Wish there were waves of coins/enemies, making some progression. Also, having some special items to give you a boost would also be welcome :).
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD32 → Magnetic Pirate

funny c:
haha, killing people with money? This is funny :)
Pretty cool concept. I realize you didn't have time to finish it, but I don't understand why the player character has to move so slowly :P.
Hope you decide to flesh it out further.
had fun collecting the coins. wish there was some way to kill the other characters or something to fight them with :D
really cool idea! Like mentioned before waves of enemies and coins would be great if you develop the game further.
Thanks for the feedback! Watch the source repo if you're interested in seeing more.
The game may be unfinished as you said, but I liked the idea of using magnets + money as weapon. It made it feel like a reverse-shooting arena shooter. :)
I'd love to what you had in mind for this!
Also, the code you wrote was beautifully organized, pretty neat. :P
I really like the gameplay. It has interesting dynamics and fun to play. I also like how the proportions of the area and game units are fitting to the intended gameplay. Well done!
I would like to see it completed! It would be fun to see how the victims get struck (or pierced?) by the coins. Eventually your magnetic power could rise to attract bigger stuff like cars, traffic signals... and wreak havoc!
The slowness of the character makes him hard to play.
Nice concept, fits the theme I think.
I liked how you have to manage your "budget": you need to keep enought coins to be able to kill enemies easily.
