So beatiful but I didn't get it at all...
Very atmospheric, very calming little simulation, cohesive art style. I wish there was more to do than just click on stuff, and read about it, but still a memoirable experience. I like it!
Wow, that was really atmospheric. I love the graphics and music so much! It was also cool to see DJ in the bedroom of author, cause I have one too :) Music reminds me a bit of electronic producer San Holo.
The graphics are top-notch, but I don't see the theme used anywhere. There's also not much to do than click on stuff. It's well made though, I can imagine this being a great adventure game if expanded a little. Good job.
Like the others, the art is amazing. I think it might be a really relaxing experience for those who just like walking, reading and taking their time :)
@gabriel-dias-oliveira-de-almeida Haha thanks for playing anyway. Glad I could at least confuse you ;)
@acuriosity Thanks for the compliments and for playing!! The game is heavily inspired by games like Life is Strange, where it was my favourite thing to just walk around a room and read about all the backstory all the objects had. I totally understand it's not for everyone though!
@fockx That's awesome to hear that you're a DJ too! Glad you liked it. PS. I freaking love San Holo (I've seen him live 3 times!!), so that's probably a subconscious inspiration. Thanks for playing!
@ondy1985 Thanks for the kind words! The theme inspiration here was a little far fetched, but it's explained a little in the introduction text. I agree it's not the most strict interpretation but oh well ;) Thanks for playing anyway!
@130n35 Yey! Thanks a bunch, it means a lot to me :)
I love the art style and music which has a soothing effect on me.
Not really a game per se, more like an interactive diary, but the visuals and atmosphere are gorgeous. Well done on the art.
The art style is really cool. You should be really proud of it.
Wonderful visuals and calming audio really create a relaxing atmosphere to explore the room in. I'd be keen to see a longer game with this style :slight_smile:
PS: What is the font you used?
@tom-kun That's so good to hear, thanks for playing!
@ludumup You're right, that is kind of the style I was going for. Thanks a lot for the compliments!
@nohua <3 <3 Appreciate ya!
@shortbread That's awesome to hear, super glad you found some relaxation in this. For the font I used Cheeks Rosy (https://www.dafont.com/cheeks-rosy.font), but it's still only a demo version (some special characters, and numbers aren't done), and you can only use it for non-commercial use :) Here is the full version for commercial use: https://edricstudio.com/cheeks-rosy-font-duo/.
WOW ! Art style is insane!!! i love so much! GG at you!
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
It really did remind me of all the little dialogs when you examine things in Life is Strange. Had the same vibe, full of memories and thoughts. I really enjoyed it. You did great on the atmosphere and writing!
Hey turtle, awesome little game! Here's the link to the vod if you wanna rewatch. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/763143712
Nice atmosphere. I'd love to explore more of this world.
Very cosy little game.) Liked it a lot. I want to make something similar someday - a small comfortable game to relax and chill.
This was a really nice experience. I LOVED the art style! I teared up reading about the dad (your dad?). Made me miss mine. Amazing! Congrats..
Loved the hand drawn art style. Mixed with the descriptions of each of the items really came across as an interactive memoir. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to relax and explore these memories.
I loved those graphics, really cool atmosphere
@bobparis75 Thanks so much, I really appreciate the excitement!! :D
@etrealjunior Thanks!
@hadi-danial I'm very glad I could remind you of that, it was a huge inspiration for me! Thanks so much :)
@lanalux Thanks so much for the kind words, that's about the best compliment I could have gotten!
@alexascher Yesss! That's exactly the vibe I was going for (and that I wanted to make a game with for so long). Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for playing!
@tomeyro It makes me very happy to know that you got some value of out this experience! This is the first time I've gone really personal with a story, so it's good to hear that at least some people are relating, hope you're well! Thanks a lot for playing, it means a lot to me :)
@jammygunns No, thank YOU for playing this game! :D I'm glad you liked it!
@colmaphis-games Thanks, much love!
Wow the art style is probably the best I have seen so far this Jam. Really it looks so goddamn good. The music fits really well building a great atmosphere. Nicely done!
This is really sweet, I love the art! The ties to the theme are maybe a little tenuous and could've been hammered on a bit harder through the exploration, but I honestly like the somewhat quieter tie to the theme. Maybe just because I know what the theme is, but it had me actually thinking about what I was seeing and where you might've been coming from.
Congrats on your beginning forays into writing, I've always been to scared to try haha
The narrative and art are on point! And I definitely felt those LiS vibes which is good since there are not many games like it. The game made me feel really happy and calm so thank you for that! <3
Aww, what a sweet game and a nice message. Playing this made me reminisce about similar experiences in my own life. Thanks for the trip down memory lane :smile:
@bredera That's a huge compliment, thank you! I appreciate it a lot.
@mathemagician I totally agree that the ties to the theme are pretty loose, but I agree that interpretation on the end of the player is also interesting, so maybe it's an advantage in disguise? Hehe. And thanks, I've always felt that writing was 'scary', but it's actually not! It's quite fun, really.
@getsky I'm so happy you say that, definitely what I was going for. Thanks for playing!
@angelee Memory lane is where it's at! ^.^ Thanks so much for playing, glad you enjoyed!
Cozy and chill game, I'd have loved to have a way to get out and having there the reflexion you show at the beginning, because when you start playing it feels like you have tried to fit the game with just those words and can influence on the player's perspective of the level and narrative design. Well done by the way, I absolutely loved it!
Narrative games aren't really my thing but I really lvoed the graphics and the mood they brought to the game. I haven't much to say about the game but congratulations for the awesome graphics!
Wow-I loved this! The art & music both made such a sweet and thoughtful mood. I might've liked to see a different marker on items I'd already clicked on--it would've made it a bit easier to find the last couple of memories--but honestly, this game has such a nice vibe that I didn't mind a couple of repeats.
Ooooh, you're that guy! I'd been seeing your stuff on the Feed, really amazing concept! I love it! :D
@iker-diaz Thanks so much for playing, I'm happy to hear you enjoyed! There actually is a way to get out of the room (tip: collect all memories), but I won't spoil the rest ;)
@jonathan-lorenz Totally fair, still glad you played and enjoyed the graphics, thanks!
@dumplingsquid Awesome, thanks so much for playing! Great suggestion with the marker, I've heard others also so that, so I'll probably add that as a small patch later. Glad you enjoyed!
@theaidency Haha yeah I'm in the Discord, we were even in a community discussion together! Thanks so much man, appreciate the compliments!
Cute and meditative game! Pretty art style too.
I adore this art style, really nice work! The sound track is lovely too. Nice work!
Amazing art style! Didn't really see the goal in it, and not sure how the theme fit into it all. Liked the story a lot and the mood was set really well!
@strawb-n Thanks, glad you enjoyed :)
@jemsmith That's great to hear!! I didn't make the sound track, but spent quite some time looking for that one perfect track, so I'm glad you liked it!
@jvdwijk Glad you enjoyed! The story has a loose connection to the theme, but it was more of a inspiration tbh. Mood is what I was going for, so thanks!
Wow. I mean, seriously, wow! I'm almost tempted to go back through the other games I gave 5 stars in mood to, and lower them. This **really** raised the bar. Absolutely incredible. Were these based on your actual life, or a fictional character you made up? Either way, it absolutely radiates emotion. If this doesn't win in mood, I'd be shocked. Incredible work all around.
@100th-coin Genuinely thank you so much for your comment! I can't tell you how much it means to me as a game developer when people connect to something you made on an emotional level. I'm currently in a period of my life where I'm very rapidly leaving behind old memories, places and people, which inspired the writing in the game. I'm not a very good writer, but I tried to be as genuine as possible. I'm very glad you enjoyed the experience :)Thanks again for playing.
relaxing and so soft and cute, everything suits the game and the theme. felt like I'm a teenager again, like it all happenned yesterday. cool decission about the art, looks pretty good)
@pinkunicorn Thank you! That's so awesome to hear :D
Really great mood, and cool art style. The story is pretty cool too !
I liked the art and calm music you have chosen for this atmosphere. Only thing I wish to find a key to unlock the door. Visualization is really cool.
sooooo beautiful. :heart: :cry: i want more !
@raivk Thanks a bunch :) I really appreciate it!
@enes-ayyildiz Very glad to hear the game chilled you out! I'll give you a hint: there is a key you can unlock, but you might have to look around some more ;)
@mrstari Such a great compliment! Thanks a lot, these comments really warm my heart <3
Really nice take on a loop, might make you think about stuff :) Love the aesthetic a lot, visually and audio wise it's incredible! Well done on the entry :) May not be strong on the gameplay but it is very nice in every other aspect!
this is really lovely! the 2d sketch -> 3d model style looks wonderful. the music fits well with the mood, and i like how its written, sometimes heartfelt and sometimes witty.
i want to especially, Especially, thank you for using gender neutral pronouns in the love letter from your first crush. it really means a lot to me, to feel included in this space you've created, and be able to really see myself in it.
@shelvid Thanks you, I'm glad you liked it!
@sakura-magika What a lovely comment, thank you so much! You pointed out the exact 3 things that are really important to me, so that's awesome to hear. Also, I'm really glad you appreciated the gender neutral pronouns, that was definitely a conscious choice I wanted to make to make the story more open to anyone playing :) Thanks for the feedback!
This game was awesome! I was initially very interested because the premise is surprisingly similar to our game (we also made a narrative point & click game about exploring a room LOL). I love the mood: the art style + nostalgic writing made for an enjoyable playing experience. Super cute!
@emily-pitcher Very kind words, thanks so much for checking this little game out! Crazy that we kind of had the same idea for the game, haha. I'll be checking your game out, very interested to see the approach you guys took. Thanks again for the compliments, very glad you enjoyed :)
The theme was exploited in a way I wasn't expecting, I find it quite smart. And damn, that nostalgia hits hard! Music really fitting and cute graphics :)
Cute graphics and mood!
@jmen-balec Thanks so much for the kind words <3 Glad u liked it.
@gord10ahmet Awesome to hear, thanks!!
