LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Fear by NoobDude 2021-05-02T14:53:49Z

Did anyone else get stuck moving left? Probably something on my end... Other than that it seemed like a good game concept and a great first entry! The mood was wonderful; if it wasn't too stressful the first time, keep it up!

Falling Into Dreams by sorlok 2021-04-29T02:16:06Z

Liked the theme, enjoyed how smooth it was to play on Windows Desktop.

Wall of Red String by PTSnoop 2021-05-14T22:45:26Z

Good job! This was original, pretty fun, and fit the theme in a creative way. If the internet worked like this, I wouldn't sleep.

Coffin Drop by cdunham 2021-04-30T01:32:56Z

This is really good! Perfect theme, music fits the mood, and the mechanics are refreshing (as is the world's best pistol - I enjoyed that surprise!)

Perchance to dream by Anne Ogborn 2021-04-27T15:06:06Z

@drew-long I understand. We kept it short so the transitions wouldn't take too long for short text, and we ran out of time to make it variable. Definitely a top-priority for a post-jam edition we hope to work on.

Perchance to dream by Anne Ogborn 2021-05-01T16:50:00Z

@intrepidhero Thank you for the feedback! Happy to hear you had a good and chaotic time.

Perchance to dream by Anne Ogborn 2021-05-01T16:53:33Z

@cdunham and @divford The dreams are definitely random as intended and we had some surprises with the buttons not working (fixed a couple so far). As for the speed, we did not reach variable speed in time for the jam, but it would help in the future. We're glad you both enjoyed it for the chaotic trip it is.

Hellscape by ToxicComputer 2021-05-02T21:03:36Z

Nicely done! Great idea on the mix of top-down and side-scroll; you could really build on that and make a very unique game (which you already have, just you know, a bigger one, because I would like to see it!)

Redtape by NeitherNathan 2021-05-08T00:13:45Z

Can confirm, jam version is cool, but hell is HOT!!! My GPU hit 82 degrees C as I tried to get to the end of the fourth floor. Great aesthetic and fun idea.

Power Station Beta by Dock Frankenstein 2021-05-02T20:55:10Z

Enjoyed the beginning; got stuck, has potential.

GLUB by Birdwards 2021-05-01T15:43:55Z

TIL Switching from "BLOOP" to "GLUB" is like changing from a machine gun to a shotgun. #GlubOP

This should win for innovation. Theme is a little lacking given deeper voice could do something, but understandable since the game works so well as is and uses a totally foreign control mechanism relative to most games. It's a game that actually makes you "play," like how a little kid plays. Brilliant!

Rabbits Running by Taximan981 2021-05-11T13:48:13Z

Fun!

Tall Tales by Octopoid 2021-04-30T01:02:49Z

I failed to find the farmer! But it was a nicely designed game, good visuals, thematic audio, and seeing all the things I did find, I could tell there was a cool story in there somewhere. Good job!

Polyomino Prospector by David-Liddelow 2021-04-29T01:57:46Z

This was fun! Nice twist on the classic!

Decay by KeithSwanger 2021-05-05T00:50:15Z

I enjoyed this modification of The Sims. I am glad to see EA made it more real. I would buy the DLC, but I spent all my debts on the hopsital and then died.

Dream Diver by Stephen Scott Day 2021-05-04T15:20:15Z

This is gold. From the perfectly voice-acted intro to the gameplay that at first was confusing but naturally began to make sense to the innovative graphics - a combination of immersive sets with simple NPC models that made the mechanics of the game intuitive (not to mention the detail that you could see more and more sedative shots on the first red guy) - to the fantastic score - which even slowed down with levels giving deeper and deeper immersion - to the theme thoroughly incorporated into the game. Sound cues on entering dreams, getting a powerup, and perhaps playing with that ambience from the beginning fading out as you go deeper are all that I can think might enrich the audio. Graphically, maybe a GUI for powerups and a light outline to make them more obvious when they spawn. Oh and I forgot to mention the best part of this game: it's fun!

I hope you win something for this. With multiplayer, I could see this on Steam. 10/10

Mafioso Incognito by pokii 2021-04-27T16:22:41Z

Fun! It was simple and everything worked!

In detail: the audio was nice, the graphics were great, not innovative on theme or type of game, but it was extremely well-executed. Even had a boss fight!

Down Town by steven-vd 2021-04-30T01:25:38Z

Nicely done! Thanks to @iorena 's comment I didn't quit the game after demolishing my house the first dozen times. It's a good game, it's on theme, and it works! Good job!

FruitLies by Jake B. 2021-04-30T23:57:35Z

This was fun! Connected to the theme, tight-knit story. I just played some mad beets online and it was perfect.

Downer Diver by MkMuffi 2021-05-01T01:43:47Z

Nicely done, looks professional and plays well.

Deep within my soul by Melancholia 2021-05-01T01:38:29Z

Graphics and the little bit of audio did the trick; excellent for 48 hours!

Cyber Monsters by liero116 2021-05-07T23:53:43Z

Good job, fun game, swazzy graphics, and nice soundtrack.
