Great concept for a game! I really like the strategy of deciding when it was best to shoot enemies versus sneaking past them. The different enemy types spawning different block patterns was a smart design choice, too. Nice presentation, graphics, and music! I really had fun with this and enjoyed it all the way to the end :)
Intersting twist to a top down shooter. My hotline miami habits made me try to rush through the levels but I quickly realized I need to think for a second. Well done :)
Cool idea, and fun for a while, but the camera and the limited lives are big issues. I died because of the camera more than because of my mistakes. This wouldn't a be big deal if there wasn't limit lives. When the problematic camera is combined with limited lives, I felt like I was being heavily punished for things I barely have control over.
@brogolem35 I agree, in some levels the view can be made some trouble. I don't have time to made a scrolling view like hotline miami for exemple (when you push shift), another solution was to modify level design or simplify to fit the entiere level in the view. Honestly the game is not be difficult, if you are prudent, 5 lives is good i think, if you made a mistake, the next life you have the information to not made the same and the game is short and speed, you can beat the 16 levels in a few minute without speedrunning. If you have take a good time it's the most important, lot of game use frustration of the player to push it to made better and give him an accomplishement sentiment. So learning by death is not a bad idea.

I'm really enjoying the original concept of this game, especially the larger blocks which took me by surprise. It could move the camera using the right mouse button.
Took a few tries but got it, pretty unique gameplay and interactions, like shooting guys after you're past them so you get some score still :smile: good sounds and graphics, great gameplay.

Cool concept. It seems that its mostly better to avoid then enemies rather shooting them, especially the later ones that spawn multiple blocks and can easily either block an entire room or just kill you when youre too close. The graphics need an upgrade but are perfectly acceptable for a solo jam game.
The bast strategy is to avoid shooting enemys if you can. Fun little game. Great work.
Great game, I love the concept! In lvl 1 I instinctively started playing the game and got blocked out immediately. That felt like a real aha! moment. Graphics are fine but the AI artwork felt really out of place to me, I think your game would've been fine without. I wasn't good enough to make it until the end but I would love to see a version that let's you keep playing to see the rest. Very well done for a solo project!

really liked the game, enjoyed that defeating enemies to pass could also stop your progress. I do like the graphics for the style of game that is is.
Nice to see fellow top-down shooter! It felt like an inverse bomberman although at some point it was easier to sneak around the enemies than shooting them. Maybe reduce the default walking speed a bit. Also good art & music, overall nice polishing!
I chose a strategy to avoid enemies and kill only those who block the way. And that was really fun! The idea of transformation enemies into different walls is cool. IMHO spread guns too OP, I think their need some animations before shooting or shooting direction highlighting. It can be helpful for player to indicate shots and avoid them. Good choice of bg music, it fits to game very well. Great job! :clap:
