This was a lot of fun! Great gameplay, nice "mini games". I am normally not a big fan of quicktime-events, but these were more like mini games, and added a nice little task to do to free the cats. The cat-a-logue ... brilliant. I love cats. That probably helped :wink: I wish the upgrade effects were easier to see or would feel more impactful.
My absolute favorite detail is, how you solved the question: How do you get back up to the elevator, without making it a platformer. Could have used a teleportation mechanic, or not have asked the user to get back up at all, but no! The (best!) solution is: Lets make our character fly like a dragon-fly on steroids while being hooked to a rope that extends into infinity. Love it!
I was not ready for the second cats gameplay introduction lol it works pretty well. Nice moment playing this game !

Unlocked all the cats. A lot of details worth mentioning about this game, such as the nuuuuuu sound after you comforted a cat, haha! I bet the maker of this game is very familiar with cats. The animations, music and the various hilarious effects make this game really fun!

FUN and humor is 10/10! Visuals are also super basic, but really charming. I only wish the quick time events were a bit slower, cause most of the time I'm not ready for them :D Anyway, had a real gag playing, thanks! BTW the theme of your game is super close to ours, I was in a little shock haha :D Best of luck to you!

This was absolutely hilarious, I loved it! Breaking into the 2nd layer is maybe the best part of the game, and the use of sound effects is purrr-fect. It seems to have been developed with a controller in mind, and I had to navigate the shop menu with the keyboard when all of the other buttons worked with the mouse. You may also want to consider adding a penalty when the player misses 2-3 QTE prompts, I'm not great at them but I found that by spamming j and k I could harvest any cat that got in my way!
My only complaint is on the collider outside of the elevator, it would be awesome if the collider in the mine matched it so I can hold left to enter immediately instead of having to drop down a bit.

After some time in the game the time passed in getting up to the elevator can become a little bit boring, espellialy when you are coming back from the deeper levels
Maybe some shortcuts unlockable on the way could do the trick

@nicso We realized along the way that a lot of poeple did not understand that you could go down with the elevator :D We should have made this more obvious, maybe that was your problem :/ you should try to do it, it's fun, there is screen shake and all

Thas was a fun little game I guess youre a cat person :) It took long for me to realise that i can go down with the elevator :)
Really fun little mining experience! Art and audio are quite cute and awesome and I love the fact that the player character is a grandma :) The movement feels really good, especially the flying up and "elevatoring" down (which I only figured out by accident). It got a bit grindy quite fast but that next upgrade was always in sight, and well, the grind is an appeal in games like this. Overall, I really enjoyed this, great job!
I'll be honest, I've seen a lot of games similar to this, as in digging down then going back up and repeating, but yours is the first one i genuinely kept replaying! I think I was really charmed by the way you had to do minigames to unlock the cats, its not just a "rapid dash" to the ores or gemstones like many others! Also the idea of having to go back up to restore light was really cool.
ALso theres something about an elevator mechanic!? Think I missed it, I was literally digging straight down half the time. But overall, great work, I love cats too :D

i really liked this one, the animations of this adorable cat loving dwarf grandma are great. i liked the shrinking light mechanic, making it harder to find your way back up, meaning you have to manage both your time and your mining patterns to be able to get back in time.
i think the mechanics of capturing a cat could use work, i found that i could just spam J and K and instantly capture any cat. unless that was intentional. it didn't really detract from the fun, it was enjoyable enough to spam buttons and get as many cats as possible, but i felt like i wasn't playing the game as intended, since it had this "press the right button" instruction.
also, at some point i activated the "super granny lightining bolt" mode once, but i never figured out how it works, how to activate it, what's needed, etc. was that ever explained anywhere?
I enjoyed playing this, but man, i rate humor highly cause this name of the game, it's awesome, it made me laugh
A nice Idea overall, the idea of a granny mining for cats made me giggle a lot. Other than that the mechanics of the game is simple yet somehow quite addicting, also I love when you enter the elevator there's a music, it's a really lovely touch. Amazing work :)
I was first attracted by the spider-grandma on the preview with the cat's butt popping out of the gound, and I satyed to discover every cats from the cat-a-logue :) The humour is on point, the title of the game is perfect (even though you can only fully appreicate it if you speak french) and I've enjoyed playing it. The elevator music fits unexpectedly well with your story! Now, I've read that I could go down with the elevator, so I will go and try it right away. Only improvement for me would be to put an HTLM version. Usually I'm reticent to download games but I made an exception for yours as I really like the idea of being a spider-grandma.
HUD was cut-off. Probably because I was playing on an ultra-wide monitor and fullscreen was forced. A non-fullscreen option would be appreciated.

The game is nice and I love the humer of it, the ability to upgrade your stuff is amazing I wish we could upgrade more than the battery or pickaxe, and the UI for them can be one button instead of having multiple. great job guys I enjoyed the game and mining for cats lol

Really fun idea and game, I would have only wished there were some more, harder minigames because I was just mashing A and B all the time.
Ok I think I found my prefered LD48's game. It was very fun, graphics are good, sounds effects are great, ans I love the music elevator XD It made me want to continue until I buy any upgrades and I find any types of cats. Thank you for this very pleasant and fun moment. Very good job guys :)
Had a great time playing it, the fact that i could move freely verticaly was clever. I didn't feel the power of my upgrades and the first cat rescue mechanic is a little hard on keyboard because I only have two hands. Very good music too the menu bossa nova was a banger !
I love the weird prophesy voice line hahahaha. Fun solid gameplay. I did not like the minigames at first but after figuring out I could mine with "j" it got a lot better.
Strangely addicting. Screaming cat sounds were hilarious.
I wish there was some punishment for getting the minigames wrong (one of them can be just spammed to completion, and in the other you can try as long as you need to without any penalty).
Bought all upgrades and got to the very bottom.

I like bosses and the fact that you don't need fight with them every run. It gives you feels of progression. I also like that you can use elevator instead of come back to the top every time. The game froze when I complete around ~80% of upgrades.
