Well - it was something different than I usually play ^^. But it is really cute. The graphics are awesome! May i will recommend that game to my wife (she loves reading-games).
There was only one thing I've missed: speeding up the text. I'm really impatiant in that regard and for me that kills replayability. Because I want to go fast to the branches I haven't read yet.
But besides that this was a really nice new experience :-)

Really liked the mood, super cute art. A bit slow paced for me, I wish I could have sped up the text but then again that is part of the mood I guess, it's all very relaxed and cute. Overall it was a super nice experience.
The game was lovely ! I laught when I saw the raven (no spoil but if you know, you know) I'm sad that it wasn't more longer :)
I like the rave of this game. The mood is a good feelings one and the art is super good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great job!
I love the art in this! The stories are also very cute. I do wish it was possible to speed up the lines as I read faster than the generation pace. I loved what you did with the unique text animations. Very relaxing experience overall
Yay, I loved that! It feels just like a story book, you absolutely nailed the mood. I love the cute little illustrations, and even though it's really short, the whole idea of a "choose your own adventure game" in this style is fantastic! This is the first game I've played so far, and I've gotta say, this is off to a great start!
My only complaint was the inability to speed up the text, even when there's only a few endings, it get's a little annoying going through the same pieces of dialogue over and over again. Great job, both of you!

The art is so beautiful and the music fits perfectly. I also really liked the text animation, though it was just a bit slow. Everything is super cute. Great work!

Super cute. I loved the art, and it was really refreshing to see a visual novel type game. It was very illustrative, like a children's book. Great job!
loved this :) the art style was so pretty and reminded me of the illustrated books i used to read as a kid! not sure if this game was made in twine but if it was, it was also cool to see that engine being used. for a game jam, i almost never see games like this so this was a very unique, sweet, and simple game to play. would appreciate your feedback on our game as well!
Lovely game! The story and art is very cute.

It's so cute! I really enjoyed the story with the calming atmosphere!(+the idea of showing the characters we met during the game is really nice)
The audiovisuals are just beautiful, really love them. Wish that there were more riddles or interactions like with the mice. Slow text wasn't much of an issue, I happily clicked through everything multiple times to see the art and see what my decisions have led to. Great game.
The colors really enhanced the mood.

This game is so adorable and the art style is gorgeous! I had come across this kind of text animation in "The Lion's Song" and it enchants the mood so dearly, fits this game so well!

@tomate-salat Thank you so much for playing, and I am glad you enjoyed it and even want to recommend it to your wife, I hope it lives up to her standard ^^
We did update the itch playable to be able to skip the text so I hope this helps, I am a quite impatient person as well so I totally get it haha. Thank you for the feedback :)
@ja-viera Thank you for playing and I am glad you enjoyed the mood~ We have added the skip option now so you can play it at your preferred pace. Thank you for the feedback ^^
@minakorii Hehe I am glad you like the raven, he is definitely my favourite boi :P Thank you for playing and wishing it was longer. Alas, all good things have to come to an end ;)

The illustrations are so pretty! Such a wholesome game <3 I can only recommend to play it again to see all characters! (The discovered characters appear as soon as the game starts over) cute detail!

This is such an amazing, well-written little fairytale, with beautiful music and drawings to boot. My favorite things about this:
- The plucking of strings, soft pads and flute - The fairytale itself! - How there's almost always something interesting moving on the screen - Nuts in all sorts of shapes and sizes - Cute, well drawn characters - The animals softly bouncing, when you hover over them - The visual effects added for emphasis to certain words in the story - The FIFTH, hidden nut brought by an unexpected twist to the story - How well everything is put together - The knife :bird:
A children's book come alive! Will certainly recommend this to friends :chestnut:
wow, how cute! i like how you collect them all on the menu, and how they all bounce when you mouse them. i tried so hard to find the fifth nut, i think i explored every dialogue option and got two bad ends. i thought it might be a way to secretly cross the river... alas.
great work! i love the children storybook art style.
also dang, that raven! what a surprising attack!

Such a cute game! I love the art being sparse, really feels like playing a children's book. The music is really good too, instantly boosted my mood!

This is fantastic! The art is so picturesque, and the music is the perfect choice. I love the parts of the scene fading in as various sentences unfold. Also, the writing is wonderfully done. Amazing detail and replayability for a jam game - wow! You guys should be extremely proud of such a high quality result.

@chompdev Thank you!! :) I am really glad you liked the art and had an enjoyable time replaying the game thank you so much for the high praise and the cute screenshot~
@labtoast Thank you! I am glad our game was a little mood booster for you :)
@sephowepho Thank you for playing and I am so glad you liked the mood ands illustrations :) Yeah we definitely realised that thanks to the feedback and have changed it so you can now speed up the text in the web version so I hope it is now more fun to play~ :)
@jamdong15 Aww thank you very much! We definitely tried to get the children's book style so I am glad it comes across so well. I wrote the story in Twine but the final game was made in Unity, so yes and no :)
@big-cyckos Thank you so much! I am glad you liked the audio-visuals and had a good time playing through the game. Yes I would have also liked to add some more mini games but in the end we decided to take it easier this game jam and keep it simple :) Maybe next time :P
@cody1712 I am glad you enjoyed the game and found our cute little character Easter egg! It is definitely my favourite addition to the game :)
@fnkee Aww thank you so much for taking the time to write such an elaborate comment! I am so glad you enjoyed the game and enjoyed our knife bird. He is definitely my favourite haha.
@sakura-magika Hehe thank you :) I am glad you enjoyed the game and sadly there is no secret sneaky way to cross the river haha, it was a bit of an easteregg nod to the game Jack is currently working on Valley Peaks hahaha, I just sometimes cannot resist hidden messages and ofc birds with knifes :P I am glad you enjoyed the game
Such a cute little gem!!! The art style was incredibly endearing, you nailed the design and color palette and overall it felt just like those old tales my mom would read to me as a kid when I went to bed.
Extremely heartwarming and a really clever spin on the theme. I ran through each choice so that I could see all endings and was so happy to see that each one had something different, even just a minor choice of words, and that felt pretty satisfying too. Bravo!
What a lovely little game! Loved the illustrations, it pulled off minimalism extremely well. Everything about it felt very slick, really nice work!
