LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Test subject #4218 by Domantas 2014-12-07T21:15:00

that was really good. the animations and level transitions were really good looking, especially for acompo entry. the puzzles definately got hard pretty quick (atleast for me, i hope :P).
my only complaint is when the black and clear cube are introduced (i think it was the third room?) i feel like i cheesed it to solve it, i triggered the pad, got off, warped to the light one past the field that flips up, and then warped to the black cube before it could finish transitioning. im not sure how you were SUPPOSED to solve it. thats all

Wandstep by celeron55 2014-12-08T22:11:00

simple, but kind of complex. it took me a while to actually get the hang of properly executing my steps, but i have to admit once i DID get it down, this was extremely satisfying and made me feel like a wizard :P

Defense the Base by Jordan Kniest 2014-12-08T17:12:00

i really love the way the camera pans inward when you go into the buy menu. ill have to agree that it was frustrating at first (Andrea) but it definately makes up for it once you have a few upgrades under your belt :D

bricky block by quaternary 2014-12-07T23:58:00

the dang it button cracked me up more than it should have. this plays really nicely though, and looks nice and crisp too. good job

Words War by tppr2046 2014-12-07T21:26:00

this is cool, i like the softness of the color palette you used; it compliments the small music loop in the background :P

AZOR by Hellequin 2014-12-08T22:04:00

a surprising amount of narrative (for a ludum dare game) really helped set the mood! the use of music and lighting really helped too, along with the simple but clean artstyle.
my only complaint is that i don't really feel like it follows the theme. good work!

Rubble by Aevek 2014-12-08T21:50:00

managed to get through quite a bit before having some really strange hitbox issues-- but up until there, this is a really solid game, the rubble mechanic is an awesome idea, especially how you tied it in with the saw blades. the physics were a little floaty, but nothing too much to ruin the game :D

The Cubenator by Kuupu 2014-12-11T22:38:00

woah! this is extremely fun. im gonna have to find an irl friend to try this with. love the sounds and in general this game feels great. also loving the title screen demo.

One Scene Prison by nbilyk 2014-12-08T23:45:00

i love this, its really funny. simple idea, good execution :P

Kerfuffle by rabbit 2014-12-08T22:35:00

the graphics as so cute and simple-- i love it. admittedly, i ended up slapping my own shit because i didn't have anyone to play with, but i can imagine this being really fun if i had a friend over and we wanted a simple fighting- or rather, shit slapping game to play. good job :P

Ragtime Pot Toss by Muffinhat 2014-12-07T21:45:00

i have to agree with BtheDestroyer, the physics is definately floaty. but besides that, its good :)

cover by thristhart 2014-12-07T23:55:00

i wasn't expecting so much depth from such a simple little game. its minimal, but its great

endless rules by dunin 2014-12-08T17:19:00

this is really cool! although the controlling felt a bit choppy, i think that was intended to make the mechanics display better. very fun :)

Letter Run by Grehg 2014-12-08T20:07:00

i really like the concept of using letters/symbols that you collect to gradually "unlock" the game. i'm not sure that it really follows the theme, but i like the flat shaded minimal artstyle. all it needs is a little polish :P

Furious Rush by eusekerci 2014-12-08T21:59:00

that might be because it is, shubshub ;). simple, but it was fun to finally pin someone down as the hunter.

Block Brigade by CodeNMore 2014-12-08T22:08:00

although the graphics were lacking, this is still a solid game. it gets extremely challenging later on when there are a lot of enemies onscreen. i never seemed to figure out what the pink squares do though, extra lives? helpers? either way, good job :)

Don't Stop by AndreasL 2014-12-07T20:14:00

its simple- but is unexpectedly difficult. i really like the art style too, its fitting. plus, the little expressions on the player are great :P

The Operator by little-burrito 2014-12-08T22:19:00

very merry christmas to you too :)

really fun game, once i figured it out, the original idea you had in mind sounds like a REALLY fun game, so if you ever get around to prototyping it, ill totally try it <3

Arena of Cube by maxyan 2014-12-07T19:24:00

this is really cool. i really like how the enemies are introduced gradually along with new weapons/items. the only thing i've ran into that was a bit silly was sometimes so many pinks/oranges would spawn that they would teamkill eachother.

Screen Cutter by squirrel 2014-12-07T21:20:00

this is the most innovative idea i've seen so far for this jam.
i found a game-breaking exploit though, which i only found in the last few levels--
if you cut-paste screen over a wall block, you can overwrite it, pick up the new block, and open passageways through ANYTHING.

Space Navels by jkantzer 2014-12-08T22:32:00

the controls are a bit cumbersome, but once you get past them the combat in this game is extremely satisfying.

Jeff The Pink Penguin by Nielz 2014-12-08T20:17:00

i love the clean minimal style you have going on here :D
if anything needs to be touched up, i'd say the controls were a bit clunky to get used to (the turning)-- but after that, this is a really solid game!

Orion by gilead 2014-12-08T22:24:00

i love how you introduce the mechanics gradually, blow up the earth; k, sometimes things move; k, force fields eat your satellites; k, and so forth-- it felt very natural.
i loved the SFX also, :P

Orbitals by DXsmiley 2014-12-07T22:26:00

this requires a surprising amount of timing; it was fun :)

Mechanism by p1x3lruckus 2014-12-08T21:55:00

so far, this is my favorite LD game so far. the graphics are very well done and the idea is simple but it all just *works*. there were a few times that collisions acted a bit unnatural (warping), but it wasnt anything game breaking. awesome entry :D

Attack of the Sodas! by Upgradecap 2014-12-08T00:11:00

man, that's unfortunate. but under the circumstances, this is just as good :)

Cuberot by guldlock 2014-12-08T23:19:00

woah... that was amazing. the music helped build up a good mood, and the graphics are simply amazing; love the animation on the character. no complaints here :P

SPIN-2 by hypnoticbytes 2014-12-08T22:27:00

reminds me of super hexagon, very addictive. it took me a long while to figure out how the game worked, though.
the selection of music is awesome, and i love how the audio synthesis (i hope, atleast, hardcoding all of that would be a pain in the rear) effects EVERYTHING. good job on this one!

Faryad by omegastede 2014-12-08T00:00:00

this is pretty fun. you might want to fix your entries downloads though, right now your exe is under the "Web" category, you should put it under Windows

Shooting Things in Space by oatsbarley 2014-12-07T23:48:00

the controls are very satisfying :D, the way you can swing and curve while firing at resources/enemies.
