This was surprisingly fun and hard! I like the simple but effective graphic style and the audio is very fitting. Good work.

Really beautiful graphics, great concept, and solid feel overall.
HTML5 worked well for me in Firefox. I enjoyed the game a lot, the graphics are wonderful and the gameplay was fun. I guess growing a baby dragon might not be the best idea after all, but it sure was cute!
I enjoyed playing this, and it's quite well made. For a weekend's work, it's impressive. The concept is clever. I like the split mechanic of having the digging section result in a trip to the inner dungeons. It's easy to imagine this being developed into a full game with more varied mechanics. The art style really works well, too. Great work!
I'm impressed with the amount of story you packed into a weekend's work. The music adds well to the atmosphere, too! I would have enjoyed more music as the story progressed.
I liked this game quite a bit. The concept is a nice interpretation of the theme, the gameplay is simple but fun, and the overall atmosphere is positive. The guitar track is fitting and enhances the experience. Well done!
Cool concept, the art is interesting. Gameplay was fun and uncomplicated... a little frustrating, but also kept me wanting to try for more. I like the mechanic of requiring the hammer pull, it adds just a bit more difficulty to the timing and pressure to act swiftly.
Good work! I enjoyed the art, concept, and story. It packs a lot of style and character into a short experience. I felt the number-repeat minigame was a bit too difficult, though I may just have a bad memory! If there had been time for a fuller version of the game, I'd have liked to know the characters better.
The game plays very smoothly, looks great and is a lot of fun. A full/expanded version would be awesome!
Fantastic art design and execution on this. The gameplay was a bit hard for my taste. The lack of range on the default gun felt punishing and the currency needed for upgrades was too sparse. Really impressive effort, though, on the graphics, concept, and overall polish!
@duke Thanks for vote 20, and also for the compliments and comments! I'll just point out that the fate of the cats you miss remains undisclosed! I will establish the canonical interpretation that they simply land on their feet and walk away off-screen, unimpressed by your efforts and unwilling to lend their support by laying around in the scenery. After all, you don't hear them crunch or splat on the ground...
@charles-fernandez your reaction is the perfect one to sum up the game! Thanks.
@thebreakfast I'm glad you liked the music, it was a lot of fun to compose while imagining the scenarios in the game. Your interpretation of the reasoning behind the game is an interesting take. I cannot dispute it!
@random-thoughts The multiple-health-loss from a rock bumping you over and over is a point we'd probably address in any further updates if we continue development. Thanks for the comment!
@dark-power the walrus IS awesome! Thanks!
@mowemax thanks! Eric did a great job with the physics of how dream-cats and dream-ham would bounce around. It definitely makes things more enjoyable.
@louiejams thank you for the comment! Adding different difficulty levels is something we discussed, and may implement sometime down the road.
The gameplay here was surprisingly challenging, and the core mechanic is a clever one! Nice work!
I like the concept and the art! The gameplay mechanic is simple, but it is very difficult. As others suggested, making it easier to begin with and gradually ramping up the danger level would add to the fun. Maybe also having the arrows shoot in patterns that can be recognized would help. A game like this would also give some opportunity to use positional audio cues to aid the player (hearing arrows fired from one side or the other in advance of their appearance).
