Not really liking the scanlines nor the fact that I have to "end task" in order to quit the game early. I do like the mechanic, though that's a lot of variables to play with. Good job overall.
Oh, I crashed with errors too by jumping to the south with full incline and a lot of power from the circle thingy to the south-west of where you start.
Despite getting to an island in the east and getting an "ending" (twice), I'm still not sure I actually "got" the game. Oh well. I had fun with it at least and I think it's a great entry!
The controls weren't bad in my opinion *except* that the pitch was inverted and that made it frustrating. I ferried until there were no more fares to ferry, but I still had several "pink" boxes in the corner. Dunno what that meant. I finally went and looked at the clouds (your trees show through) and the sun, then nosed down and went full throttle to see what was down. It's still heading down while I type. =p I liked it enough to play through despite not liking the inverted controls. Would like to try your next version.
I can't read french, so the story was completely lost on me. I also couldn't figure out what to do if you fall off the edge of an island except restart the game. I did play to the ending, so even though I had no clue what was going on I still wanted to see the end. =p
Interesting mechanic indeed! I thought the same thing about keyboards that philomory mentioned. I'd like to see more levels, since I still wasn't 100% sure what I was doing when I beat the last tutorial. =p
The island generation takes a little while. Which isn't bad in itself except there's no indication that that's what it's doing so I thought the game was just broken. Interesting concept, would love to see more gameplay with it.
Like the graphics. Like the theme. Wasn't crazy about needing to run with admin privileges. Work on adding some more gameplay, could be a fun game if it had some hazards.
I liked the idea and played to the end. For all the islands I could just "feel" when it was time to move, but the last one I resorted to tapping out a beat.
The Windows build is quite buggy. I was never able to take out more than a couple Pokes before crashing. I stayed in the shop too long at one point and the numbers disappeared. I left the shop and *crash*. Love the sound though.
I left "fun" n/a, because I'm not really the best to judge "fun" of an RTS (I don't like them). =p I like what you accomplished though. The graphics were ok, though it was tough to see what was going on in the battles. Multi-select would have been nice. Good job overall.
I thought the controls were ok, just not nearly sensitive enough. While trying to get the mouse to move faster I confused your mouse handling code a bit, as the mouse froze up. Not sure what I did to get it working again (either waiting or moving the mouse wildly back and forth). I also would've liked to be able to move the window. Oh, that sounds so negative. I actually liked the game overall, played to completion in a 455 fork clickfest!
The music blended into the mood so well I didn't realize it was there. =p I was starting to run out of banana power before I decided that exploring was probably not a good idea and I just ran from island to island to get the golden orbs.
I like this game! It's neat that you can go for distance, score, or time. I was going for distance and made 408 meters on the original version before quitting for the night. I'll most likely play again later and possibly try out the "double-jump" version. I agree that a high-score feature is badly needed. Post-it notes stuck to the monitor with my last best distance doesn't seem to mesh graphically. Oh well. =p
I liked it. The sound volumes could've been tweaked a bit - I turned up the volume for the "music" then blew my ears out with the rescue sound. I think you could have an addicting game if you add some clue where the drowning people were and used a shorter timer that refreshed as you rescued (to increase urgency).
Not sure what "mouse to look" was supposed to do, all I could get the mouse to do was swing my sword. Also, when mousing and keyboarding, it might be easier to use WASD (unless you mouse lefty), as it's awkward to use the arrow keys with the left hand.
Installed the redist. Looks neat. Hopefully we'll eventually get to see what kind of gameplay you had in mind for this, because there's some interesting potential here.
Nintendo Hard. It's brutal that the bike-bounce prevents you from jumping. You either jump immediately or wait for it to settle down. I made it to space with 121 deaths (might want to adjust the z-order on that end-game count there)
Oops. If you see Mr. Help running around, please put him out of his misery. Hopefully the server's not toast. Had a good time looking around even though my attacks did nothing. =p

Made it to wave 15. I found myself an island that had good visibility. I liked the game, it reminded me of a first person centipede. =p

Wow, an LD48 that makes my graphics card fan actually spin up. =p Camera controls, yada yada. Had fun with it though.
