A unique spin on tetris, with an A theme remix? Sign me up!

Really fresh idea and great use of the theme. Nice and addictive gameplay

I had TONS of fun with it, and it's such a nice twist on the Tetris formula. A lot of people try to make Tetris better or different, but you actually made a fantastic one out of this. The limited deck you have and the possibility to either use normal peaces or mine drill pieces for the stone is so good! Bild_2021-04-27_151804.png

This is so fun! I was able to get it running on MacOS Mojave. (I resolved the 'app is damaged' error by running the GateKeeper_Helper script. You can find it on github.) Would love a web version! And ability to stream the OST lol

Loved the concept, the nostalgic feeling and the art. You managed to innovate while keeping the retro feel and aesthetic. Hope you keep expanding and building on it, great entry!

Pretty nice twist on Tetris. I like the deck idea, exploring deeper and deeper until the end. Interesting to explore the idea of what is a good pieces in this game.

Nice crossover of tetris! Graphics are nice. Overall the game feels nice and polished. Good job!

Really interesting game!! I had a hard time grasping the mechanics at first but I think it's a great concept, very original too. I don't think I've ever seen something like that.

You innovated on 2 different fronts here - the mining and the upgrade progression. Pretty bold of you to toss in 2 completely new things but I guess it IS Tetris which is a game that really hasn't been iterated on much. Though I never QUITE figured out the digging rules, I had a general sense of when I would cut into the dirt and when I would not, and almost always got to where I want to be. I think that's a good result of the design if I can sort of fumble my way to the goal I had in mind so very nice job on that front.

Ye old medieval remix of the Tetris theme was a perfect fit and the interface is solid even though you had to crap in a lot more than a normal Tetris game. I liked how you went all in on the theme, from the texture on the background to the nice serif font you chose.

The upgrades certainly kept me going a few more rounds so I'm glad you threw that in. Some of the pieces were fun to play with and really changed my approach. Neat game!

Thanks for the feedback. The rules for digging were hard to dial in. In the end we settled on a piece digging when: - It has no tiles poking out into open space, or - It hits a rock (and doesn't have enough diamond drills), or - It is about to fall off resources by itself (ie no player input), and would fall onto fewer resources than it is on at the moment.

I'm happy to hear that it is mostly reading your mind (doing what you intend to do) and agree that it is a bit opaque. I tried removing the resource-dig rule and making Enter force-dig the piece, but it felt a bit clunky at the time so I dropped the idea. Resource combos seemed like a central satisfying part of the game so we wanted something that made them a bit easier to get.

I really like being able to play the non-shop part of the game with just the arrow keys. It's a tradeoff though, and the straightfowardness of a force-dig key may have been worth the extra controls. Having your piece die to a stray bit of coal is a bit annoying.

I'm not sure I have much to add beyond what everyone else has said. Really excellent iteration on the Tetris design. The kind of Old West Saloon re-imagining of the Type A music was a fantastic choice. The digging rules weren't always obvious, but also didn't hinder progress too much. Great work!

This is really cool, a nice way to blend Tetris and digging games into something that feels fresh. As a few other folks have said, the new take on the Tetris theme is also excellent!

Nice way of reversing the Tetris gameplay, including going deeper quickly instead of completing lines. It feels very different than Tetris but at the same time has the familiarity of placing polyominos, with an added navigation challenge. The graphics are well done. Nice remix of Korobeiniki.

Nice! The Tetris and digging game blend feels and plays really well!

Very innovative concept and well pulled off! I really enjoyed this and it is quite impressive that you manage to even add upgrades in. Great job!

Really cool Tetris spin, took me a bit of time to figure out how the digging works but wasn't too cumbersome. Excellent music and nice job even including the shop system in.
