Had fun playing the game, really cool !
Totally awesome game! I've been blasting until score 72, where i had found not enough space from the entire amount of enemies! "Grenades are awesome", the art is fantastic, tt was a total blast, great job! :ok_hand:
Fun game! Altough i can't decide if i died from touching literal death or overdosing on pills.
@souldrake @ds-nahogara @milan8890 thank you, glad you guys had fun and enjoyed our games :D
I like mechanics of pills and granades, I enjoyed playing it
I really like the game character! Fun game, nice art!
love the game! really good art and sound effects. i like that the game is simple yet effective and fits the theme well! just a shame im terrible at it and my high score is 44 :joy:
Art
Audio
Gameplay
My gaming skills
Seriously though this is a solid entry. Works as a game, and is a complete experience. Can't ask more from a jam game than that.
Good stuff :8ball:
Very fun, you nailed the most important things, the movement and shooting mechanics are very satisfying.
Nice and funny game. Very fitting music and it gets you kind of addicted.
Love the art and the use of sound effects is great. Really fun game that I want to replay
Honestly this was pretty fun, the graphics were effective and the music was catchy. I liked the theming and the idea that the player is always losing health. Pills spawn fast, but there can only be a maximum of two on the screen, so you have to be constantly moving, even if you aren't getting hit by enemies. And you have to be careful not to be constantly shooting, or else you won't be moving fast enough to keep up your health. Fun!
One thing I would have liked to see is feedback when you hit an enemy, right now it's not too fun when I hit them. Some small particle effects on hit, and/or a sound effect, and/or a brief color change would have been super satisfying. Shooters are best when the player gets rewarding feedback, or at least I think so.
I had a high score of 101! This was solid and fun. How did this guy bring a gun into limbo, by the way? And who's leaving pills everywhere? ... Anyways, I hope to see all of you in Ludum Dare 51, this was a good game!
Thank you, for all of your kind comments and glad you have fun!
@celtican It was in my to-do-list to add some particle effects on hit. I wanted to create 2 different on hit particle (1 for normal hit, 1 for when you had the [Second Wind] up). Just don't really have the time for it, I'm not that familiar with Unity's particle system yet. And for other feedbacks (animations and/or sound effects), tbh we totally forgot about it :joy: . Thank you for the idea of "brief color change", it really didn't cross my mind.
The pills was intended to be a sign of people in the real world keeping you alive by giving medication. And for the gun, honestly, we didn't really think about it.
What a good entry! It shows that you all put a lot of work into it as there is a lot of polish. At the end I wanted to know more stats, how many bullets I fired, my accuracy, etc. Keep on making games \o/
Simple concept executed well. I thought it would be easy at first but Death made sure I knew my place.
the game is good, the character's movement speed a bit slow and the ghost is fast
The back button overlapped some of the SFX slider, some things like the health automatically decreased and the skill automatically activates needs an explanation in the tutorial. But overall nice game.
Enjoyed the game, everything was good but it maybe got too difficult too quick as I managed to die at around the same score 3 times (maybe its just me though๐ )
The art is great and really liked the idea! Fits the theme perfectly
That's a cool game for jam! I like the vibe and audio. I also like that it's not that easy. Great job!
A simple game, but well executed. Maybe more "juice" or feedback would've been good, such as when the player or the enemies were being damaged. Maybe some more enemy variety too.
I like the art, simple but very nice. Cool work with sound, everything is in the subject. I did not quite understand the tutorial, so I had to figure it out as the game progressed. I like the idea, everything is cool!
The game is fun and well made, I like the hand made graphics and the music is so entertaining. I made few try and the game progression seems always the same is the only critical for me. Maybe add boss, or trap on the floor between wave to put variety, or reduce the surface of the arena with the time. Good job, it was fun and a great entry.score.png My best score is 72.
That's fun little game, which fits the theme perfectly! I would have liked to be able to trigger the second wind ability manually. Also it would be awesome, if this game had an online leaderboard. But otherwise it's really amazing! And I managed to get a score of 95 :)

I had fun playing and replaying but I didn't exceed a score of 60! The theme is well respect, the sound and art are pleasant but it lacks some feedbacks to make it more dynamic. (Effects when you hit an enemy and when they appear?) The movements that slow down when you shoot are a very good idea that forces you to think your actions rather than shoot everywhere without thinking! It's a well done game, congratulations to the whole team =)
Nice little game, simple but efficient. Good job!
Simple, but pretty neat! What I like about this one compared to similar games is that there is strategy to shooting constantly or choosing to stop for a while. Grenades are neat too. Cool stuff!
@frozenfire92 that is such a good idea. I guess for a game like this "beating my previous run" need to be more emphasized. We will keep this in mind if we're making similar kind of game.
@ambatukam that was our intent at first, we want to make player make the decision when to move or attack. Maybe we could have balance it better next time.
@tama-te For the skill automatically active, we did put "When you're under 50% health" in the tutorial. But I guess we should probably also change the word "skill" to "passive" so it will be more accurate. For the health automatically drop, yeah we just forget to put it :pensive: . And for the button overlapped, I need to look more into it. Although I did force the resolution to 16:9
@spitzy we will try to give more time in testing. Sadly, it is not possible for our current state of work speed.
@ratstail91 @robowarrior1982 @korvack you're absolutely right. Sadly, we can't really get into it fast enough. Maybe we will try to find some technique to implement those without wasting to much time. Or just get good and fast at doing our work.
@stefan-laimer Hmm, we will think about that. Maybe an option to be able to active it manually or automatically will be the best? Since we don't really want to overload players with control and decision making, especially for a jam game where people usually only play for a bit.
I'm sorry that my respond is kinda slow, and didn't even include all of you who commented. We really appreciate those who have played and glad you're having a blast playing it. Thank you very very much to all of you who even take your time to put your feedback. They're all well received and we will definitely think/consider it.
I totally pwned this game. I loved the connection to the theme also. Like how all those skel-e scum were just avoiding the inevitable before facing their ultimate demises from my death gun. MwahAhAhaHaHAhAhA!!!
Had fun playing this! Was able to get 58 as my top score. I love how your health is just sinking so you have an inevitable death you're delaying by taking the pills. Love the main character artwork!
I found it really hard to control with the laptop pad. I plugged in a controller and it was easier to move but had to use the mouse button to shoot.
I'm terrible in gaming but I like it!
Plays pretty well. I'm not quite sure on the timing for when to use the grenade effectively.
This game is fun! But wished there's more pills spawning.
Really fun for such a simplistic game! Only thing is that the game seemed to freeze completely when I hit "quit" after dying. I guess HTML5 exports don't really know what to do with that command.
simple entry, but it works, good job!
Solid game ๐ช Perhaps not the most innovative but it was polished, looked and sounded nice. Definitely enjoyable! That's all we really need in a game. I thought I had hit some movement bug at first but it turned out........ I had forgotten to plug my keyboard back in. ๐
Very enjoyable game! Graphics and especially the music and sounds are great. Being able to adjust settings without having to quit to main menu is a valued feature for a jam game. More variety in terms of gameplay would have been appreciated (upgrades, more power-ups, different enemy types etc.), but the core gameplay functions really well and is fun. Good job!
Solid entry here !
Input are really intuitive and I love the sound effects in the menu they fit very well with your music.
@nafos-games yeah, our programmer haven't yet learn to handle controls besides keyboard and mouse. Sorry for the inconvenience.
@mac-dragoness we do get some feedbacks about the difficulty (pills, enemies, etc). We really should've put more time in game balancing.
@charred-axolotl honestly, this is our first time building the game into HTML5. Didn't really know that the quit button will make the game freezes. By the time we finished uploading the game, it's already 2 hours from deadline and our programmer is too lazy to remove the quit button and rebuild it.
@justmars 100% agree. The game mechanics really lack variety. We just need the programmer to get good and code faster honestly.
Sorry for the VERY LATE reply guys. Thank you for you all who had tried our game. We are very happy that you had fun. And thank you very much for all the feedbacks that you've wrote, definitely won't sleep on those, we will keep all of them in mind.
Fun and exciting game. Would have liked some feedback on when the bullet hits the enemies though.
