Your collision box is way too big; the player keeps colliding with things that he really shouldn't, given the size of the sprite. In particular, horizontally, the collision box for a sprite in a platformer should always be significantly narrower than the graphics themselves.
I played as far as the second island, but given the boring and frustrating gameplay, I wasn't going to press on, since the story didn't seem particularly compelling.
Also, French isn't my first language, but even so I found a couple of spelling and grammar errors in the first cutscene: "bensoin" instead of "besoin" and "se venger" instead of "me venger."
Je ne parle pas anglais, haha.
This was a very weird game that I found myself liking more than I should have. Strange noises are panned hard left, repeating throughout the game. A story (in French) about Napoleon's deal with the devil (he trades for his hat). It's 100% jumping puzzles/performance, which get pretty tense when you get high up, because you really don't want to fall and have to do it again. Still, somehow I felt compelled to play through to the end, and I did really like the ending. The jumping is buggy (I think it's something like, for the first 1 second that the player is holding the jump button, decrease the y coordinate), and the collisions are buggy (platforms extend invisibly to the left), but some of the jumps in the game force you to understand and exploit both of the bugs. That's weird but kind of great, too.
Frustratingly hard, probably because of bad physics?
Otherwise I liked the athmosphere, with the looks and sounds.
The platform engine was rather counter-intuitive, and I agree with others that the bounding box was a bit fishy.
Once I got my head around the jumping behaviour it went quite smooth (besides the player being to wide). On the second island however the platforms stopped somewhere up half, but some platforms were on the left side. So I tried to jump out the right border (and hope to come in at the left). That's where I fell down but couldn't do anything anymore.
Weird atmosphere, quite fitting ;)
I keep getting stuck in platforms and can't jump. I was not able to complete the game because of this, unfortunately. This seems like it has some character to it, I'd like to finish it if you fix the collision.
Kind of boring, though also somewhat zen at times. I liked the leap of faith in level 2.
I can't read french, so the story was completely lost on me. I also couldn't figure out what to do if you fall off the edge of an island except restart the game. I did play to the ending, so even though I had no clue what was going on I still wanted to see the end. =p
This game just didn't grab my attention for some reason. Could not get through it.
The jumping controls aren't that great, to be honest. It's more frustrating than it is challenging. I dig the look and the story and the sounds, though.
The collision detection is horribly buggy, but the graphics, particularly at early on, are some of the most stylish ultra-low-res pixel art I've seen in a long time. Very nice looking, also amusing; probably would be better if I knew French, though.
