends. :P
Apr 21 02:21:00 7m 00s Flail Rider I'm pretty fond of top-down/isometric racers so this one hit the spot! The controls are really nice and easy to get accostumed to.
The graphics, in my opinion, really go well with this style of game and the soundtrack completes the pack in a really nice and satisfying way.
Really want to see this one turned into a "full" game. :P
Apr 21 13:59:00 11h 38m Spring Cleaning When I saw the thumbnail I totally thought it was a flash game, seriously. :P

The concept is really nice and fits well into the category. Also, I can see a potential in diving deeper into this game. Even though the concept is quite simple, it can be improved upon (like moving the lens to maintain focus, buy better lenses, lens scratching, dust falling on top of the lens and working on what you can burn).
Apr 21 14:07:00 8m 00s Sticks and Stones Liked the idea of using words/letters as weapons and can totally see a potential of improving upon this idea into a lot of things. :)
Apr 21 14:20:00 13m 00s Peace Machine Gun Liked this idea of reverse shooting. The soundtrack is really nice. It's simple, but sets a nice mood for the game, specially on stage 2.

BTW, the game runs nicely and stuff...but it crashes most of the time when going to stage 3.
Apr 21 14:37:00 17m 00s The Trials Of Chronos Really liked the overall mood of the game, though I find it a little bit difficult to control.

Right in the first level I had some problems falling down the platform (windows version) or flying way above it (webgl/windows).

Nice entry. :)
Apr 21 18:41:00 4h 04m An unconventional encounter The soundtrack remembers me of two things: MIDI, by the way it sounds (not bad, though), and some japanese indie games.

Overall, I can totally see this as something like an "in media res" part of a bigger game or, like someone said, a minigame to a visual novel or something. :)

Dying and restarting makes the soundtrack start over the previous one still playin. :P
Apr 21 18:47:00 6m 00s Extreme Flashing Fighter I've seen this one when you mentioned it in the OpenFl forums! Amazing take on the beat'em up genre, amazing work with the sprite assets for the main character, amazing work done with Haxe/OpenFl! :3

Want to see a full version of this in the near future. :P
Apr 21 19:31:00 44m 00s Angling Bots I like the concept of using the fishing rod as a weapon, but I think something more than using it to push-pull things or as a grappling hook.

The graphics are really nicely drawn. Missing some audio (music + fx), as it could set up some nice mood, though.

I spent some time trying to get past the second room (the one with the big gap), not that it's THAT hard, but the character slips a litte bit so sometimes I fall off the platforms. :P The spiked-floor room is HARD, but that's GOOD!

Overall, it's a nice entry for the compo, but if it was made for the jam it could benefit a lot more.

I'd like to see a full game thought upon improving this idea, so keep it up! :D
Apr 21 19:45:00 14m 00s Udom Nebdon You totally got that AITD feeling. Nice FX on the graphics, too! Together with the audio it sets up a REALLY NICE mood, spooky! I specially love those big halls with a far distance camera.

I'd say "I miss a run button", but the absence of it also helps set up the mood, like "I want to run, but I can't for some reason".

This must be made into a full game. :3
Apr 21 19:57:00 12m 00s CurseMan People say "words hurt more than actions" don't they? :P I like this idea of "levelling up" your curse skills.

Nice job with the game and nice work using Haxe/Nme! :D
Apr 21 20:04:00 7m 00s Sticks and Stones You nailed that feeling of people using words as weapons to hurt people! It feels like someone reading a diary of somebody whom I had a nice friendship then it fell apart over time (or maybe I'm thinking too much).

I'd like to see a full version and improvements upon this concept! :3
Apr 21 20:13:00 9m 00s Paper Cut I like the work done with the graphics, the stationary-related style of the game and kitten ammo. :P
Apr 21 20:24:00 11m 00s News Flash Loved the overall mood of the game and the "weapon" you used. :) That hot dog man...hahahaha!

Graphics and music really fit well together with the theme and style in the game.

Could be well expanded upon the photo journalism theme, twisting news, tabloids and stuff. :3

Nice nice!
Apr 21 20:41:00 17m 00s Avoid The Poop The energy/time/score counterd didn't appear to load here and, after I die, I'm missing some kind of a game over-like screen to replay the game. The screen just goes black and I had to close/re-open to play it again.

I like the idea of "you have no weapon, but the enemy has the unconventional one instead". I'd also like to see a "you are the bird" take on this or even, since you can fly, some kind of "you poop'd on me, now take my revenge" twist. :P
Apr 21 21:47:00 1h 06m Follow The Light I liked the idea of "herding" people to follow you and use'em as weapons, I also liked you joking about not having time inside your game :).

About the graphics, I like this contrast about hi/low-poly, textured/not-textured. I don't know if it was intentional, but kind of liked it. :3

It's a shame you couldn't finish the way you wanted to, but it is a good thing you made something and released! :D
Apr 21 22:29:00 42m 00s Blanket Girl Been wanting to play this one since I've seen the sketches. :)

Nice work on the characters, concept and level design. If you don't mind, I did take a shortcut to the last level at first unintentionally, by falling and gliding. :P

The soundtrack is really nice and completes the whole package in a nice and adorable way. :P

Totally want to see a full version of this. :P

P.s.: in the WebGL version, the door that opens with the first switch doesn't render here, it looks invisible.
Apr 21 23:48:00 1h 19m Lasers have recoil, right? It's fun and really nice, albeit short. Really nice to play, controls are simple and make the game nice to play, the graphics fit the style of the game and the sound work is also good. :)

Needs more levels! /o/
Apr 22 00:21:00 33m 00s The Heist AI may be simple, but works nicely for the map design. Still didn't get to the end because I didn't manage the hacks nicely. It's a nice challenge, and everything fits together in a nice way. :)

It would be a nice thing to see this expanded upon. It took me a little bit to get the aiming/shooting, but that's just me playing first and reading later. :P
Apr 22 00:28:00 7m 00s Planet Crush Simple gameplay but nice to play. Needs some particles and explosions to make it fancier, like some said, but well made! :D

It would be nice to see a "whip" or something like the proton pack from Ghostbusters for the tractor beam. :3
Apr 22 06:14:00 5h 46m Elem3nts Gameplay feels pretty nice and simple, the graphics are adorable, and it's a nice take on tower defense. Audio would be a really nice addition to it and would turn it into an even greater experience.

Don't know if it's just me, but using the wind tower feels a little bit OP for the first 4 types of waves. :3 I place a lot of wind towers in the end of the map and before the places where the bunnies spawn and the waves end quickly. Limiting the tower placement area would be a nice addition to a post-jam version.

The game, overall, is really awesome. :)
Apr 22 06:50:00 36m 00s Grief Yes, it feels like SMB, but that's not bad. It's actually nice to see you made the mechanics and nailed it with some nice level designs in three days.

The graphics are simple, but hold its charm, and it's always nice to see a story being told without dialogue, it makes the game universal, no need for translating for people to embrace it.

More than a soundtrack, I'd like to see some ambient sounds in this game, it'd be a nice addition.

Stage 7 is HARD, BTW.
Apr 22 06:58:00 8m 00s The Magical Hat of Usefulness I open up the game, click "Play!" and I just see "You Got the Game Source Code!", awesome! :)

It's humorous, fun and well thought! Also, the graphics fit the style of the game well. :D

A little bit too hard for some weapons (didn't see that Tomato has an item limit). "Game Source Code", though, it's on my favorite weapon list!
Apr 23 04:25:00 21h 27m Magnetic Pirate The game may be unfinished as you said, but I liked the idea of using magnets + money as weapon. It made it feel like a reverse-shooting arena shooter. :)

I'd love to what you had in mind for this!

Also, the code you wrote was beautifully organized, pretty neat. :P
Apr 23 10:14:00 5h 49m ChromaGun Nice approach on an FPS-like genre, making a puzzle! :) And, the fact that you could even build a level editor for the game is REALLY a plus.

The graphics (enemies, models, level texturing) and sound fit well together with the concept of the game, which I think goes really more into the abstract-side of games.

More styles for the stages and a little bit of a change on the "colour is mightier than the sword" thing would make it even nicer, though, but the overall experience on the concept you've build is awesome already. :D
Apr 23 10:36:00 22m 00s FrackBot Fracking to create earthquakes and fight insects and other things? That's refreshing! :P

Nice work on the graphics and setting up the overall mood of the game with a nice intro. The sound work was also nicely done. :)

The earthquake effects and this making the enemies bounce makes the game fun and challenging, for the fact that you must have a nice timing to make'em bounce higher and do more damage. :)

And you implemented basically a web/desktop/mobile version into the same build, a very big plus here! :D
Apr 23 10:56:00 20m 00s Randomsmith This gane's so fun, it's harmful! My cheeks hurt from laughing hahaha! "Catasebencil"? Hahahaha

The graphics style, audio and the concept, they fit too well and the way the game mixes the names of the objects was really well done! :D Loved it! :)
Apr 23 11:16:00 20m 00s Avian Days Nice work using a monochromatic palette, nice work with HaxeFlixel also! :3

You said you never made a metroidvania? You nailed it in a pretty neat way! The level design is really nice and using bread + birds as a weapon and other things is a good concept, really good! :P

And, last, it's hard, but it's GOOD! :3 I couldn't finish because I became frustrated with the zig-zag of cannons, but I'm sure gonna play it again until I get past this area! :P
Apr 23 11:24:00 8m 00s Pixel People Loved the voxelized graphics and the way you introduced the game and levels as a 2d plane. :)

Work done on level design and audio are really nice also.

The game does feel a little slow and sometimes I think "a speed up buttoon would be a nice addition...", but the overall experience is really pleasant! :)
Apr 23 11:30:00 6m 00s Doctor Dropper I laughed so hard playing this...this is fun! :D

The voxel graphics, the pianos breaking, the sounds, that game over screen...they fit too well, it's so good and adorable! :)
Apr 23 11:37:00 7m 00s Evil Cupido: Haters gonna hate Loved the art style. Reminded me of old point-and-click games! :) Also really liked how you implemented this "hide and shoot" stuff.

Pretty clever level design and game mechanics. Everything fits so well it's really good! :P I want a full version of this! XD
Apr 23 11:44:00 7m 00s Shield Maiden Nice platformer! You totally nailed the "megaman-like" style of the game in everything: art, sound and gameplay.

I think this would've also been a nice entry on that "you only get one" themed LD that happened! I like the art and animations, but the sound...oh boy...it's so good! :D

Wished there was a lifebar or something like Sonic's rings, though. :P
Apr 23 11:51:00 7m 00s salt The idea is pretty nice, but it's a little bit difficult! >_<

Still couldn't grow a plant, but will keep playing 'til I get to. This whole "change your tool, then use" makes it a little bit hard to salt the snails, because they're too...erm..."fast"? :P

But I liked the concept of the game overall, building upon a strategy/tower defense style in a different way.
Apr 23 13:43:00 1h 52m Do as I say Nice work on this puzzle! I was curious when I saw the blog update and it turned out pretty nice and fun! :3 Would love to see a full version, with more levels and orders, come to life.

Presentation, graphics, controls and audio really go well together in this game, and level design is really clever! :)
Apr 23 13:59:00 16m 00s Tourette It's a bit weird, but the concept of this "ego beat'em up" is nice, but there are some strange points. :P

Graphics and audio are nice and fit the style, but the player character has only left and right, while all enemies have full 360º movements?

Controls are nice, but the swearing, sometimes, feel a bit slow. I didn't get how to assign the words to buttons the first time I played, just after accidentally pressing buttons at the screen the second time. :P

It's already a nice game, but if you can improve and expand on this idea, this has potential of becoming a really different and even more nice game.
Apr 24 16:21:00 26h 22m Me+Ewe Nice work with this Visual Novel + RPG mashup! A little bit too short, but it's fun to play, fun to watch and the "weapon" is...well...really unconventional! Would be nice to have some different attacks, though :P

The artwork is just adorable, shame it's not on the ratings, and it works really well with the dialogues and setting you've written.

The soundtrack you've chosen really fits the game also on all scenes, specially in battle. :)

An expanded edition of this would be nice! 'Cause now I'm REALLY curious about how this will turn out. :P
Apr 24 16:30:00 9m 00s Trap For Ants Whoa, this is fun! You made it simple, but in the best possible way! :)

The whole package (graphics + audio + concept + gameplay) works really well together and the game is well balanced on difficulty.
Apr 24 16:46:00 16m 00s Mable: The Journey Nice work with the pixel art and all the parallaxing! And the idea is pretty solid for a compo entry. Soundtrack's really good too!

The controls are simple but, together with the difficulty level, makes it not that simple to play. Having some problems with flying and jumping enemies. :P

Nice work on this! :)
Apr 24 16:52:00 6m 00s Mass-X Nice work on graphics, the screen effects and audio! They create a really nice mood for the setting of the game! :)

Playing it is also really fun! Kept me thinking about lots things you could do with this teleport/swapping gun.
Apr 24 20:10:00 3h 18m Copycat It took just a bit to get the hangs on gameplay, but it's really nice to play!

Even though it's just text mode characters, the graphics have its charm and, together with the audio, complete that old school feel of the game nicely. :)
Apr 25 00:29:00 4h 19m OI Liked this approach on unconventional weapon, reminded me just a little bit of Every Extend/Every Extend Extra, in a certain way. :)

The gameplay is simple, but playing and making high scores isn't that simple. Quite addictive :P
Apr 25 00:36:00 7m 00s PHARBA This is just great! :D

Creative, fun and simple to play, loved the use of splatting colors as weapon, the graphic style and soundtrack! :3

Had to do some lonely play here because don't have anyone to play with right now, but loved the idea! :)
Apr 25 00:58:00 22m 00s The unconventional weapon trader "The legendary italian switchblade-cupcake"? "A black market automatic scanner-banana"!? Hahaha...this is so much fun...XD...generating weapons is quite addictive...and this is bad, because I still have work to do! :P
Apr 25 01:05:00 7m 00s Ay Pinatas! Loved the artwork, the animations and the explosions! :3 Dunno if it's just me, but even though the game has no sound, I can picture what sound each movement, mob, action and explosion would have, and I imagine it to be a very "colorful" sound. And this makes it a REALLY nice game to play! :)
Apr 25 01:54:00 49m 00s PREDICTABLE??? I'm a beginner in every possible way, but I can at least provide some analysis about your game and the way you did things.

I've opened up the file and found lots of "hidden" files, with only a win executable for the game as the visible one. This can make things quite confusing for people so, while distributing your game, try to separate source code and executable, as it makes it easier for the general player to download and play it.

Tthe idea is quite a crazy one and the weapons are really unconventional, and that's good, but needs refinement. Also, looks like you mixed some graphics/audio assets from other people/sources in the game. When you do it, Ludum Dare says you should opt-out from these categories to avoid problems.

Also, the game needs a description. How to play it, how to use the weapons, what are the weapons? People from other countries might not know what a TCC is (in Brazil, the "TCC" is the equivalent of "Course Completion Assignment" in college) so try to find an equivalent description to help people understand the game and what you mean with the game.

And, one last note: check "Content Rating". Some people might find some of the weapond quite offensive, so you should warn everyone who plays your game, ok?

It's an unusual idea, but you should look at some details before publishing the game, or these details might hold you from being able to publish it. Ok? Anyway, congrats on finishing and publishing! ;)
Apr 25 02:00:00 6m 00s The morning type Missing audio, but the idea is a nice one! :D Good to see an educational game made for this jam!

For the genre, the graphics are quite nice and fit really well, and I like that all the commands in the game must/can be typed, like "start game". Some parts, though, I found to be a little bit fast for the casual player, so slowing things a little bit or changing the word size/complexity depending on the difficulty level could be a nice addition. :P

But You did quite a nice job here, sir! I can picture a full game besides the room scene. :P
Apr 25 02:05:00 5m 00s Wordskill The mechanics are quite interesting! The sentence builder, scoring (sarcasm! /o/) and the sentences itself are really fun!

If this game had audio, I'd be rolling even more on the ground! XD Great idea!
Apr 25 11:17:00 9h 12m Zombinball Loved the idea! The graphics style remembered me, a little bit, of the ProPinball series, which I loved to play (still love).

The ball feels a little bit heavy though. Or maybe it's just me. :P
Apr 25 20:52:00 9h 35m Crayon Poke Great work with art, animations, audio and gameplay! The level design is also balanced enough to provide a challenge while still being a pleasant experience.

The soundtrack is really a nice one and the sound fx blend so well into it that its great for the ears.

Great teamwork here, really! :) Plan on turning this one into a full game? If so, that would be awesome! :D
Apr 27 07:15:00 34h 23m Slam Jam Bakery This game brought some lovely memories of playing games on the SNES, 20 years ago. :3

It's amazing and pretty much solid! Hard to imagine something so good done in 48hrs, did you get any sleep? :P

Work done with graphics is great, visual effects and level design are also really well done. :)

Soundtrack is also brilliant! Nice use of FL Studio, always good things done in it. :D

Nice work, really! /o/
Apr 27 07:25:00 10m 00s Pizza Predator Interesting concept for a game, and even with zqsd it wasn't that hard and impossible to play, though after changing to wasd it was better.

I liked how you used text to generate maps. While playing I just set my eyes on the "S" in MIMUS and thought: "there must be something written here". Remembered me a lot of hidden secrets, easter eggs and some things people did in old FPS.

Nice work, really. :)
Apr 27 07:43:00 18m 00s Space Boy The game's really fun and it really has that "Super Stardust" formula in it, though I didn't quite get the use of theme, unless the fact that "dashing" makes the ship the unconventional weapon. :P

Nice work with the stylized graphics and gameplay in general, feels pretty good to play the game! But, as everyone says, I'm missing some scoring here. :P

And, to finish: Bom trabalho! O jogo, em geral, ficou bem bacana! :)
Apr 29 18:47:00 59h 04m Battle of Tolzford Short, simple and full of style! :) The overworld part would totally fit a gameboy game (nice work with the tiles) and the use of contrast when in battle is really interesting and well done.

"Best synchronized swimming duet of all time"? I laughed hard when I reach that part. After that build up I didn't expect that. :P

Nice use of sound fx, btw. :P
May 1 18:42:00 47h 55m Banana Nana You nailed in NES/GBC style! :O

Nice job with graphics and overall design of the game! :) Missed some sounds and music, but not a big problem here. ;P

I can't imagine myself writing code like this, amazing work! :3
May 1 19:13:00 31m 00s What Do They Want? Whoa! Took me a little bit of time to play it but finally did it! I loved the game! This concept about launching probes to listen the ships without hitting'em is awesome!

Without text hinting in the interface, I felt a bit lot, but that's also the charm in this game. To me, it felt like being a little kid in front of a panel full of buttons, hitting everything that can be pressed to see what happens. And that sensation is really, really FUN! (I did this a lot in my father's work when I was a kid).

When I finally got the hangs of playing and understood how everything worked (angles, speed, sounds), I enjoyed it a LOT! And it gave me that feeling that this could be expanded into a really nice game. :)

Really nice work with GM:S! Cheers!
May 1 19:30:00 17m 00s Lollihop Nice work with the art and soundtrack! Environment, characters and the cel-shaded graphics look beautiful! Controls work pretty nicely and playing the game feels pretty nice too!

But the camera angle, sometimes, is a little bit of a let down, even with controls. It's easy to jump in the wrong direction or miss the platforms.

Also, those first two rotating platforms, it took me a while to get how to jump on'em. :P

But a lovely entry, for sure! :3
May 1 19:39:00 9m 00s GAMUBòRU GUMBALL!! Loved the concept, the style and the physics! More like a toy-game, but a nice toy to play! :)

The little ball things are adorable (to look, to shoot and to drive over :P) and the soundtrack fits very well with everything here!
May 2 22:50:00 27h 11m Teed Off When I saw the screenshots I didn't think it would be this fun, but this game is GOOD! I enjoyed playing it a LOT! :D

Graphics have that nice NES style, sound effects and music are really nice, but the gameplay is really good!

It falls perfectly in Bushnell's Law of being "simple to play, but hard to master" as the controls and concept are quite simple, but levels become challenging enough to require lots of gameplays.
May 2 23:22:00 32m 00s Evil Cube: The Game It's a shame you couldn't finish, but you tried and made something, even if it's just two levels. :)

The graphics are nice and cute and I'd like to see more sheep shooting. :) White cube's controls would work better without this point'n click style, though (even more with the second camera angle). :P
May 2 23:32:00 10m 00s Soccer Cows Nice nice, and FUN! But it's a little bit hard and challenging, Cows always win here! T_T

The choice for graphics and audio, even if it were asset store items, was really nice, and you set up a nice mood for the game. :)
May 2 23:43:00 11m 00s Lethal Throw I'm always fond of any type of grid, but a neon one's always the best! :P

That's quite a nice concept for the game, it's simple but becomes challenging over time. Graphics are simple, but give the game a nice 8-bit-style.

The spiders sound a little bit annoying after some time though (or maybe it's just my headphones).
May 3 17:21:00 17h 38m Yoyokidz Adorable game! Graphics are cute and animations are really well done. :) Nice work with audio too, soundtrack is really lovely and fits the game perfectly.

Gameplay in general is really nice and the game feels pretty polished enough. Want to see a full version of this! :D

Multiplayer would also be really something if this project gets expanded! :P
May 5 15:18:00 45h 57m Le Roman de Goupil Storytelling games are quite ambitious for a game jam, but that's a nice try. It's not finished, but you laid out a nice beginning for the game. Graphics are nice and it feels like an old adventure game mixed with a children's storybook (which is really nice).

I set the volume a little bit high while playing so I really ended up jumping from my chair when I heard the shot. :P

P.s.: played the web version and the development console popped up in front of the game. :/
May 5 15:31:00 13m 00s Color Blind Great game! Soundtrack is relaxing and the concept is really good too! Would become a nice twin-stick shooter if expanded upon. :)

Loved how you handled the trail on both player and enemies. But would be nice if different colors/sizes had different behaviors and speeds. ;)

The only hard part for me is matching colors, but I really have a small problem with this in the real world so that's fine (I guess?).
May 5 15:41:00 10m 00s Phantom Run The concept of hacking enemies + teleporting is really nice, but I think you need to put some limitations on hacking and teleporting. Or else finishing the game only by teleporting is totally possible.

BTW, nice work using Godot! It was one of the engines I wanted to try using, but didn't :P
May 5 15:50:00 9m 00s HotMop Nice idea! Graphics and sound fit in a really nice way. :) Controls feel a little bit too much slippery, though.

Sometimes I get stuck/can't pass through some parts of the map (like the staff room's doors or the "wet floor" signs).
May 5 16:04:00 14m 00s Viral Mutation Manipulation Simulation Nice graphics, nice presentation! Got lost for some time because it's a little bit complex but that's fine. :)

The interface in the web version gets cut, depending on the screen/browser width of the user. So I got even more lost when I played the web version. ;P
May 5 16:07:00 3m 00s SumoSmack So...how can I play the game? :P Can't host or join because of looping and no servers. The screenshots look nice, though.
May 7 05:18:00 37h 11m NEG [controller req] This simple, but is fun! :) Controls work like a charm and I liked this "grapple/ball" mechanic! :D

About not accepting keyboard input I can understand. After playing it with a controller, you realize it just wouldn't work with the mouse. And that's not a bad thing, it's like choosing the proper medium to send a message.

The game is quite refined and work on graphics are nicely done. There's also room for improvement, but the game, as is, is quite fun to play! :D
May 7 05:22:00 4m 00s Fish n' Ships As people said...it's a shame you didn't finish, but nice work on graphics and for showing us what you've done! :)

Can imagine a lot of things that you could've done for this game. :P Hope you keep working on this, there's room for a lot of things and you already gave it a really good kickstart! :D
May 7 05:29:00 7m 00s Space Worder Nice idea and nice work! "You should have finished it", as people said. :P

Hope you keep working and improving on this idea. :)
May 9 04:00:00 46h 31m EDDA This is pretty unconventional, but it's great!

Loved the mood, the graphics, the music, the crowd!

I'm no match for this! :P
May 9 04:20:00 20m 00s The others are my Strength Interesting concept about relying on people and having it as your strength. Quite the abrupt ending, though. :P

I kinda liked the soundtrack, it helped stabilish a nice mood for the game. :)
May 9 04:28:00 8m 00s Power of Djent Using riffs as a projectile? That's cool! :P Great sound and concept! :D

Controls feel a little bit slow to respond and the way enemies spawn is a bit annoying, though, as it makes it hard to progress through the game. :/

Anyway, nice idea! :)
May 9 04:33:00 5m 00s Dr. U and the bottomless PIT Hahahaha whoa! This is fun, loved the art! And the music it's perfect!

"Hello there" XD
May 10 08:33:00 28h 00m Butterfly Effect Oh boy! A Butt...erfly?! XD Short, funny and a little bit unexpected. :P
May 10 08:48:00 15m 00s All You Need Is Love Nice job with the game. Even though there's other entries about love-related stuff, your approach is a nice one. :)

The "problems" I have are related to movement (speed), collisions (hitbox) and shooting (on diagonal), but they didn't prevent me from having a nice time playing and enjoying your game. :)

There's a small problem with the hitbox for the player and the trees (in the web version at least), which makes you collide with the void. :P
May 10 08:55:00 7m 00s Cheese Ball Warfare Nice entry. :P

Original slingshot/ball mechanics feel a little bit restricted. There's that feeling that "oh, we could shoot this one a little bit more far/with a little bit more speed". But playing with "stale cheese mode" made it a better experience! :D

And, whoa, you made it for the compo! And that's something I couldn't do! Thumbs up for this! :D
May 10 09:06:00 11m 00s Noodle Kombat Not everyone have Xbox controllers, so keyboard controls would be very welcome. People might not like the need to switch browser to play the game.

I did make the Xbox controller work on the game and I find the concept interesting, Handdrawn graphics also are a plus, always. :)

But I kind of got lost while playing singleplayer, with all those meatballs flying. Also, killing the meatballman was a little bit easy!

Nice work going for the compo, though! That's always a +1, because I'm not able to do it! :D
May 10 09:13:00 7m 00s Pray to the Gods Nice idea and execution! :) The concept about having to pray for each god could be expanded upon with combinations too! Though, it would feel a little bit like "Magicka".

Nice level design and polishing to the game! :) Graphics and animations are nicely made and, even though you didn't make it, the soundtrack chosen fits nicely!
May 10 10:57:00 1h 44m Scream(But not too much) Whoa! This is really good! "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey"...*That was too much*...XD

Nice work with the pixelated graphics, audio and soundtrack! Controls also work like a charm! Game is also really humorous and fun! :)
May 10 14:33:00 3h 36m Quest for the Golden Spork A story-driven top-down combat game? That's nice! :) The idea of having a cart/item storage, instead of a magic satchel is a nice one.

Nice work on the art, but as some said: some feedback or attack animation/particles/indicator would be nice, the same could be said for sound fx.

Nice work on the soundtrack! :)
May 10 14:44:00 11m 00s RecordRunner As Null Dies said: Don't be hard on yourself. You made something, you started something, and that's a nice thing to begin.

Having said that, the concept is quite nice: some kind of hipster dude/audiophile battling uncompressed digital audio to reach his nirvana of analog goodness.

Work on graphics is simple, pixelated, but pass the message. Soundtrack is also really nice. :)

As an infinite runner/platformer, it is a bit unrefined, but that doesn't mean the game sucks or you should stop working on it. Try to work more on it, post it on forums, gather opinions, refine this idea. This will help you level up your skills and also the game.
May 10 14:50:00 6m 00s Ally VS Wild ! Work on graphics and audio was nicely done.

I couldn't really understand what to do or what was I doing in the game the first time I've played. Controls feel a little bit slow also.

Projectiles could help, as some said, and also some sound fx. :)
May 10 14:58:00 8m 00s Tinka The Turtle A kind of different approach on the unconventional weapon, as being "no-weapon". :P

Nice work on graphics! Animations are quite nice and I liked that detail of lighting on the turtle's shell when you turn. Sound fx are nice, but something more than "splash" and "bing" would be a nice ting. ;)

Having said that, it's quite a relaxing game. :3
May 10 15:01:00 3m 00s Bears in the Dark Nice entry and nice take on the theme! :)

This whole thing about managing lights and shooting is also a good thing! It's simple, but not easy, and the "fear" effect is also nice! :3
May 11 03:20:00 12h 19m FIREFLY GUN ! Nice work with this game! The work done with graphics (nice use of a, somehow, "limited" color palette) is awesome!

Also loved the ambiance, sound fx and everything you did with the in-game audio! That's lovely!

Nice take on the theme too! It totally remided me of some games I'd play on my GameBoy or my GameGear when I was a child! :3
May 11 03:33:00 13m 00s Super SALT Helmet Whoa! It's so good and solid, doesn't even feel like a jam game! So polished! :D

Graphics, audio and control-wise it's really well made and adorable, and the use of theme is superb!

I've played only on single player, but I feel that playing this on multiplater must be AWESOME! Nice Work! :3
May 11 03:42:00 9m 00s Anagram Attack Nice take on the theme and use of language! Besides being an unconventional weapon it's also educational! :D

Graphics might be simple and audio too, but they are good for this genre! Pretty solid and fun to play! :3
May 11 03:52:00 10m 00s Quiet Riot Nice entry! Adorable graphics and the tube tv effect! :) Nice work with sound and controls too!

The use of theme is pretty well done and the game is quite challenging, despite its simplicity! :3

Really Good! To understand and feel the game, you must play! No, you MUST play this game because it's GOOD! :D
May 11 03:56:00 4m 00s Buffer Overbash Pretty interesting and nice! Loved how every keystroke gets printed on screen behind the stage! :3

Gameplay feels pretty solid, the graphics are really nice and audio/ost is just lovely!

Nice entry!
May 11 04:03:00 7m 00s Snow Cones This is lovely! The art style is adorable and the soundtrack is beautiful! :3

Nice work with this entry, really! I really want to see what you're going to put in the post-compo version, or in a full version of this game!
May 11 04:11:00 8m 00s Bubble Becky Nice use of "gum" as a weapon! Pretty unusual and the sticky mechanics are so good! :3

Graphics and audio set up a nice mood in the game and, it totally feels like a 90's 16-bit platforming game! :D

Nice work!
May 11 15:05:00 10h 54m Static Charge 'Cleaner' 5000 You did a great job in 8 hours, sir! :3

Time was limited, and maybe some bugs remain (sometimes I get stuck when colliding with other robots), but that's a really nice idea!

Randomized levels are also very much welcome! ;)
May 11 15:13:00 8m 00s Ice Cream Fire Fighter Nice take on the theme! And yummy too! :3

I love matching games and tetris-like games, so this one was a blast for me! :D

The graphics are lovely and the sound fx reminded me a lot of old handheld console puzzle games!
May 11 15:21:00 8m 00s SHEEP MANIA Nice idea and execution! The graphics are simple, but they convey the message quite well, and are cute! The style reminded me of a show I used to watch when I was a child (don't remember the name) that had 3d animals rendered in a pretty simple way. :3

The audio is nice too, it's fine already as it is, but if you had more time I wanted to see what you could have done with music. ;)

The main character feels a little bit slow (or the wolves are too fast) so I think, maybe, putting the camera a bit more further away from the playfield (so we can see where the wolves come from) or progressively making'em faster (or, maybe, starting with wolf cubs, then bigger wolves?) could balance difficulty more, dunno.

We can think of lots of things to put in any game and it will never end! :P

But, nice work with the compo, really! Enjoyed your game pretty much! :3
May 11 15:31:00 10m 00s The Power of the Flower Nice entry! Graphics are nicely done and made me remember some old DOS games I played when I was younger. :P Also, nice work with sound, in both soundtrack and fx!

I think that, if you had more time, you could make this one an even greater entry! But this game is fun and nice to play as it is right now! :3

Great work! :D

Having said that, one more thing:
Vão na fé e continuem, muito bom ver jogo brazuca por aqui, muito bom ver ideias surgindo daqui! :)
May 11 16:42:00 1h 11m Zombies Took My Strawberry Nice and fun! Multiple endings rock! :D The theme use, graphics style and sound fx rock together in a pretty nice package!

I thought zombies were a bit difficult to kill in the beginning, but I got through the end(ings) nicely! :3

BTW, is the main theme song a remix of a tune from Top Gear/Top Racer? That's awesome! :P
May 11 16:54:00 12m 00s TETRATOR That's a lovely game, for sure! :D As a Tetris lover, this was quite a fun game!
Gotta love the graphics style! Reminded me a lot of the handheld versions of tetris, some minigames and other fun goods from my childhood. :P

Soundtrack is AWESOME, BTW! :D
May 11 17:02:00 8m 00s Possession The concept behind the game is quite nice, but some parts need improvement.

Graphic-wise, I don't think the game needs to have complex graphics and the style is nice as is. Some minor improvement would be welcome but, more importantly, you should pay attention to the rendering quality in the menus and title screen, as the quality of the image makes the embedded text a little bit hard to read.

Controls need a bit more refinement, because some times the click events don't get registered. Also, lots of times a development console popped up with some error. Even though you can close this console, it also annoys a bit.

Soundtrack is really nice, though! The main game theme is really nice and fun!
May 11 17:06:00 4m 00s Springtime Warfare WHOA! This is awesome! Love the work done on graphics (CUTE, really cute) and audio (gotta love these synthesized drums and horns), controls work like a charm too!

This reminded me a LOT of games from the 16-bit era, even more SNES games, which I loved! :3

Thanks for bringing back some nice memories of my childhood! :D
May 11 17:11:00 5m 00s Sticks N Stones Nice! Simple, but nice! Makes insulting people a funny activity (kids, refrain from doing this in the real world! :P).

Art style is really fitting for the style and genre of the game. I think it would be nice to see different expressions for people, depending on the answer you choose. :P

But, overall, pretty fun game!
May 11 17:21:00 10m 00s Bob's Got A Cold Oh, Bob! No! Don't! XD

Nice entry, nice use of theme! Could have some stickiness (but that would make it a bit gross :P).

Blocky graphics are simple, but they convey the message perfetly with the storytelling!
May 11 17:30:00 9m 00s Crystal Ball Chaos This is fun, really! Love the simplicity and the way you executed everything!

It does, indeed, take a little bit to get harder, but it's a really nice game to play (though I can't play much because I'm @ work right now :P).

Nice work! Cheers!
May 11 17:40:00 10m 00s A la lumière d'hiver I was scared something was going to jump over me anytime! Graphics style and sound fx worked like a charm to bring a, somehow, creepy atmosphere and mood!

I kept trying to look into the LCDs to see what kind of image were hidden behind those shaders and see if I could understand a bit about the whole game. Felt a little bit abstract to me, but still good! Really good!
May 11 17:44:00 4m 00s Cut! Nice work! Loved the cut and paste machanics, the graphics style and the way it plays. It runs smoothly and beautifully! :3

Missed some audio and had some problems after cutting pasting too much (got stuck for good! >_<). But lovely entry, really! Well done!
May 11 22:26:00 4h 42m Jelly Fighter Hahaha! Those expressions! :P Could only play against myself, had some bugs with the spoon, but nice entry! :3

Missing some sound fx, but nice concept!
May 11 23:10:00 44m 00s Giant Spiky Ball of Death Nice entry! It's fun and has got the right amount of challenge! Though I felt that the player moves a bit slowly! :P

Music is nice and fits perfectly, but it starts to get repetitive after a few minutes (my entry also feels that way :P).

It was my first LD too, so I felt the pressure (even though I went for the jam)! :)
May 12 00:44:00 1h 34m GLOV3.1 Nice! It's simple, but nice and well thought! :)

Just by playing the first levels I thought of lots of things for this game! :P

Be proud of it, really! It was also my first jam and I'm very proud! :3
May 12 00:48:00 4m 00s Sentient RPS Nice concept and execution! There are some problems with jump mechanics, switching attacks is a little bit tricky if you're going too fast, but overall it's really nice to play! :3

I saw someone saying it would be a nice thing to have some rhythm game elements in it. I also think that would be awesome! :3
May 12 00:54:00 6m 00s Pogo Dojo Nice and interesting concept! :3

Doing tricks, attacking and pogoing is a little bit tricky, but challenging! Gotta love this pogo-katana thing! :3

Graphic style is pretty nice and well done, the game felt like some kind of puppet theater.

The jump sound starts to hurt my ears after a while, though. :P But I think it's just the volume of my phones! :3

Nice Entry!
May 12 00:59:00 5m 00s Hugline Miami Pretty cool tribute to Hotline Miami, with a lot of love in it, for sure! :3 And, whoa, made in 48h!? That's an amazing work, sir! :D

Graphics style, soundtrack, controls. You just nailed everything and made a great game in a really limited time! :3

Nice work! Cheers!
May 12 21:02:00 20h 03m slappy the frog goes to town How come I didn't see this game while rating was on?! Nice entry, nice work with GM:S! :)
