| AWD Cake Factory | Ah! Awesome, super fun game. Nice tricks in the level design, I could see the invisible walls no problem and I really liked the talking evil wall. <br/> <br/>I got the cake, not sure if that means I won... Excellent job! | ||
| Jach’s Lava Flee | Unfortunately I get the same problem as Endurion, I'm pretty sure I have python/pygame installed correctly! Sounds cool though =) | ||
| Finalized the wall | Crashes, sadly. But it looks really awesome. | ||
| The Glacier of DOOM | Haha, awesome game. The storyline was great, I really liked the dialog and the ma-ma-ma talking sound effects. Funny! And I had fun playing the mini games. Ents + glaciers + al gore + farting == great game! | ||
| Too Heavy For Re-Entry | Hmn, not too sure what to say about this one. I think the main problem is difficulty understanding what's happening on screen, e.g., how far away are obstacles. Control seems a little awkward, too. What's good: <br/> <br/>- I like the super glowy graphics <br/>- Concept actually sort of was coming together for you, I could see what was dragging against the walls, etc.; I guess the main difficulty was getting a sense of "space" as you were falling/etc. | ||
| advancing wall of math | Haha, lazer kitteh! Fun game, I beat lazer kitteh in 3 tries. Satisfying, however it's a mix of math and typing not just math... Maybe the game would work better if you could more easily use the number pad, hmm... Like if you had the up/down controlled with keys on the LH of the keyboard. Nevermind, 'twas fun! | ||
| The Attack of the Evil Unicycles of Doom LD14 | Fun, fleshed out. I had fun figuring out the puzzles. Music was cool and somehow fit the idea of destroying unicycles. Great job, only complaint is the wall of doom theme is tacked-on. | ||
| Glacier | Good technical points. I think the goal is to build a land bridge using tetris blocks to let the sheep escape the glacier? Good theme-based idea, graphics look nice but I get really bad depth-buffer fighting. Cool concept, you probably just needed more time to make this a fun game. | ||
| Hill Climber: Extreme Edition | Alas, normally it's the Windows versions I can't play... Looks cool anyhow =) | ||
| WALLS OF DOOM! | Alas, hangs on the title screen for me (Vista, Python 2.6) | ||
| Mines of DOOM | Ah, clever and simple idea, nice execution! Good job, a real complete and fun little game. I did encounter a bug once where I had to backtrack and the lava wall did not kill me, but overall seems really solid. | ||
| Laser of Doom | I get an error: <br/> <br/>pyglet.gl.ContextException: Unable to share contexts. | ||
| Wall of Locust | Cool idea. I had a really hard time controlling it, I think that a more intuitive UI where you could maybe visually drag and drop the windmills would work better. It was hard to align where the cursor was with where the mouse was moving. I had a hard time getting the fire to do what I wanted although that was probably part of the challenge. <br/> <br/>Maybe the same concept but like, on a continuous field where you are sort of painting with wind to try and get the fire to gobble up the locusts? <br/> <br/>Good job anyhow, quite technically impressive! | ||
| Defend your castle | Pretty cool, I put too many walls which slowed things down however. Rainbulb ended up beating me, anyhow hehehe. Good job, fun little defend the fort game. Would have liked to see more sound effects, and maybe a larger playing field. Fun, nonetheless. | ||
| empire the wall | The idea is good, however I think the main problem has to do with getting the proper feedback for killing guys. What I could figure out is that you could go anywhere on blood, and had to kill guys to make more of your bloody wall of doom. Dark! The main trouble seems to be that when I kill a guy, he doesn't die right away so it's hard to tell what's going on. Maybe that's part of the idea!? 'Tchus! | ||
| Typo of Doom | Excellent job, a very nice little typing game. Great music, I'd love a Bwoop sound effect each time I get a word correct. Awesome that you have an online hall of fame, that's a great feature to manage to implement in 48H. | ||
| Robo-Jimmy and the Bouncy Adventure of Doom | Drat, all it needs is more levels! I think the game would be even more fun if the robot guy pogoed all the time, pogo bot or something. Great game, wish it had more levels. | ||
| The extravagantly excellent game about a ball shooting walls extreme hd turbo remix plus alpha EX 2000: the legacy: the movie: the game | Really liked this one in concept. A few suggestions: <br/> <br/>- Gravity works against the concept, because it makes it so that you can't really go through the side walls (it's much, much harder) <br/> <br/>- I think the frictionless momentum might be a bit punishing, too. If you added some friction it would be easier to control while still having some challenge. <br/> <br/>- Would be cool to see ramping difficulty, i.e., at first the walls come at you with just a few shootable blocks filled in, then more and more of them and finally steel ones, then more steel and faster and faster, etc. <br/> <br/>- Some other types of blocks you can shoot for powerups would be cool. <br/> <br/>I think this is a great, simple concept that has lots of potential for arcadey madness. | ||
| Speed Blazer | Hmn, plays smoothly and is nicely polished, but it somehow just doesn't draw me in, i guess the concept feels a bit generic. <br/> <br/>I liked: <br/>- How the car responds around other cars <br/>- The speed lines <br/>- Shadows under the card <br/>- Graphics in general <br/> <br/>Didn't like: <br/>- Repetition <br/>- Use of wall of doom was kind of uninteresting, the game wasn't based around the theme it just sort of incorporated it. | ||
| Spacewalls | Awesome. This is a great concept and execution. Simple little shooter and the spherical death-wall makes lots of sense. Excellent graphics and I really like the transitions from level to level. Slick little game! | ||
| Hungry Derivatives Advancing Collapse | The perspective made it kind of hard for me to understand what was going on, and jumping felt very floaty. However the game might be running more slowly than it should on this computer! <br/> <br/>I like the main character a lot, great teeth! | ||
| Soverign Wars | Whew! I beat the red guys, but it took a long time. Fun but lacks some polish. I'd like to be able to select guys en masse and the ability to destroy towers that I've built. <br/> <br/>But the core concept and execution were nice, I enjoyed this one! Brought me back to my starcraft days... (oh dear) Not sure that it's super on-theme, but that's ok... | ||
| Murus | Nicely done, great concept and use of the theme. I didn't like the movement mechanic, I think it made the game a bit awkward. Normal movement (friction) would have been better I think, and let me focus on solving the puzzle at hand. I think the graphics flashed a bit too much, tho I like flashy graphics. <br/> <br/>Great, great concept! I also liked the way the messages and so forth were integrated in to the game demoscroller. | ||
| PET THAT KITTEN! | Nicely done. I was pleasantly surprised by this cute little game, was able to get about 175 points and kill the wall twice. I like the kittens and the wrestling arms, and I think the art is actually really nice. | ||
| Haircutter | Nicely done, could use some animations on the main character to help the platforming feel. I like the basic idea though don't understand the "hair" idea (who does?) | ||
| Wall Wrecker | Nice title screen, good polish on the game itself. Somehow the arkanoid clone is as usual fun but uninspiring for a compo like this. But! It was really well done, I thought. Crits: <br/> <br/>- The smashing-block SFX seemed to lag. It could be sound driver issues or it could be too long of an attack on the sound effect. <br/> <br/>- Some animations for the block crumbling or growing would be nice. | ||
| Walla Zombies! | Cute! I like that he has two attacks, I overdid it with donuts at the start since I didn't understand they were limited. Main problem I think is it sort of drags on with the little guy running around the screen being chased by the flock of zombies. Soundtrack, intro are awesome! | ||
| Wall Of Corpses | Liked it! Seems hard to know whether a rock will hit, but a nicely polished game and I think good use of the theme. | ||
| Slugs v Salt | Hah, cute. I wish it had a one player mode, but I can only salute you for making it two players. Seems like a pretty fleshed out mechanic but it's just missing some balancing and gameplay tweaks. I'd *really* love humorous sound effects for this one. | ||
| Unnamed Entry | Hmn, this game needs instructions! It looks like it's headed somewhere interesting but I couldn't figure it out. It didn't crash or anything though, despite lots of clicking... | ||
| Save Those People! | Haha, not so bad. I like how the people are drawn. I played this in OO.org, it seemed to work. I have no idea if the game mechanic actually worked, but I was amused. I liked that you made the game in ppt, actually. | ||
| My game | Feels sort of basic. Not bad for a first attempt, keep at it! Good job learning flash in a day though, this isn't a bad sort of thing to create when you're learning a new programming language. | ||
| AWoRaFED rc1 | Getting there! I think even if you could make it to an exit to move to the next level the game would be much, much more enjoyable. I like roguelikes in general, though I think this one has pretty much nothing to do with the theme (that I could see anyhow) =) Core mechanics work, make sense. | ||
| abandon compo release | Meep! I got this error: <br/> <br/>Traceback (most recent call last): <br/> File "abandon.py", line 63, in <module> <br/> File "pygletwindowwin32__init__.pyc", line 423, in __init__ <br/> File "pygletwindow__init__.pyc", line 685, in __init__ <br/> File "pygletwindowwin32__init__.pyc", line 518, in _create <br/> File "pygletwindowwin32__init__.pyc", line 364, in _set_window <br/>pyglet.gl.ContextException: Unable to share contexts <br/> <br/>I'm running Vista, and I've got this same error from other games using pyglet. | ||
| Run Away Little Bouncies | Alas, I get: <br/> <br/>pyglet.gl.ContextException: Unable to share contexts. <br/> <br/>I'm using vista and have installed pymunk/etc. Alas me mateys! | ||
| “You First” | Meep! I need a windows port =( Wish I had my Linux0e box. |
