**Holy Hell. That was incredible.** One of the most intense endless runners I have ever played. The speed is beautiful. It does seem to get to a point where there is almost no reaction time, but the graphics are so crisp and the audio is pristine. The theme seems loosly integrated, as the 'sacrifice' of humans is really just a rewording of obstacles. The humans could have been solid walls, lasers or even dinosaurs and it would probably be the same game. I also had some difficulty identifying powerups vs. obstacles as they were the exact colour, and at high speeds the colour was really the only thing that was registering. I did however, quite enjoy the humour scattered throughout the game, it really improved the quality of the tutorial and gameplay. 5/5 for fun.
EDIT: Just got 250,700. By the time I had passed 100,000 the game was literally unplayable. There was **NO** reaction time what-so-ever. The only reason I made it an additional 150,000 is because the shield powerup is pretty O.P. and in the time it takes for that to recharge, I had enough modules to cop the damage. But seriously, there needs to be a max speed. At 250,000 I would have sent the player an epilepsy warning, because things were just flashes of colour across the screen. I didn't even see the thing that killed me.

Really great graphics and sound. Unfortunately, it felt like the obstacle were coming in too fast and with the curve of the track blocking the view there wasn't much time to react.

The game is good, the graphics are excellent and the audio pretty good too.
When the speed reach certain point is almost imposible to control anything, you can move the rocket around, but that doesn't change the fact that you can't avoid most things (no reaction time) and the ones you do avoid is mostly because they weren't in your way in the first place. At that point, the only thing you can do, is wait to the shield and EMP to charge and use it. The rapid succession of quick short turns was a problem too for me, didn't feel that I was in control of the rocket most of the time, and only was playing to use the EMP and the shield thing.
For the Threadpoints, I never understood how to position the rocket to not crash there.
Most of the time I didn't touch the controls, and notice that if you stay in the center and because the positions of the obstacles are randomly generated (I assume) you can get pretty far.
On the part of the sacrifice, I did not feel at any moment for the humans that were being sacrificed, and only the audio sample of the screams did not transmit it.
In general is a good entry, with excellent graphics.
_(I tried to be honest here, since I received very good feedback when you played my game on the stream)_

Loved the visuals and audio, really conveyed a feeling of speed. It felt like I didn't have any chance to react to new obstacles or power ups once my speed increased at all. I think that's probably the point? But I didn't really enjoy basically just waiting to see if the next corner would kill me because I knew there was nothing I can do about it. Maybe just some longer straights and don't put things immediately after curves? I think that would be enough. I noticed that the threadpoints basically pose no danger if your core is already exposed, which I think is a cool touch to give players a last desperate chance.

Awesome Game, Loved it!!!
Very nice racing game. I really enjoyed graphics and the feeling of speed. I do agree with the previous commcents that when the speed is too high you have no time to react. Just pure luck if you hit something or not. I didn't quite feel the sacrifice in the game but it is playable and cool.
Amazing game!

Visuals, the feel of speed and the Audio are great. It's possibly one of the fastest games I ever played and this is also a problem, at least for me. At the certain point of speed it was nearly impossible for me to avoid almost everything, except if I used the two special abilities. But because of the speed (at some point) it was just luck if i did collected the recharging items. But anyway for a jam game it's a very cool entry.

Overall a great game :D Loved it
Nice job, really well put together. It does feel that there is often a lack of choice - either not knowing what axes of the ship are going to be targeted (makes it less of a sacrifice and more of a random detriment) or having obstacles or powerups come up way too fast.
Nevertheless this is one of the most polished games i've seen come out this competition. Nice one.
The speed is sick! Fantastic visuals and music to boot! Only would say that its really hard to dodge stuff and hard to see what's incoming, and didn't really feel the theme. Really good game, congrats!
The visuals look really good. Yet the UI is pretty bad in my opinion, it is so cluttered. So many different font sizes, no highlights. Why is thread text so big compared to other elements. The filler bars left and right in the UI feel way too flat compared to the rest of the graphic quality, it actually annoyed me a bit. And there are so many types of text filling the screen at points in the game, it becomes overwhelming.
The Audio felt okay, it fit the game well... although also in the same negative manner. It felt really repetitive in a neutral to negative way. I didnt see the sacrifice them coming forth. It felt more like debuffs, which is as you said probably a play of words, yet I dont see it.
The sound effects felt fitting (although sometimes a bit loud or sharp). The voices did sound really well done, insane... because such additions usually feel cheap.
I really like the general feel of the game, yet it also feels like a bland endless runner to me. But it is fast, which in my opinion is really nice. I love the feeling of going insanely quick while dodging for my life.
All in all I did have good fun playing it even though I worded it in a negative manner. But I don't think I'll pick it up for a second time.

Wow! Nice work, the game feels great!
The visuals of the game look good, but the UI is cluttered as hell which makes it hard for me to see what needs to be done. I don't really see the sacrifice in the game to be fair, they are more like debuffs though. The music and sound effects start to get annoying really quick. I don't really feel in the game either because of it being an endless runner. The world just doesn't feel real because no world is endless, doesn't really speak to me.
Not sure how the theme fits in

Wanted to get this out the way first: Just a personal issue, but I didn't like the fact that you have to go through the donation screen to download the game. I really feel like that should be disabled on a jam game, but anyway, on to my comment..
Once I got in the game, I had a ton of fun, the game feels really well polished and is genuinely fun to play. The game however I found to be too easy, until it wasn't; you rapidly approach a part where you are moving so quickly it becomes incredibly hard to dodge obstacles let alone process what is happening. I thought the game was visually pleasing, and the music I enjoyed a lot; I think you guys did a great job.
Whoa. This looks dope. Any chance of a Mac or web build?
@izunah LOL, I didn't even know you can disable the donation screen! Sorry about that. I fixed it now. Thanks for the heads up.
@simonhutchinson I can release a raw Mac build, but you would need to chmod it yourself. i'm not sure how that works, really. :( Let me know if you're interested and I'll look into it.
Cool game. The graphics were great there was a real sense of speed. However, after a certain point I felt like it came entirely down to luck whether or not I would avoid the next obstacle.
I enjoyed playing your game. Just a few suggestions: I think the speed gets to fast way to quick, mabye start with a higher speed and increase it a bit slower over time. Second suggestion, sometimes there appeard some "yellow things" on my screen and I couldn't move, right before I was going through a hole...that was confusing, I couldn't do anything mabye with some other buttons, but that was confusing. Overall a great Ludum Dare game.
really good :))

I played this for so long. Super fun game!
@justcamh 250K. Nicely done. Yes, one of the strategies is to replace attachments with shield generators as much as possible and use them at opportune times. You could also do the same with EMP and drastically slow down very often. I agree with you on the epilepsy warning. Didn't have time, but should have added a slide for that. Our goal was making the fastest game we'd ever seen. I think we achieved that. :D Thanks for playing!

@mike-inprinciple When I say I got 250k, it wasn't from any good management. I felt deprived of control. You say there is a 'strategy' to keep shield generators, but you can't control what you get, and nor can you control what you lose. This is my biggest problem with the game. I wasn't in control, RNG was. An infinite runner like yours shouldn't ever get to a point that the player is simply an audience, and beyond 100k, I felt like a passenger, when I should have been the player. I did enjoy the game, but ultimately the late game was simply ruined by the lack of control.
Also, stat changes were too drastic. With (whatever item boosted maneuverability) you could move quickly, but without you couldn't avoid without five seconds of warning. And this game didn't give you 5 seconds of warning. Consequently, I don't think that maneuverability should have been a stat, or make it less drastic, with only small changes. When going at high speeds, part of the fun is having control, but ultimately the speed and module system took this away.
I really liked the game, but the ridiculous speed was ridiculous.

Amazing game i like it so much, I like music, sound and graphics. great idea. I love the feeling of speed. i think that this game is well-thought-out in all respects and generally well done
(thanks you for played my game on stream)
Just like other's comment, the feel of speed is awesome which make the gameplay is smooth and comfortable, also the graphics and music are great, it is satisfying to play. But yeah like other's criticism, the obstacle in late game is coming too fast, I think you should give player hint like you did for threadpoint!
Really well done, love the graphics and the gameplay, I feel the ship became a bit too unresponsive at time, not giving you the option to avoid obstacles even if you saw them in time.
the sound is also good music and sound effects. I didn't manage to get the hang of the thread points, it's really hard XD The sci-fi style is really nice too, that bit of neon and grain makes it look very fitting, a very good entry to a game jam, good job!
Such an awesome game! The screaming sound effect was a bit harsh and surprising when I first heard it, but that would make sense.. considering we're hitting humans. I love all of the visual effects and the slow motion feature really adds a great contrast to the speed theme. Overall, a solid endless runner!
This game looks incredible and has some potential. I'm a sucker for any game with any form of neon-glow as well as space-themed arcade titles and this fit that feel. The gameplay itself has a lot of polish and the 3D graphics look somewhat professional for a weekend project.
However, I wasn't sure how well the game fits with the theme, it seemed to apply it loosely. I'm also not a fan of the tutorial, I'd rather be able to play through an example level that would demonstrate what to do than go through a set of screenshots.

This is a sad excuse for a game and it doesn't even follow the theme. For all I know, you could've made this game before LD even started. The movement is very confusing and at times, it is impossible to maneuver around objects. There was no in game instruction or tutorial to help the player during the game, just a long slideshow of droning words that give the user no insight on what is coming when they start playing. Your game is extremely buggy; it did not run on my windows emulator, and then not even on my old windows PC. You are lucky I even played the game using the published source code because after 3 failed attempts in a row I would've quit. Even when I got to play the game, I was dissatisfied with the result.

Looks and sounds awesome. However, the rocket too quickly got to be moving too fast for the player to be able to make any meaningful movement to avoid humans, collect parts, or rotate out of the way of obstacles at threadpoints. This was only exacerbated by the track twisting relatively sharply along both the vertical and horizontal axes.
