LD59 — Signal (11)

Raider of the Warehouse by Crystik 2026-05-03T08:30:06Z ♥ 1

Fun game. The alarm jumpscaed me a bit :D

After a while I barely looked at the Dowser and instead just opened all crates that I could find.

Signal Surfer by hulien22 2026-04-27T16:50:53Z ♥ 1

Awesome idea! I couldn't get too far since my high pitched voice started to scare the cats and with a more limited range the game got very difficult. It would have been nice if you could also speed up the recording as a sort of accessibility option. Multiple times my voice started to crack near the end of the recording and then the whole line got ruined. A mute button within the game would have been nice too since it liked to bounce all over the place when ending a line.

Switch Happens by Zettelkasten 2026-04-27T16:26:55Z ♥ 3

A fun but punishing game. Having an instant game over when a single train crashes is brutal, especially since it can easily happen during the tutorial (like the stop sign). A more granular fail system would have been nice (like too many delays or a currency that you gain/lose).

Inner Signal by Gastar 2026-04-27T16:09:24Z ♥ 2

Creative idea. There is an error after each level but reloading the website put me correctly to the next level.

I did the first 2 levels and it felt quite tedious having to chain the same nodes multiple times. A loop would have been helpful. Also I think the first level could have been much simpler requiring way fewer nodes. For example changing a "i hate you" to "hi".

Pulse Rescue by Soul Grinder 2026-04-27T15:47:02Z ♥ 0

Cute game. The signal concept is a bit simple but works. Got some minor suggestions for the controls: The rotation in the spacecraft with the mouse is a bit slow. Also Fly Up and Fly Down could have been on Space and Ctrl (in addition to R and F).

RedFlag:SOS by ReiMi 2026-04-22T18:23:28Z ♥ 2

Incredible art and sound! I somehow did everything correctly on my first try very quickly. I moved the fries, clicked on her in between (to make her happy?) and then rang the bell 5 times when the waiter came close. I think having some dialog with her could have helped immensely for the gameplay. Something like having to listen to her and quickly selecting the correct reply on what to say. Imagine if she started to confess her feelings for you and fiddling with your fries in that time would mean a near instant loss.

Signature Zero by red-horde-games 2026-04-22T17:42:49Z ♥ 0

Overall a fun game but there are too many enemy waves that take too much time in the beginning. For example when you get the flares and do everything correctly (so you don't need the flares) it's the exact same as the previous level which was already a bit slow/repetitive. I think 3 quick waves to explain a new mechanic would be enough.

Harmonic by Whiteowl4399 2026-04-22T17:23:25Z ♥ 2

Awesome game! Most card games are essentially math and this amplifies that concept, *literally*!

Glitched Signal by Jamope_ 2026-04-22T17:05:41Z ♥ 1

Cute and scary. Little Nightmares 4 with a radio? :D

Coo-Coo, Chef! by poboy 2026-04-22T16:48:01Z ♥ 3

Lovely theme and feeling. But the gameplay is extremely frustrating. The flag system is mostly bad keybindings that you initially don't know about and have to remember (or hold h all the time like a maniac :D). Then there is the randomness which is well... random. Having to tell them to "move" more than 10 times because they don't move to the right spot can be annoying.

Overall I think this could have been two seperate games. One giving commands with inputs where you don't know what they do (and flash that out further) and another one with better controls but where the NPCs have some randomness.

Connect by BruceZoom 2026-04-22T16:05:51Z ♥ 1

Very interesting game! Reminds me of Satisfactory but with data. I like that the music evolves as you unlock more areas.

The UX is a bit rough though. It says "[LMB] Connect" but if you click and immediately move your mouse it moves the object instead of drawing a connection. Also the output icons are very misleading. At the beginning I thought that the splitter would only split up to 3 because both the splitter itself and the output icons have 3 outputs displayed. Only at the end when I tried to optimize things I realized that you can have more. Made everything much more messy without me realizing it.

By the way I think there no reason not to chain all your repeaters right at your network source since there is no package size limit.
