LD14 — Advancing Wall of Doom (21)

Unknown by Zak_Spark

Extinguishing all the lights was interesting, and the game has a great looking character and backgrounds. The music didn't feel that in tune thematically with the rest of the game, and the jumping felt too floaty, though. Also a bigger window/view would be great for this.

I thought this was really fun. Good twist on the theme and everything worked together in an odd yet entertaining way. I loved the polar bear face game over screen (I still haven't saved the seals unfortunately).

Ludum Dare #14 by telaviv

I liked the overall interface and the visuals, but I feel this needed more oomph -- either with sound (don't know if this has been added, I played the version in the first torrent) or maybe with a stepping scroll (like tetris) rather than a smooth scroll that would speed up.

The extravagantly excellent game about a ball shooting walls extreme hd turbo remix plus alpha EX 2000: the legacy: the movie: the game by Siiseli

I liked this, though I suck at playing it really. Cool concept. Some audio would have really added to this one, and I think there were too many particles emitted when you moved, but I think this is worth expanding on.

Cool presentation overall, nice work!

Deathbeam by noonat

GREAT visuals and fun gameplay. I would love a bigger/expanded version. Seriously, this is excellent, thank you.

Speed Blazer by kappa

Great visuals, however the left/right controls seemed much too unresponsive, it made the overall game pretty hard to play.

Non-Advancing Wall of Failure! by Frimkron

Would like to see a completed version of this, looks interesting.

Doom Runner by Endurion

Very cool! Great concept, visuals and implementation and fun to play. I would have liked more control with movement -- it seems like one arrow press moved the character a lot more than I thought it would.

Advance 2 – Aftermath by DrPetter

I can't say this was a fun game, but I loved it. Of course it looks great and the intro music is so catchy, but more to the point it just feels really fresh. Thanks!

The Attack of the Evil Unicycles of Doom LD14 by doohan

I had a fun time with this, great effort on audio and the gameplay. My only complaint is that the player controls are too floaty, they need to be crisper I think. With regard to some previous comments I like the idea of jumping and placing blocks, it makes things interesting. Great entry!

Put the Ball in the Basket by Doches

Extremely satisfying and fun. Very good all around, I would just ask for more difficult levels or difficulty ramping up more quickly based on how well you do on the previous levels.

Rock Bank; Rock your way through the working day! by Deepflame

This has great panache, but the gameplay was confusing for me -- I think it was just the controls, really, but it made it hard to get into.

The Haunting by Covenant

Really fun, with great graphics and audio, and of course great blood splats. A winner for me.

Uber Unmanned Wheelchair Deluxe by Cosine

I really liked the visual style, nice work. My one nitpick is that the wall seemed a little light -- it needs more visual weight somehow.

I thought the jumping control was a little too loose (for someone of my skills anyway).

And for the record I liked that pink ;D.

Good game!

I liked the audio and in general I'm a fan of roguelike games. The camera shake on the attack was cool. However I wish the tile size had been a little bigger, and in the end the play was a little repetitive.

Solar Lift by codekitchen

I thought this was excellent, with good visuals, controls and mechanics, and it has potential for expanding into a bigger game. The interplay between saving people and using the white bar blob-reducer thing (I still don't fully understand it, I might be misinterpreting it) was very interesting. Thanks for a fun game!

Escape From Hell by callidus

Eye-catching visuals here, I liked it a lot. My only complaint is that the jumping needs to be more responsive, it didn't feel tight enough.

DoomCake by Banni

Really cute. This gets bonus points in my book.

Diodontidae necandi by athanazio

Great visuals, and it was cool to push all the garbage around. Overall a relaxing experience.

AWOD by Arowx

This had a really cool visual style, though tt the same time I feel that the enemy and the base representation didn't go together well -- they seemed to be in two different graphical styles in a way with the blockiness of the enemy and the smooth roundness of the base. I guess this does make a contrast between the base and the enemy but still I would have liked the enemy squares to be a little more blobby or rounded.

This was fun and I played quite a few times, good work. I'd definitely like to see this in a longer/expanded version.
